{03:27} Let’s enter into today’s Satsang. In Bhagavad Gita, 2nd chapter, Sankhya Yoga, 50th verse –

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha ubhe sukrta-duskrte tasmad yogaya yujyasva yogah karmasu kausalam”

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha ubhe sukrta-duskrte tasmad yogaya yujyasva yogah karmasu kausalam”

Translation - “endowed with the wisdom of evenness of mind, move away from both good and evil deeds in this life. Devote yourself in Yoga. Skill in action is Yoga”

My own translation. Now I am sitting and doing this new translation -

“In this world the one filled with knowledge relinquishes both virtuous and evil deeds. Therefore attach yourself to application for application is natural property of skillfulness!”

{06:16} The keyword in this verse is " yogah karmasu kausalam” "yogah karmasu kausalam.” See again and again I do this pronunciation mistake – kauchalam. It is not kauchalam. It is kaushalam. Let me tell you why I am doing this mistake again and again.

{06:42} When I was spending a time as a novice, Brahmachari in Ramakrishna mission, one day morning, I had the Darshan of Devi. Something like a 100 feet tall, huge form. And I literally felt that whole thing is sitting on my Sahasrara. It was an intense Bhaava Samadhi. I was believing that I cannot move my body now because 100 feet tall Devi is sitting on my head. It is not that the concept about my body has changed, the concept of my body was six feet, but the concept about the experience of Devi I was having was huge. So I was feeling that I cannot move my body now. I was just sitting, sitting, sitting. So naturally the news spread in 10 minutes. One told the other, other told other. That time fortunately the Vice President of Ramakrishna mission Swamy Ranganathananda was staying there in Mylapore Ramakrishna mutt. He is a great Sadhu. See being a great Sadhu is also not a joke. He is a great Sadhu. Morning he will wake up and his routine was so perfect. He lived above 90. I think 96 or something he live. But at that time he was not that old. He just passed away only 2, 3 years before. Even at the age of 90, he will get up, go for his walk, go to the temple morning and sit in whatever you may call it -visualization, or meditation or japa. He will sit like a statue. A powerful Tapasvi.

{09:42} So actually I was sitting in a room which is on the way to that temple. Because he was going to the temple, one Swami who was sitting outside the room told- Maharaj, koka has gone mad! Koka was my nickname. In Bengali he said “Koka paagal hoiche.” Maharaj - Maharaj is the word used for great Sadhus like Peetadhishwara or head of the mutts. They don’t use the word Peetadhishwara. They use the word President. The revered Sadhus are called as Maharaj. So that Sadhu was shouting in high pitch voice – Maharaj! Koka paagal hoiche! And I could here what he was telling. This Sadhu is standing outside the room and he is shouting Koka paagal hoiche. Maharaj – Maharaj is a word used for great Sadhus like head of the mutts, peetadhishwara. They don’t use the word Peetadheeshwari, they used the word President. For revered people they use the word Maharaj. He shouted – Maharaj Koka paagal hoiche! Koka has gone mad. And I was with open eyes. See it is like a certain concept I was feeling very strongly is real means that huge 100 feet Devi was sitting in my Sahasrara. So I was strongly believing I can’t move my body. So I was just sitting in that bhaava samadhi. But I was not with closed eyes or I was not unconscious towards the outer world incidents, outer world happenings, I was conscious. My eyes were also open. I wanted to tell – no, no, I am not paagal. I have not become mad. But I could not tell. I was just sitting.

