Let us enter into today’s Satsang. In BG 3rd chapter 17th verse in Karma Yoga –

“yas tv atma-ratir eva syad atma-trptas ca manavah atmany eva ca santustas tasya karyam na vidyate |”

“On the other hand, one who delights in his own natural temperament, one who is satisfied with his essential nature, one who is pleased with his own self does not know of any want or need”

Very beautiful verse. Before commenting. Before entering into this verse I wanted to know how many of you …we Hindus have lost our backbone. I am not telling you to do any violence. I am not telling you to do anything violent. It is wrong to ban a book which is source of wisdom to billions of people on planet earth. So record your feelings in right places. Yesterday I received a mail from an old age home near Mumbai. Every day they watch my Satsang through eNtv. It seems morning they watched my Satsang. All of them signed and are sending it. I was so happy when I received the information ☺

People who are assisting me they may be wondering we have not presented any such email. I saw. It has come. Today you will present it to me ☺ I was so happy to see this. I thank personally all of you who have done this. Not even as a Peetadhipathi of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam or as a person of Hindu Tradition. I have personal respect to Gita which has helped me in so many ways in my young age and helped me be in high joy and contentment again and again. So my personal connection with Bhagavad Gita, in that capacity I thank all of you. So countries which have not done. Guadeloupe have you done it? Guadeloupe has no Russian embassy. All our centers in Bharat also should send their request to Russian embassy not to ban the Bhagavad Gita – allow the secular ideals, religious freedom – freedom of worship in our own ways in their country. It is unfortunate even though Russia has a long cherished friendship with Bharat, our Bharatn high command did not take this and do anything. anyhow it is our responsibility. It is unfortunate billion people religion does not have a political will to protect our backbone scripture. See only two points …one is sacredness of the Om and Bhagavat Gita. That’s all. Nothing else you can say as commonly accepted in all the sects and traditions in Hinduism. Maybe Ganga. Ganga is also accepted. So even if this one or two things they are not able to protect, it is really sad. Even Ganga is questioned by some of the Sampradayas who don’t accept Shiva, they question Ganga also. But Bhagavad Gita, even the Shaivites because Shankara is basically a Shaivite has written commentary on Bhagavat Gita. So Bhagavad Gita is not just respected by Vaishnavites. It is respected by all traditions of Hindus. Om and Bhagavat Gita are the only connecting thread of the Hindu Tradition. Let us keep that connecting thread alive, pure, enriched.

I will enter into the sutra.

Bhagavan is continuing from the last two verses. The Yesterday’s verse in the last verse Bhagavan was talking about aimlessly moving. Just like a foolishly moving. I tell you losing the aim is not big. Just by one slip you miss it. because the slipping becomes pattern. You can see in your life very simple action. Even if you have taken vow you will not smoke, one day in one party if you tasted it, your mind will say next day …over one leads to the other. Same way, one day if you miss Yoga – oh yesterday was Swamiji’s birthday let me not go today. Next day you will see again to bring you back to that Sadhana to the sincerity of that Sadhana, you may have to struggle more than one week because the sleeping becomes pattern. That is why in Shaiva tradition they say you don’t need to do big worship like you need to pour milk, curd, all the flowers and all that. you don’t need to pour all that. Just pour little Ganges water and one leaf but has to be done regularly. Regularity has been emphasized in Shaivism. In Vaishnavite tradition being elaborate is emphasized. Even Venkateshwara takes bath once in a week! It seems they had the record the other day - One lakh seventy three thousand people had Darshan in one day! Vaishanavism emphasizes on elaborateness. SHaivism is based on regularity because it is based more on Sadhana. …the lesson I want to tell you through this is regularity. When the regularity is lost, aim is lost. It is very easy to forget. Ramakrishna was teaching to his group of disciples, sanyasi disciples. He tells them some instruction about meditation. They are supposed to drink curd and do certain Praanaayaama. He thought them because that technique will generate heat, he told them do this and drink curd. So they started. After two days he called them and asked do you guys have enough curd for tomorrow? They said no tomorrow I will leave the body. so go get curd and be ready otherwise you will miss it. And actually he left the body. the disciples did the Sadhana! Guru is dead, his body is lying. It is not that thousands of other people are there to take care of his body. No. there is a group photo – surely not more than 25 people. I can be sure. Only these fellows have to take the body, cremate and do all the rituals. But he says get your curd and keep it. and there is a Bengali dish they have to eat for cooling the stomach. He tells get all that and keep it. Because I left the body there will be chaos and you guys will say there is no time to get curd and you will miss the Sadhana. So it was only …

In RamaKrishna mission Mangalore there was one Swami Sundanandaji – he was a great Paramahamsa! Very rarely 3rd generation, 4th generation creates Paramahamsas. I am 100% sure he is a Paramahamsa. He was running an orphanage. He told the administration, tomorrow I will die, get all the things needed for the kids for tomorrow. He handed over the key and died! Another one Sadhu from RK mission T Nagar his name was Uddhavananda. I don’t know if he was enlightened. But great Sadhu. He was training group of Bramhacharis. Head quarters ordered him to train group of Bramhacharis. His responsibility was to train and mold them. just one day before his passing away he ensured that their practice is not disturbed. He put another one person as in charge to monitor their practice. He called all the Bramhacharis and told by tomorrow I will not be here. He was teaching Katopanishad and MundakaUpanishad. He had to complete 2, 3 verses. He completed all that and ensured the smooth transition to another acharya and then left the body!

