Prayer. Welcome. Before entering into the today’s sutras, I wanted to remember with deep respect the whole tradition of Brahma Vidya –

Om Brahmaadbyo brahma Vidya sampradaya …vamsa rishibhyo, namo manabhyo gurubhaya!

In the Brahma Vidya Sampradaaya, Guru, who transmits the understanding which is irrevocable, irretrievable plays a major role. In the path of devotion, God, your chosen deity - plays a major role. In the path of yoga, the technique plays a major role. In the path of meditation, the technology plays a major role. When I use the word technology I mean all the things around the meditation. In the path of yoga you may not need the music, in the path of yoga other accessories for the technique. But in the path of meditation, it is not just technique , technology - you need some more accessories.

In each path you need some things for the ultimate to happen in you. But in Brahma Vidya Sampradaya the only one requirement you need is Guru. If you and Guru are lost in some forest where nothing else is available that is enough for you to get enlightened. Actually when both of you are lost in some forest where nothing else is available, the enlightenment is easy and quick. No other entertainment is possible. That is the reason, always the Brahma Vidya Sampradaya , the Guru & disciples get lost in forests. Before entering into today’s sutras I wanted to share some more truths related to Brahma Vidya Sampradaaya. As I was expanding yesterday, awakening your complete understanding, awakening your complete life, awakening your complete existence fulfillment in awakening – this fulfillment happens through so many ways. I was describing only few examples yesterday like Yoga, meditation, dhyana, tantra or karma some are examples. But the uniqueness of this Brahma Vidya Sampradaya means the tradition of Vedanta Vidya, tradition of sitting & listening to these great truths is some way unique. Because just by the proper understandings the deepest possibilities of your inner space is brought to life. You guys are fortunate you have somebody or some energy which chooses perfect words – which is master in choosing words. Because in Brahma vidya sampradaya the words play a major role. It can bring tremendous understanding. It can move literally mountains. It can move mountains literally! It can put you in the restful awareness very casually. Nothing is required. nothing at all! That is why the Brahma Vidya Sampradaya is always misunderstood and many times lost. Because in this sampradaya the one and only thing you need is an awakened Guru. When awakened Guru is there no tool is required because no tools are used, nothing is left. Words do not leave foot prints in the air, but buffalo leaves a deep foot print in the sludge. If you are travelling in the path of buffalo footprints are left because of the sledge. Techniques, methods, methodologies, path – the path travelled will be there. You can easily catch it, live it. Again & again you can travel. But the unique thing in the Brahma Vidya Sampradaya, Vedanta Sampradaya is no foot prints left. No techniques are left. No methodology. If you analyze, analyze exhaustively all the Vedanta literature, you will see only 3 advice – sravana, manana, nidhi dhyasana means listen, imbibe, express. Come on, what to listen? There is no answer! whom to listen? There is no answer! what to imbibe? There is no answer! what to express? There is no answer! Brahma Vidya Sampradaya does not leave foot prints. It is an ecstasy. Words do not leave foot print in the sky. Paramahamsas do not leave technique trials in the conscious inner space! This is one of the great advantage in the vedic tradition Brahma Vidya Sampradaya. Same way it is disadvantageous – it is completely master centric. That is why all the Vedanta sampradayas are Guru cults. I am using the word cult purposely. Of course the truth is cultures. I want to tell all the Guru followers, all the vedantis who think if you follower of your Guru, you think only your Guru is culture and all others are cult. I want to tell you all - all Hindu Sampradayas are either cult or culture. How you look is the only difference. All Hindu sampradayas, all Vedanta sampradayas can be considered as cult or culture. If you think It only depends on how you look at it. If you say some sampradayas are cult then all sampradayas are cult . If you say some sampradayas are culture then all sampradayas are culture . Because in Vedanta sampradaya there is nothing else left. No technique, no karma. Nothing needs to be done. All you need is a master who sit in front of you and who goes on giving understanding - deeper and deeper %& deeper understanding. Who goes on peels you. So in this whole Vedanta sampradaya the only requirement is a proper Guru. Beautifully Vedanta Sampradaya describes how to catch the right Guru. Peel all the things which are common. For example, if you take me, if I have an organization, there are so many other organizations which have organization. So remove my organization from my glory. If I have a body, many others have body so remove that part, same way remove my oratory powers… Go on peeling, peeling. Finally at one point your logic will nto be able to peel futher but still he has something more than all these things put together. When your logic feels I cannot peel further, I have peeled everything. Even when all these things are removed, there is something more than all these things put together, when you feel this understanding with somebody – he is your Guru. If that does not happen and in 2-3 peels he is not there. Then don’t worry. He is not your Guru. Forget about it. he is not worthy of being your Guru you are not worthy of being his disciple.