{11:39} Then that Swami Ranganathanandaji he did not enter the room. He just opened the door and looked in to see whether I am doing some mad things. Because in that Ramakrishna mission really people used to go mad. They have a batch of mad Sadhus who became mad, screw lose for some reason. They have a separate place, separate quarters also for those Swamis. But of course, I was only Brahmachari so if I become mad, they will send me out. Only the Sadhus are allowed to become mad ☺ Swamis are allowed to become mad ☺ I was only a Brahmachari. I am not allowed to become mad. If I become mad, then I have to leave the order. So I was just looking and I could not tell I am not mad. I was just sitting and in front of me all the puja items, little rice and little one coconut, kumkum, turmeric and all that is there. Somehow it is so unfortunate in Ramakrishna mission the kumkum turmeric means they think it is tantric rituals. They are so Vedantic the South Bharatn Aagama is never part of them. So when they see this coconut, rice, turmeric powder, Kumkum and all that I thought oh God! Now these guys are going to cook up their own stories. Anyhow, he is a very balanced sadhu, very great sadhu. Very great Sadhu. Fortunately he is also South Bharatn. He is from Kerala – Malayali.

{13:35 } So he opened the door and looked inside. And he looked at the other sadhu and aiy, what, he is not mad. He is just sitting silently. That’s all. He has not broken any things. I used to keep my room very neat and clean. There are not much things. Few things I used to have very neat and clean. I am a big washing maniac. I will take bath and go on washing my clothes. And my roommate another one Bramhachari he is the dirty pig! And his side he saw completely dirty and that fellow is sleeping in the blanket and slowly he was seeing - who is coming and opening the door and I was just sitting and with the face in a big smile and all these things are in front of me. He looked straight into my eyes and said that Sadhu our Ranganathanandaji – Swamiji asked – what? Ki? Kamanochi? - In Bengali it means how are you? I could not answer, I said Bhaava Samadhi, Bhaava Samadhi! Even now I remember Bhaava Samadhi, Bhaava Samadhi. He just spat on the wall, door – “Yogaha karmasu kauchalam!” It was such a strong shock for me! I can say liberation for me! He is from Kerala. So the pronunciation he said – kauchalam. Instead of kaushalam he said Kauchalam. He insisted Kauchalam for Kaushalam. It was a shock for me. In that moment all that Darshan went away, everything became alright. I can say it was a powerful initiation leading me to the next level.

{16:13} Please understand, emotion solidified is Bhaava Samadhi. When that solidified emotion becomes one with your consciousness it is perfection in your action! It was such a strong hit on me! All that Darshan everything went away. That 100 feet tall Devi sitting Sahasrara dala pankaje - the Sahasrara dala thousand petal lotus, Devi was sitting in all her glory. Everything went away! I did not feel I lost something. I felt very clearly, what was outside of me, has become part of me! And he uttered only this one word – “Yogaha karmasu kauchalam!” And just walked up and went to the temple. The temple is in the first floor. He just walked up and went to the temple. That’s all. Gup – I got up. I was supposed to give Arghya for him. See in Ramakrishna mission they have a tradition - everyday morning all the senior Sadhus will come and offer arghya to Sri Ramakrishna. So I was supposed to prepare the Arghya. Arghya means the bhel leaf, applying the red sandal, yellow sandal with little rice and one dhruva grass. Dhruva means not durbha, the dhruva grass and with one flower – these five items are called Arghya. I was supposed to prepare Arghya for him. I ran with such speed, before he could come to the Garbha mandir, there is a bedroom of Sri Ramakrishna. He will usually go there and do Namaskar and come to the Garbha mandir to do the namaskar. Before he finished that Namaskar and came to the Garbha mandir, I prepared the Arghya and I was keeping it ready! The way I heard from him that initiation – “Yogaha karmasu Kachalam” – it’s recorded into my system. Still how many times I try I go on making the spelling mistake. I can say this spelling mistake is my respectful remembrance of his initiation for me, his grace on me! One word - Yoga is efficiency in action. Yoga is Perfection in action! “Yogaha Karmasu Kauchalam.”

{19:48} Yoga is not being lost in some whims and fancies, some emotional foolishness! Understand, this word, Yoga is efficiency in action is more powerful than any Bhaava Samadhi, any high Samadhi. Bhaava Samadhi is one of the high level Samadhis. This word Yoga is efficiency in action. Then understand the sacredness of this verse. The amount of energy and intelligence you need to put to experience the truth in this verse – “yogaha karmasu kauchalam”

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha ubhe sukrta-duskrte tasmad yogaya yujyasva yogah karmasu kausalam”

This Swami is well known Karma Yoga, supposed to be a well known Karma Yogi, great Vedanti. Let me explain exactly what is Karmasu Kauchalam.

