TRANSLATION-cum- TECHNIQUE

1. Stand straight on the ground 2. Balance yourself and place your left foot at the root of the left thigh 3. Bend a little your right knee 4. Bring the left knee close to the right ankle 5. Fold the hands in prayer position and place it near the chest

TRANSLATION

One should fill in the air sumptuously in his lungs and then adopt Jalandhara Bandha(EXPLAINED BELOW) firmly. If one lies on water it is called Plavini Kumbhaka. -Kumbhaka Paddhati , 171st Verse

TECHNIQUE

Rechayeth Moorchanaa-Kumbho

Mano-Moorchcha Sukha-Pradaaa ||170||

TRANSLATION

One should retain the inhaled breath by performing Jalandhara Bandha(EXPLAINED BELOW). Then he should slowly exhale in this Jalandhara Bandha itself. It is called Moorchana Pranayama. It conferes bliss by reducing the (Thoughts Per Second)TPS level.

TECHNIQUE

1. Inhale completely 2. Contract your throat 3. Rest the chin on the Chest 4. Hold the breath. 5. Exhale slowly in this posture itself. 6. As long as you can.when you are not able to do any more. 7. Do this 21 times.

1. Be seated on the ground 2. Bending the left leg, place the left heel under the anus 3. Fold the right leg and keep it upright placing the right foot close to the right buttock 4. Keep your hands on the respective knees 5. Fix the gaze at the tip of your nose.

TRANSLATION

One should take the breath in through the right nostril, hold the breath and then again inahale through the left nostril. He should with effort hold the breath again and exhale in the same order. This is known as krama-netra kumbhaka. This is also done in the reverse order. -KUMBHAKA PADDHATHI, 191st Verse

TECHNIQUE

1. Inhale through the right nostril 2. Hold the breath 3. Inhale through the left nostril 4. Hold the breath 5. Exhale through the right nostril 6. Hold the breath 7. Exhale through the left nostril. 8. Do this 21 times.