The Guru disciple relationship is sacred and should be started after thorough study & research and should never be ended. Should be started after thorough research & should never be ended! I tell you ending the Guru disciple relationship in your life is the worst crime you will do to yourself, worst punishment you are imposing upon yourself, worst conspiracy against your Self. One more thing I want to tell you change of Guru is perfectly alright. Nothing wrong. For example you go to one Guru, after some time you feel you have grown out of him and you are more mature then nothing wrong if you leave him and feel connected to somebody else. If you feel you have grown out of your Guru and feel drawn to someone else is perfect. But dropping the Guru and not have any other Guru is a crime. Means you did not drop because you found another higher Guru but you dropped because you have fallen. Your arrogance, ego, hatred has come in between.

In the brahma vidya sampradaya guru can send disciple to another Guru. It is accepted. Or a disciple can decide to join another Guru. That is accepted and traditional. No problem. But when you drop from a Guru for some other reason – useless, foolish and dumb reasons then something is seriously wrong! Understand, unless you are ready to jump out of your junk logic, stupid logic & have certain maturity, you are not for Brahma Vidya. In Brahma Vidya you are not even asked to surrender. There is no saranagati – no. There is no surrender – no. Funny thing with Brahma Vidya sampradaya is once the disciple is initiated, the Guru has to do puja to him! once the disciple is initiated, he is made to sit in the seat and Guru will do aarthi. Because here the knowledge, the Vidya holds the centre. Nothing else matters. Brahma Sutras does not start with Iyama, niyama, asana, pranayama. No. but there are some interpolations in the course of time, in the name of sadhana chatushtaya they try to bring sadhana to the brahma vidya sampradaya also. But originally, the tradition does not require anything else but you having a master and understanding his words. That’s all. Nothing else. Very beautifully Shankara puts it -

Manushyatva mumukshutva maha purusha samsaya

Manushyatva – human body, mumukshutva – seeking, and the nearness of a maha purusha – enlightened being. That’s it! Nothing else is needed. The brahma vidya sampradaya, in Vedanta sampradaya I can say most easiest path because you don’t need to do anything except listening. In all other traditions you need to do something after listening. For example, in Bhakti tradition you need to listen about bhakti and then you need to practice it, in the yoga tradition you need to listen about yoga and then you need to practice it. But in Vedanta sampradaya just listen that’s all. No need to practice anything. That is why I said I will not give you any homework. No homework, no need to practice anything. The listening has become so powerful. The listening has become so intense. When an incarnation expresses this great truths it is said even devas come and listen. Not only that even the deities shake their head and listen! There are 1000s and 1000s of stories how when a master expresses the great truths, the Gods & Goddesses come & sit and listen and deities will stay there with their intense presence. All you need is to listen, listen, listen. That is why J.Krishnamurthy says – J.Krishnamurthy is from Brahma Vidya Sampradaya even though he denies all sampradayas. He does not need to accept that he belongs to brahma vidya sampradaya but we accept him because we know from where he is coming. He goes on repeating Listening is God, Listening is God because nothing else is required for you to experience God. And I tell you even Gods listen. I said yesterday when a master expands on truth, it is not just words. In the cosmos there are so many great happenings floating like a bubble, balloon. They are all floating. I can say the happening of Jesus. Because it has become a successful experiment it becomes independent intelligence. Happening of Krishna, happening of Rama, happening of Judas – means a guy who was a disciple once upon a time suddenly turns against the Guru and tries to abuse. So all these things are like floating bubble and have independent intelligence in the space. To whatever bubble you tune yourself that becomes a part of your life. You become part of that happening and that happening becomes part of your life.