{21:47} Please understand, the solidified emotion – it may be maatru bhaava or sakha bhaava or dasa bhaava, vaatsalya bhaava or Mathura bhaava or Maha bhaava – the solidified emotion is Bhaava Samadhi. But when that solidified emotion is no more separate from you, becomes part of your very existence – consciousness, that is what I call karmasu kauchalam.

{22:55} See what is solidified emotion? if you are in bhaava samadhi means you will see everything as Devi.If you are in bhaava samadhi with Krishna, you will see everything as Krishna. So much of sweetness will be there by the remembrance of Krishna. When that sweetness becomes part of your action without even remembering Krishna just by your action if you are going through that same intense sweetness, that is what is called – “Karmasu Kauchalam” – “efficiency in action!” Efficiency in action means never being tired of action! Any action which makes you tired, will make you old! Will bring you disease. Your action when it does not make you tired, when it goes on inspiring you for more and more and more, then you reach the space Yogaha Karmasu Kauchalam. I have decided I will continue to make this spelling mistake. I am not going to pronounce this as Kaushalam. I will call it as Kaushalam only in my own accent. This is the way I will remember his powerful initiation. That word has hit me like anything. Unfortunately, If I did not have that initiation at that moment. Of course, always divine supports you brings you the proper intelligence at proper time. If I did not have would not have had that initiation, I would have just been sitting in my bhaava samadhi what is called the solidified emotion.

{25:26} The big problem with the solidified emotion is you can spend any number of years with it and finally you can lose it also. You will not go forward. But once the Yogaha Karmasu Kauchalam that happens, it becomes Sahaja samadhi! That is why I always tell people who show this big big jil jil emotions – oooh!! I am devoted to you, you are my life. Unless you show efficiency in action, perfection in action, the emotion you are going through, the bhaava samadhi you are going through, will not become part of you. bhaava samadhi you go through will become part of you, only when you take responsibility. Only when you bring perfection in action! Joy in action! Early morning when you get up and do all your actions, every joint should give you the feeling that you have been soaked in honey whole night. When you are running in your day to day routine, every strategy, planning, every thought, should give you the feeling you are filled in honey.

{27:29} If yogaha karmasu kauchalam, is not being practiced, I tell you all your emotion, bhaava samadhi, everything will disappear. The life of your Bhaava samadhi is only the life of cow dung nothing more. At least cow dung will be useful as a fuel. Your Bhaava Samadhi will not be useful for anything. Your solidified emotion should become part of your consciousness which makes all your actions joyful, inspiring, perfect! Yogaha Karmasu Kachalam! What an initiation! Even now I remember. I can now exactly remember that early morning, how I ran, crossing him in the steps because that initiation was so sharp, all my Bhaava Samadhi went away, the next thought was aiy then how can I be expressing perfection in action now? First thing now I have to prepare his Arghya. I tried my best to bring this habit of offering Arghya everyday morning to the presiding deity of the Sampradaya even to the Bramhacharis, devotes and Rishis in our order also but they all found it is too cheap a habit for their high state of spiritual realization ☺ they are in very high state. These small, small things are not required. So, 2-3 people, few chota-small level disciple practiced these habits. Then they also renounced. Of course high level Sadhus never practiced. They said – aiy, these are all for small people. Anyhow, I ran, you see preparing Arghya is not a joke. In Ramakrishna mission in the fridge they will keep the Dhruva and the Bhel leaf. So I will have to pick up the plastic bag and remove the bhel leaf and wipe it and pick up a Dhruva grass and wipe it. And there will be small two stones. The small piece of red sandal and white sandal. Both pieces will be there. And I finished grinding and wiped it on the leaf, picked up few rice and put it on it and put one flower and I was keeping it ready by the time he reached Garbha mandir. Hardly 120 second, two minute it will be. Actually the punch line is not over. After he took that arghya from me and offered, he looked at me and asked – what about yours? Because I was also supposed to offer. After he offers, I am supposed offer my arghya. I missed my arghya! ☺ He looked at me and asked where is your arghya?

