First – Gorakhajaali asana -JOGA || VERSES 85 TO 87

Please understand the father of Hata Yoga Gorakah in his name only this asana is set. Usually in this posture only he sits. Actually I am making murthis of Gorakhnatha, Matsyendranatha and others in our ashram.

1. Be seated in a squatting position 2. Insert the hands in betweeen the thighs and calf muscles 3. Interlock the fingers 4. Rest the palm on the navel 5. Fix the gaze at the tip of the nose for 30 seconds.

Early morning sitting in this posture is really good. Especially all the gas will be released. Good for you, bad for others. Especailly people who are sitting behind you. They will discover what you ate yesterday. It is okay ☺

Now in this posture, - In Gorakhajaali asana - Next – Prakrithi Kumbhaka - KUMBHAKA PADDHATHI || VERSE: 70

As you chant the bija mantra “VA” loudly suck in the air in thorugh nostrils and mouth. Then when you are full, hold the breath as long as you can and slowly exhale normally. Do this 21 times.

Next step - KURMA KUMBHAKA-KUMBHAKA PADDHATHI||VERSE: 79

Stop blinking your eyes. Concentrate as strongly as you can on the tip of the nose. Do this for 2 minutes.

Next step. Change the asana – Kaani Paava asana-YOGASANA MALA SACHITRA || VERSE: 94

Rest the hands on the ground with comfortable (one to two feet) distance between them. Bend the elbows. Raise the legs off the ground. Let the knees touch the respective elbows. Balance the whole body on the palms. Be in this posture for 30 seconds.

Next – Vamavarta Chakra Kumbhaka-KUMBHAKA PADDHATI || VERSE: 107, 108

Inhale through left nostril. Hold the breath as long as you can judiciously. Exhale through the right nostril. Again inhale through left nostril and stop and relax. This whole pranayama gets completed with four action – inhaling through left, then holding, exhaling through righ and relaxing. Do this 21 times with this 4 actions. Next step – Dakshinavarta Shankha Kumbhaka - KUMBHAKA PADDHATI || VERSE: 106

Now please understand. Inhale through right nostril. Hold as long as you can judiciously. Exhale slowly through the left nostril. Inhale through right, hold and exhale through left. Repeat this 21 times.