Bhagavan Veda Vyas sitting and revealing truths about comos, and enlightenment and intelligence that enlightening experience has already become an independent intelligence. It is floating around. When someone comes again in the same frequency, without any gap in time and space, that just opens up and expresses. It just opens up and expresses! Today morning I was trying a powerful samyama technique of becoming invisible. Suddenly I said I will disappear in front of your eyes in this seat before the satsang. Any logical man will have little fear to utter these words. Even I thought Oh God! What am I saying. I should do it. and it is not that I have 10 years time. I have just ½ hour. And I should make it happen. But it was not that the word was from me, the very happening is expressing. I can say very clearly at least few people have experienced it. Not only that, I can see the next next samyamas will bring such tremendous experience. Maybe this is preparing people for that experience. It is not just a satsang. It is a happening. It is just opening! Let us enter into today’s sutra –

Swami Gambhirananda – that is Brahman from which are derived the birth, etc of this universe

Swami Vishweshwarananda - Brahman is that omniscient omnipotent from which proceed the origin of this word!

Let us see how Saraswathi translates! I dedicate this whole translation & commentary of Brahma Sutras to Saraswathi - mother Saraswathi!

Janmaadyasya yataha !

This whole universe came from the existence! Now, you need to understand the sacred secret in this sutra. The sacred secret in this sutra is nothing can come out of anything. Yesterday I was telling you when I expanded on yesterday’s sutras “Athatho Brahma Jignyasa” - let us enquire into the reality of existence – it means you are ready to drop all the ideas you have about reality. Only then you will be able to enter into reality. The ideas you have about reality you should be ready to drop it!

Now I am taking you into the reality

Janmaadyasya yataha

Means from the Brahman this universe originated. I wanted all of you to know if something can come out from something, the thing which came out how can this be something other than from which it came out? If this world came out of the Brahman, then how can this world be something other than the Brahman – the existence? No. it cannot be something other than Brahman. Then Brahman cannot be causing you illusion or delusion or suffering or pain. Then how am I having the suffering, the pain, the illusion, the delusion the pleasure? So somewhere the logic is hitting, it is not matching. The equation is not working out. So before understanding this sutra, you need a certain understanding about the impossibility of logic. There are some things impossible for logic to grasp or express. I will give you one simple example – a normal simple understanding – a rope can be used only for pulling, not for pushing. A bar can be used only for pushing not for pulling. There is no arithmetic logical calculation to come to this conclusion in any robots. Understand it is such a simple understanding. Still the scientific community is struggling how to make this understand to the robot. Because there is no logical conclusion, no arithmentic conclusion which can be told to the robot to understand that a rope can be used only for pulling, not for pushing, a bar can be used only for pushing not for pulling. The robot can see only bars and circles, it cannot come to the comprehension. The logic or arithmetic calculations which you believe as base of life does not have solution or cognition of this simple fact. Just this simple fact. Yesterday I was looking into a wonderful book – physics of impossible! I was really shocked. Wow! What a clarity! It is such a simple understanding - a rope can be used only for pulling, not for pushing. A bar can be used only for pushing not for pulling. No robot can come to this conclusion because there is no arithmetic logical formula to feed this information or to come to this conclusion. The whole Greek civilization is built on arithmetic logic. The whole modern civilization is standing on such a loose, shallow, one dimension of existence. Please understand that is why I am telling you building life on logical arithmetic calculation is a waste. Any fort can stand only on few 1000s of pillars. These guys are trying to make huge palaces on one pillar. Your life is a huge palace, humanity is a huge palace. But this Greek civilization is trying to make that huge palace stand on only one part that is on Arithmetic logic. But the vedic civilization and saraswathi civilization is trying to build the civilization on reality! When you start your education you are taught athatho…let us enter into reality not arithmetic logic. No!

But unfortunately the whole thinking, the fuel of Greek civilization, the driving force of Greek civilization, driving force of western civilization is very primitive. That is the right word I will use – very primitive. Very very primitive! Even this idea of one God is nothing but the arithmetic logic’s insecurity. In arithmetic logic 2 is always against 1, 0 is always against 1. The insecurity of the arithmetic logic is responsible for monotheistic society. All the Ganges civilization, religions evolved from there do not believe in one God.