{31:44 } I thought oh God! Now what he is doing he is Karmasu kashalam! I realized yes, this is karmasu kaushalam. He just gave a one strong word, with that one strong word, I ran, prepared the whole Arghyam, keeping it ready. But he is not satisfied with it. He is looking at the end. He is not going to stop with feeling Oh! Within two minute this fellow ran and prepared my Arghya. No. He is very, he finished offering his Arghya, then turned what about yours? Because I was about to feel, I am, I have done now Yogaha Karmasu kauchalam. ☺ Now I brought efficiency in action! I thought he may not appreciate Because he is the guy who will appreciate. The non-appreciation, habit of non-appreciation I learnt from him only! ☺ He is not the guy who will appreciate. I thought at least he will not tell anything. He will just keep quiet and walk out. That is the greatest appreciation you can get from him. If he has not found any fault and if he has not told anything and left, then you can be sure you are in Yogaha Karamasu Kauchalam. I thought at least he will leave keeping quiet. He looked and said – what about yours? I said - Maharaj, I will bring it, you please walk!

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha ubhe sukrta-duskrte tasmad yogaya yujyasva yogah karmasu kausalam”

{34:21}I can say this sloka is definition of Jeevanmukti! Definition of Living Enlightenment!

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha”- Established in shining clarity. If you had a complete fulfilling, satisfied sleep and wake up morning does not have worries and stress, if you can look at the world with clean eyes, that is what I call that moment endowed or filled with clarity! Here Bhagavan is saying

“buddhi-yukto jahatiha” - Established in knowledge. It means the mind with which you are taking cognizance. Your cognition process should be established on this ultimate truth of life and death! That is what I will call as "buddhi-yukto jahatiha.”

{36:07} Just yesterday I sat and did a home work to remove confusion for all of you, now I am going to define exactly 100 descriptive points of Vedic Tradition. In next few days I will start. See if you know this 100 points, truths very clearly, you are established in “buddhi yukto.” You are a "buddhi-yukto jahatiha.” You are established in Buddhi. Like what is God? what is self? What is Deity? What is karma? what is birth? what is death? What is reincarnation? What is Guru? What is enlightenment? What is Yoga? What is meditation? What is Samyama? Like this 100 clear descriptive points I am going to present it very clearly to all of you. I already started the work with a clear Upanishadic references from the Vedic Tradtion. This 100 points will be very clear precise understanding of Vedic Tradition. Of course, Vedic Tradition is a vast ocean, this will be the butter churned out of that ocean.

{37:58} If your cognition is functioning from this 100 truths, if you are taking cognizance of all, when I say all, I mean all – based on this 100 truths, you are established in “buddhi yukto jahatiha.” It is like a straight path to enlightenment. If you are making all your decisions based on this truths, that’s all. You are Living Enlightenment. I am reducing enlightenment to 100 pills. Take each pill a day and put your head in the pillow. That’s it! By the time you are established in this 100 truths, you are buddhi yukto! Because Vedic tradition is so vast. I also continue to represent that vastness. Because I represent vastness even close disciples who lived around me for years are not able to define exactly what is Vedic Tradition? What we are really teaching? Ask anybody around me who is living around me for so many years to describe me. Oh you don’t know. You should come and see only then you can understand. Whatever I say, you can’t believe, it cannot be told. Is this a description? Who would like to sit and listen to you 3rd word or 4th word. They will say aiy, we are sick and tired of hearing about your Guru from you. Get out! You and your Vedic tradition. This is one of the major problem almost all our devotees and disciples are facing – unable to describe Vedic Tradition because it is too vast! Too too vast.