So much of emphasis on continuity of the Sadhana. But it is unfortunate only few people hold that intensity. Even in Ramakrishna mission. And in the 3rd generation few followed it. One generation is 30 years. 1886 he left the body, 1986 100 years, 4 generations are over. Now in the 5th generation somebody is setting a trend but unfortunately it is never as a life style. It is only as an exemption. But still 10% of Ramakrishna mission Sadhus don’t retire. Till death they don’t retire. In our Sampradaya you can be retired only organizationally. No retirement as far as spiritual practice is concerned. I am making it very clear. Only organizational responsibility you can retire. But spiritual practice no retirement. I am making this as a rule in Nithyananda Sampradaya. Even if you have become enlightened till your body the spiritual practices as a rule have to be followed. Even if you are enlightened, out of gratitude you are bound to me. so follow this rule! No question of breaking the sadhana. Understand this is the way it is going to be. Till you are enlightened, you are going to be sitting with the physical body you are going to be doing the Guru puja, when you have become enlightened, you will be sitting with the physical body and divine body and do Guru puja. After you leave the body, you will be sitting just with your divine body and continue Guru puja! …

See now I have the manushya sareera and Divya sareera. When I leave the manushya sareera, I will continue the morning satsang with Divya sareera. I am making this as a rule in Nithyananda loka also. In all three times morning routine is compulsory! Understand. That is not going to change. Sadhana is not going to change.

In Buddha’s life 6 years he was struggling but never got the opening. One day he decided I am not going to miss my aim for a single moment. Even if my bones drain, my flesh dries in this very spot, I am not going to move my body and mind fromt eh aim – itam aasanam sushyate sareeram – let this body become dry, let the blood drain out, let the flesh just melt, but I am not going to move the body and mind away from the aim! And in seconds he became enlightened! Strength of sticking to the ultimate aim, Bhagavan expands the glory of the strength of sticking to the ultimate aim in the last verse. In this verse he says the man who sticks to the ultimate aim the glory of the self has nothing to achieve. He says if you are sticking to the aim and the glory of the self, you are fulfilled! You neither have any want nor have any need. You are fulfilled! If you have the human body now, morning sit in the Satsang and remind your inner space about the spiritual truths. Don’t worry I may not talk every day same thing. I may talk different different. But it may be in the same tune, same frequency. Tomorrow itself I may say drop all the aims, drop all goals. That and this is the same. I mean the same thing. when you sit and listen to this everyday truths, becoming distracted or aimless wandering is avoided. You are centred on the truth. You are centered on the ultimate. So if you are in the human body, sit in the Morning satsang. The day you become enlightened, sit with human body and Divine body divya sareera both. One day you may lose the human body then sit in the divya sareera. So all three times that will not change. So now itself decide. Either youa re going to sit in the form of flesh and bones or in the form of light. Whether you are going to sit in Nithyananda Nagara or Nithyananda Loka make this as a life. If you just have the habit of sitting in the Satasang it is enough because every day I will beat in different different ways and it will automatically radiate through you.

See in the young age they use the tuning fork to check the child’s ears. If you have one tuning fork vibrating, take the other tuning fork near, it will automatically start vibrating. I am the tuning fork vibrating. You just bring your dumb tuning fork near this it will also start vibrating. One tuning fork being brought to another vibrating tuning fork to make it vibrate is what is called Satsang. Fortunately you have technology support you. You are not in the period of Buddha where you have to constantly be around Buddha physically. Now that problem is solved. eNtv has liberated you. Wherever you are just log into I-phone. All you need is just an I-phone! I have seen this sincere Muslims, even if they are travelling in train or flight, the moment the time for Namaz they get into prayer. Same way, a sincere seeker, the moment 7 o clock comes, sit with your I-phone or laptop. Make this as your life style. Naturally you will never lose the aim of life, you will not wander, you will nto miss it. that will just become part of your very being, part of you. That morning tuning your being and radiating your frequency will become life style in you.

In this verse Bhagavan is praising the person in whom the Satsang has become life style. Being with the self has become life style. He neither has want nor has need. So start rejoicing in the self

“yas tv atma-ratir eva syad “

Actually this Satsang is nothing but creating a feeling connection in you with yourself… I am just making that as a life style in you. that’s all!

“yas tv atma-ratir eva syad atma-trptas ca manavah atmany eva ca santustas tasya karyam na vidyate |”

Sometimes when I read this poetic expression the way Krishna has put it, I feel like when I see him, I will hold his both cheeks and shake and hug him! if you understand little Sanskrit you will know. Tasya karyam na vidyate – there is nothing to know or nothing to feel as need. After 5,000 years nobody is able to update the expression of this guy. Then what an intelligence! See now I am struggling…I want all of you to know I assist and give them guidance and then I proof read. But sitting with the dictionary and collecting all the words my Sanskrit team is doing. …If there is ten words Sanskrit words, each word has a meaning. I will tell them to pen down all the meanings. We will not have 100 words. I want all the 100 words to appear in the meaning. That is the way I want the translation. Sometime a word may not have 10, but 6 or 7 meanings. How many meanings are there in the dictionary, all those words should appear in the translation without missing a single idea of what masters are trying to convey. Perfect way in which Bhagavan has put in Sanskrit and perfect way of putting it in English. What a perfect way Bhagavan has done this. there is nothing to update! I bow down to that great intelligence putting all this great truths in such a perfect poetic way! Let you all become Atmarathis. Atmarathi means enjoying the self, enjoying the Satsanga. Satsanga means communion with yourself or the person who reminds you to be in communion with yourself. See being with yourself or person or book which reminds you is also Satsanga. All the three can be called as atmarathi. I bless you all. Let you all have atmarathi.