I want all the so called secular communities who go on saying Hinduism says God is one. No. Hinduism says Gods are many. These guys go on saying Hinduism says Ultimately God is one. I tell you God is never one, but God is beyond duality. That’s all. I would say God is never ekatva – God is advaitha – beyond duality. Come on. This is reality. We are not arithmetic logic based religion. We do not have insecurity based on arithmetic logics. Our tradition is based on Arhantas – means enlightened ones not arithmetic. How many trillions of cells are there in your system, that many trillions of Gods are there. Each cell in your brain is a God. We have an understanding to awaken each cell. The understanding to awaken each cell is a mantra. So you need to look. Look in! The deepest truths should be heard from a person who has travelled to that depths. So the arithmetic logic cannot explain all the questions on reality. You need to use that logic in the initial level and hit the reality as it is!

Janmaadyasya yataha!

This whole cosmos comes out of this reality. Then it means what? Whatever is - is reality! Then if you are having fear, pain, pleasure, greed, suffering through any of this, look into the fear, look into the pain, look into the pleasure, look into the greed, look into the suffering for solution not into the reality. Reality is from reality, in reality, to reality! Creation, sustenance, dissolving, destruction - all 3 happens in reality, by reality for reality!

If you touch and see the wall of the room in which you are sitting, it is reality. But if that wall gives you the problem of - it is yours, not yours, and all the problems comes because of you owning it or not owning it - then analyze the problem not based on the wall but based on the mind which creates all those problems! The person who is sitting next to you is reality. If you have problem of friendliness or enmity, then analyze the problem in the friendliness or enmity not on that person. Arithmetic logic goes on inspiring impressing you to find out the problem on reality. But the 1st sutra of the Brahma sutras makes you understand problems should be analyzed, understood, solved not in reality but where it is felt. A complete shift in the understanding of life!

Reality - Cosmos is the origin of the world. I think these 2 words – cosmos, world looks too many words. I can say these are attributions. For example the man who is wearing yellow dress – it is an attribute. The man who is seeing the ocean is an attribute. If I say bring that man who saw the ocean, only the man can be bought but the attribute ocean cannot be brought.

So all these are attributes and the whole problem boils down to your dictionary and my dictionary. I make a statement world comes out of cosmos. Then you ask what is comsos, what is world. then cosmos comes out of the world. what is cosmos, what is world. both are one and the same! So

Origin happening, ending is IS! There is no change. Anywhere you feel change find out the problem where you feel the change. Not in what is. What IS – IS- IS! Where problem is should be looked upon. So the solution comes when you analyze the feeling. The healing happens when you analyze the feeling of pain or pleasure or sorrow or fear or suffering. It does not happen if you try to peel the wall. Peel the feeling not the reality. But you go on try to peel the reality!

Janmaadyasya yataha!

It means reality comes out of reality. Origin of reality is reality. Naturally reality cannot be giving any suffering, reality cannot be giving any fear for you. You cannot be greedy of reality. Because reality? How can reality be afraid of reality? Then, if you feel I am having greed, I am having fear, then look into where you are having it, not into What is. When you look into where you are having it only you will understand the idea having it is only having it. Not you are having it! If there are few moments in your life without fear, then how can fear happen in you? See, anything happens should be eternal. If something is not eternal, it has not only not happened once, it has never happened! If illusion is not eternal, not only it is not ephemeral, it never existed!

Then you may say yesterday I felt it. Forget about it! Yesterday we were deeply discussing on the brahmasutras, the reality started. One brahmachari asked how maya gets destroyed? I told him this understanding will really help all of you. I told him maya never gets destroyed. In the Vaidya sarovar there was one flower that was floating. We were all sitting on the banks of Vaidya Sarovar. I asked does that flower affect us? No. because we have grown beyond it, the flower not only not affects us, it does not practically exist for us. But for a small ant floating on the water, that flower can either be a hindrance or a support – a boat to cross the water. For it the flower exists as Maya. Then he said Oh we overgrow, out grow maya. Then the question came – does that mean I outgrow maya? I said no, when you over grow maya, not only for you but for your whole world – your family, friends who were in the same frequency as you, for all of them too maya does not exist! So when you out grow maya, you understand even for the whole world around you which is in same frequency as you also maya does not exist! I gave the same example of the flower. Not only for me, but for all of us also who are in the same frequency the flower does not exist.