"buddhi-yukto jahatiha ubhe sukrta-duskrte tasmad yogaya yujyasva yogah karmasu kausalam”

Being established in knowledge, be unclutched from virtuous or evil deeds. Put your whole energy in just application. As I said yesterday – work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work! Because Yogaha Karmasu Kaushalam!

{41:50} I declare this statement – Yogaha Karmasu Kaushalam! As a statement for all our mission activities, service activities. This should be the vision statement – “Yogaha Karmasu Kaushalam!” In all our offices all over the world, all our mission offices should have this statement in a big way. Just like how our Anna mandirs should have –

“Annam brahmeti vyajanaat; Annam na nindyat tad vratam”

These two verses in Annalayas. Same way all our Karyalayas mission office should have this statement “Yogaha Karmasu Kaushalam!” as a mission statement. Please understand all our temples above the main deities the word – “Tatvamasi!” Should be engraved. In all our Anna Mandirs this two verses -

“Annam brahmeti vyajanaat; Annam na nindyat tad vratam”

These two. In all our karyalayas mission offices this is the vision statement for all our mission offices – Yogaha karmasu kaushalam! Yoga is perfection in action. Yoga is efficiency in action!

{44:22} All our temples should remind you – You are that! You are the ultimate sacred which you are trying to experience outside through this temple and deity! All our mission offices should have this statement – Yoga Karmasu Kauchalam! Yoga is efficiency in action! Understand, when you start experiencing or working towards this great truth – Yogaha Karmasu Kauchalam, suddenly every moment of your life will become sweet and joy! It should be! Efficiency brings so much of joy.

{45:47 } Understand creativity is Godliness! Efficiency is Vishnutva. Creativity is Brahmatva, effieciency is Vishnutva. Efficiency means Vishnutva. When Vishnutva expresses itself through you, you are Vishnu. You are Sarvavyaapi. Sesha Sayana Yoga Nidra Padmanabha Swami! You are Padmanabha! Efficiency in action whether it is morning Yoga, your physical work out or meditating, your mental work out, or sitting in unclutching – your conscious work out or doing your activity in your office mission work or spending time with your family enriching your relationships, whatever you may be doing – Yoga is efficiency in action. Bring perfection, bring efficiency in everything you are doing. Infuse efficiency in whatever you are doing. You are doing Yoga. You are in the ultimate state! Application is natural property of skillfulness!

{48:19}I will answer your questions related to this great truth – Yogaha Karamasu Kaushalam. I will attend your live questions. You can send questions from all over the world at this moment I will answer your questions related to this one truth – Yogaha Karmasu Kauchalam. I am going to speak on just this three word tomorrow also.

{48:58} First question – is from Prajith from Bangalore

1) Nithaynandma Swamiji , Thank you for that inspiring story. I have a doubt – Can Yogaha Karmasu Kaushalam needs be practiced or does it happen on its own?

Prajith! Don’t you see in that very story itself I was practicing! It has to be practiced and then the ultimate efficiency, perfection happens. Don’t be waiting for it to happen. It has to be practiced! Yogaha Karmasu Kaushala has to be practiced Good. You asked this question. Otherwise many of my ashramites will be thinking – oh! It will happen. Good you asked me this questions. Prajith, thanks for you on behalf of my ashramites! So I am making it very clear it has to be practiced in every step in every moment. Many devotees may be wondering. The other day I got an email. What is this constantly you are referring only your Ashramites and Brahmacharis and Brahmacharinis, your rishis? What to do? I am obsessed with them! Somehow, I have about I can make some of them enlightened. Still I have not given up my hope! That is why, I am constantly working on them! Ramakrishna says if I believe you are my disciple, that’s all relax, you are enlightened. Because I am going to constantly work for you, polishing you like a diamond is used to cut the diamond. Same way, somehow from the being I believe this Ashramites are my disciples. They have given up everything for enlightenment. So that is why I go on drilling them. Understand, Yogaha karmasu kaushalam has to be practiced! Next question.

2) Richa from Bangalore – Swamiji, can you please explain what you mean by efficiency?

