“All right!”
All right! Let’s start working on Manomaya Kosha. Understand the technique. It’s very simple. Just like Pranamaya Kosha 😃. Only thing we need to work on it. Very simple. See, now you can’t, you… you worked with the prana, now we are going to work on the inner chattering. Just we have only one word, only one word. Nothing else. And witness that we are entering into that word. Listen here! You are going to witness your inner chattering. If you directly witness your inner chattering, you will not be able to witness. You will be uttering continuously the word, “witness, witness, witness.”
So now I am giving you the technique. Just have one word. Take this one word ‘Ananda’. ‘Ananda’ is the ultimate word. Take that word ‘Anandam’, just ‘Anandam.’ Repeat that word like a mantra and witness it. Don’t chant like mantra, “Anandam-Anandam-Anandam-Anandam-Anandam”, no! The word should come and you should witness it. You should be aware that you are chanting that word. You should be aware that you are chanting that word. “Anandam Anandam Anandam Anandam Anandam”, the awareness should be there, that you are chanting that word.
Understand, first we worked on Annamaya, on your movements. Next we worked on Pranamaya, on the prana movements. Now, Manomaya, on the mental movements, on the mental movements. Then Vijnanamaya only, the emotional movements. That is different. Let’s not bother about that now. Now let us work on the Manomaya. Just repeat that one word: “Anandam, Anandam” or even the, ahh… your spiritual names, you can use it. Your own spiritual name which I gave. Even that word is directly related to your being. Just use that word, use that word. No problem. But continuously witness that. Either take up word “Anandam”, or use your spiritual name. Just continuously repeat that word and be aware. No other word should be allowed. “It is very boring”, “it is tiring”, “time is up”, “let’s go to meeting” - no other word.
Participant: Swamiji, how about your name, we can [..]?
SPH: No! No, no, no, no, no, no! No! No other words should be allowed. Neither the thought, “oh, let’s go and eat”, it’s again one word, “let us go and eat”, “it is boring.” No! None of these words should be allowed. Just remove and throw it away. Remove that, those words. Only this one word is allowed: ‘Anandam’ and the witnessing. You should witness, ah yes [..]
Participant: Should we forget about the prana or maintain [..]
SPH: Yes, ah, now forget about the prana. Mmh. Now forget about the prana. Mmh. Okay, clear? Clear with the technique? Any doubt?
Participant: Say it loudly or [..]
SPH: No, inside. It should not be beyond manipuraka. Tongue should not move. Be very clear. Even inside the tongue should not move. I’ll guide you. First, make the tongue very stiff and straight. Feel the tongue has become like a stone. Then you should repeat. Then naturally you will see slowly your Consciousness drops to this area \<Swamiji pointing to His Anandha Gandha\>, and there you should repeat. “Anandam, Anandam, Anandam”, even the “Anandamanga Irungal” , that’s a wonderful word.
That is the word which came to Me first after Enlightenment; when I settled into the body. But that, that didn’t come in Tamil language, it came in as a concept, in the ‘Prakrita.’ ‘Prakrita’ means, as a idea it came out. Then, of course, after all the mind which I was having, is trained only to Tamil language. It came out in Tamil language. Even that word is ok. Either the word ‘Anandam, or ‘Anandamaga Irungal” or your NSP name, your name. In these 3 anyone you choose. Don’t mix all the three. Take up one and repeat only that one. Only repeat that one.
Participant: NSP - full names or one word
SPH: Yes. You have to repeat the whole thing. Okay?
Participant: If some other word comes [..]
SPH: No, you’re not supposed to follow. Just break it and throw it out. Okay? Clear with instruction? Any doubt with instruction? Anybody who is tired or bored?
Participant: ஆனந்தம் சொல்லிட்டு...
SPH: Ahh?
Participant: ஆனந்தம் சொல்லிட்டு அப்புறம் வந்து நம்ம ரிப்பீட்டு(repeat) ஆகுதுதான்னு கவனிக்குமா ?
SPH: Ahh... கன்டினியூசா ரிப்பீட்டு ஆயிக்கிட்டே இருக்கணும் அது. தானாவே ரிப்பீட் ஆகும் நீங்க ஒன்னும் பயப்பட வேண்டாம். ஜஸ்ட் விட்னஸா இருங்க போதும். ம்ம்ம்...
SPH: Mmh? Yes.
Participant: I have been already trying to use this…,
SPH: Oh!
Participant: By repeating the name.
SPH: Oh your new name?
Participant: hm new name
SPH: Ah, that’s nice. It means already you have started entering into Manomaya. Mmh. How…, how you started? Just like that?
Participant: Just like that, when we come back from office, we want to sit. So, we do not have any other idea, having the… you said, you have to be aware of your name.
SPH: Yes.
Participant: That made me, too.
SPH: Yes, that is the right thing. Nice. So you yourself now started creating techniques 😃.
Participant: You also told in the NSP Swami
SPH: Ahh. Mmh. Repeat your name.
SPH: Ready now? Please sit straight and close your eyes. Visualize you are locking all your joints. Yes.
Participant: Swamiji, can I keep the eyes open, because I can do it better with the eyes open?
SPH: No, no, no, no, no, no. With the eyes open always thoughts will come.
Participant: It doesn’t become…, for years it is like that.
SPH: 😃 Then you mastered the technique of sleeping with the eyes open. Better close your eyes. That’s the best thing.
\<Meditation music is playing in the background\>
SPH: Close your eyes. Visualize first that you are locking all the joints. Lock the knee joints. Lock the backbone joint. Feel your tongue has become just like a stone. Don’t let your tongue move even in a slight way. Even the slightest movement of your tongue should be stopped. Even that should not be allowed. Visualize, all your joints are locked. Lock the shoulder joints lock the neck joint.
Start repeating the word. Witness the word, being repeated in your being. Effortlessly repeat that word, very slowly and witness it. Witnessing is a important thing. Witness it.
Don’t chant like a mantra. Repeat with awareness and witnessing Consciousness. Give a gap between every, every mantra. After repeating every word, witness it. Witness the words which is happening in you.