Same way the reality – I know I am just shaking many heads. I tell you when I read this brahma sutra first time, 6 months it took for me to digest. It is literally like eating stones and digesting. I lost 10 kg just by reading the book. Nothing else. Your whole logic has to grind it, grind it, grind it. It is like nava pashana chewing the stone. Before this Shiva Rathri we did some cleaning work in that Shiva Linga. We did a traditional repairing to do Kumba Abhishekam again on Shivarathri day. That time we In our vaidya sarovar we checked and saw the power of navapashana on the stone – the stones have dissolved and has become powder and has become now one single piece. Now this Shiva linga does not require repair for at least the next 1000 years. Because it has become a single piece. Not only that, anything you apply on it because the shiva linga continuously inhales and exhales - breathes no paint stands on it! how many times these guys have tried to apply color on it. immediately bubbles form on it. They asked me what is this Swamiji how many times we try to color but it is not possible. I said go & put a thread in front of the linga you will see how beautifully rythimically it breathes. That shiva linga very beautifully inhales and exhales. The stone loses its existence into nava pashanam. Same way, your ordinary arithmetic logic looses its power into reality when you deeply understand this brahma sutra. So the sacred secret from this sutra is

Reality is reality is reality is reality! It comes from, stays in, goes back into it!

Then why this suffering, bondage, liberation? These are all just the foolish words taught to you. Just junk those words and be liberated! Now you will think – wow, that is true then what about my day to day problems like food, shelter, name & fame, prestige, society, money? Come on, look into those problems where they exist. They don’t exist in reality! When you understand the reality comes out of reality and goes back to reality, all these problems become a small flower floating on the water. They become insignificant to you. Go on increasing the understanding again & again & again and establishing yourself into the reality - is Brahma Vidya.

I will go on everyday different different different dimensions of reality. Today one dimension -

Reality goes out, comes from and goes back into reality. It can never cause any suffering, greed, fear to you. If you have any suffering, greed, fear then be very clear you need to work on the feeling and not in reality itself. The arithmetic logic is constantly tumbling and that is the depression of the great civilizations. I wanted the western civilizations to understand with my deep love I want them to understand – please understand unfortunately you built your civilization on a wrong pillar – arithmetic logic. That is why you go on suffering with deep depression & emptiness. Here is a solution. Come on! Here is a solution. Build re-strategize! Fortunately the western mind is open, curious, inquisitive, ready to imbibe the great truths. I am telling you catch it – build, re-strategize, re-plan, review, re-think your basic understandings based on reality not on arithmetic logic. The understandings of the intelligent one are taught as faith for ordinary ones and gets developed as a religion in course of the time. So the understandings of the intelligent ones need to be reviewed, revised, re-planned. And when those understandings are reviewed, re-planned, re--viewing will change the re-ligion! Whatever is handed over to the common ones as religion – please understand science is a religion, each department – clothes designing is a religion, construction is a religion. Each department is a religion! It is a religions. So each religion needs to review relook, re-plan, re-strategize all the understandings they have about reality based on this one great revelation –

Life cannot be built on logical arithmetics. It has to be built on reality which comes from, stays in, goes back in reality which cannot cause fear, greed, suffering. So anywhere the fear, greed, suffering is felt you need to attend, look into - that part, not the reality. This understanding will change the very way we we look and perceive living – Life! I know for sure these words will ring in you even in your dream! I am going to be nightmare for millions of people. I can say nightmare not in a bad way but a nightmare which awakens you from dreams! Listen, listen, listen. The words I am coining and designing and it is expressing, I am seeing very clearly - when I utter those words I see very clearly those parts of my brain are just opening up and I can see very clearly people who are listening to these words even in their brains those parts are also just opening up! If you are sitting there like Devas in front of Narayana for Amrutha, you will receive it. But if you are standing like Rahu & Ketu to steal the amrutha, not only you will not get the amrutha…☺ So you are entering into the non-return zone!

I bless you all to imbibe this great reality! Just sit now for few minutes. You don’t need to meditate, you don’t need to contemplate, you don’t need to do any technique. Techniques are for ordinary people. Just sit. No technique, no meditation, no process. Just sit. You will see your Kundalini awakening. This understanding which I gave you now will go on in your system. Let the Upanishad happen now. Just sit. You don’t even need to close your eyes. Just sit.