{52:27} Richa, efficiency means efficiency! Efficiency means the action should have its effect on outer world and the inner world. it should be like a double edged sword. The action should be creating desired result outside and desired result inside. That is what I mean by the word efficiency! If I have to give an example, morning you get up and do Yoga. The action of doing Yoga, should create the desired result in the outer world means the body being healthy and same way it should create the desired result in the inner world creating a positive pattern or positive mental set up which is purpose of Yoga. So all action. Same way, if you are creating a relationship, it should create the friendly relationship and it should bring the happiness and fulfillment which you are supposed to have in your inner space through that relationship. So efficiency means the effect of the action in the outer world and in the inner world. Unfortunately, whole humanity is established in laziness. No I am telling you the truth. Now I can see how many people around me and around the world are established in laziness! Yawning! In so many ways I think they are showing their efficiency ☺ By sitting in Satsang, 2 things need to be achieved – one – you need to sit in such a comfortable position in the outer world. Another you are supposed to be in a state which nowhere nobody disturbs. No words are touching you, nothing touches you – you are beautiful peaceful awareness. What you call as your own Sahaja Samadhi. Being established in laziness! Break from that! In every action that is what I call efficiency. About this laziness a small story –

One morning a mother was trying to wake up her son – wake up now! It is time to go to school. The son replied I don’t want to go to school. His mother asked. Give me two reasons why you don’t want to go to school? Okay he said. One – all the children hate me, two – all the teachers hate me. Mother said not good enough. This cannot be the reason. Fine the son asked. You give me two reason why I should go to school? The mother said – One – you are 50 years old, second – you are the principal of the school! ☺

Understand ☺ whether it is a student or a principal, nobody wants to go to school! Everybody is established in laziness. Break free from the laziness. I can give you one more example. Whole day you would have been working. Night around 11 o clock. Last one hour work is remaining. You pamper yourself saying – oh too much! I had a long day, tomorrow I will work and that laziness will cover your body like a blanket and you will slowly feel cozy with that laziness and your stamina, mental stamina will let go and you are out. Break that cold cozy blanket laziness at that moment. Just get up run to the bathroom, stand under the cold shower, come back, complete that work and then rest. This is what I call efficiency. Breaking the blanket of laziness whenever it surrounds you, whenever you pamper yourself, whenever you think you have done too much. Breaking the laziness blanket which is covering you slowly is efficiency!

Next question.

3) The next question is from Akshay Shukla – Isn’t perfection measured by the result of the action. Doesn’t make us focus on the result?

{59: 10} Ajay Shukla, Perfection is not measured by the result of the action, it is measured by the way you are acting. Understand, the quality of the action, not the quantity of the action. Not the quantity which happens because of your action, but the quality of your action. Only when the quality is not there, you will have time to measure the quantity of the action. So perfection is not measured by the result of the action, it is measured by the quality of the action. But I tell you when the quality is there the quantity also will follow even though you don’t bother about it. It is like you walk without bothering about the shadow, but the shadow follows you. Same way, in the quality, in the Kaushalam, in the efficiency, you walk and it follows – the quantity also follows you.

Next.

4) Anusha from Washington- Nithayanndam Swamiji! You have said that the ultimate happens when you move away from good as well as bad deeds. But isn’t efficiency a good deed?

{1:00:57} Efficiency is not a good deed Anusha, efficeincy is a good mental set up. It is not a good deed, it is a good mental pattern. Efficiency is not a good deed, efficiency is a good pattern. So don’t worry about it, move to the good pattern. When I say goo pattern I can say beyond the good and bad actions.

5) Ananda Andal from Toronto – Pranam Swamiji! Can you explain the difference between perfection and perfectionism.

{01:01:52} Perfection is you training yourself to be perfect. Perfectionism is you torturing others to be perfect! ☺ Understand, perfection is you training yourself, you doing the tapas to make yourself perfect. Perfectionism is you torturing others to be perfect. I think I made it very clear.

Next ☺

6) From Radha from Bangalore – if efficiency means producing desired result inside and outside, doesn’t that mean that we will be carrying the desire for the results?

{01:03:05} No. Understand, see when you start acting, you will understand how the very concept of desire, your very fear that you may not be able to drop desire will disappear. See it is like I have seen people in the initial level. People who have been growing with deities by worship by everyday puja, many of them will be afraid to come to the meditation because they feel oh! I may drop this worship, then what will happen? I may not feel this strong connection with the divine! But you don’t understand. Start. Start the inside relating with the divine. I don’t want to say you will not drop the deities. Even if you drop, you will not miss it….you will be beyond it. Same way, now the desire is your deity with which you grew. Now you are afraid the fear that you may drop this deities, this desires. Enter into the zone of efficiency. Yogaha karmasu kaushalam suddenly you will see your desires and the fear you may not be able to drop your desires, you may have to struggle with your desires both will drop. Both will automatically be dropped. You will have result more than you desired. Next.

7) Next question is from Swaminathan from Mumbai – If one has an intense longing for the divine but without doing any corresponding action won’t the longing itself draw the divine grace and enlightenment to oneself?

{01:05:46} If you have a strong longing for Rasagulla and you go on sitting, I tell you even if you tell 2-3 people, I have a strong longing for rasagulla but I am not going to do anything, they may see your longing and they may bring that Rasagulla to you. Understand here, you are not doing anything but you are doing something. Same way if you just sit with intense longing for the divine, all the Gods in the heaven cannot rest. Their lokas will start burning. Have you not heard in the stories some rishi or muni will be sitting and doing tapas and the Deva loka was feeling the heat of it and they all run to Mahadeva in Kailasa and ask him – Bhagavan, Oh Shiva, run and give darshan to this muni or rishi or to this guy. We are being scorched, burnt by his tapas, please run. If you have an intense longing, which the people around you can smell, if you have that much which the people around you are feeling really, really really what can they do for you, you are having this intense longing, but you have done everything, you have nothing more to do – if you are able to create that feeling in you and all the people around you, I tell you the divine grace and enlightenment will be automatically attracted towards you. But one thing, you should have finished all possible actions. Don’t think without trying anything, just you can sit and jung, jung do bhajan that you have a intense longing and divine will rush for you! If you have a intense longing, first you will do everything possible. Then there will be a time you do not know what to do. You will not be able to do anything. At that moment, divine will be drawn automatically towards yourself. Understand, there is two space – the first space having hypocritical intense longing and not doing anything. 2nd space is having intense longing then whatever you can you will do, but now nothing more to do so not doing anything.

So understand, this intense longing for the divine if it really starts in you, you cannot be just keeping quiet doing any corresponding action. But the action alone will not get the enlightenment to you. At one spot, at one time, at one moment, all your actions will feel like fruitless where you will feel you are not able to do anything. You have become a pure longing without any action. At that moment enlightenment will be attracted towards you. So understand tamas, rajas, satva. Tamas means having a pseudo longing and not doing anything - never expect divine will be attracted towards you at that time – no, nothing will happen. Second – rajas – having longing and working. Third Satva – having pure longing but have not left anything undone, not left single stone unturned. Did everything and now only pure longing is there - at that moment enlightenment will be drawn towards yourself. You will achieve the divine grace. Next.

8) Padmaja new Jersey - How can one make effort in an effortless way?

{01:10:26} Padmaja! you don’t need to do it in effortless way, do effort I am very clear. Let the effortless way happen in you. First do Upassana, then let the Vipassana happen in you. Upassana means the worship -action based process. Vipassana means inaction based effortless awareness. Let you start with Upassana. Then Vipassana will happen. Don’t thing straight away Vipassana will land on your head. No. If you are straight away sitting for Vipassana you may be learning to sleep by sitting. Of course you master it within two years. That is the time it takes for my ashramites. By two years they master the process - they will even know when to smile, when not to smile, but they are asleep! The way Japanese sleep. The whole Japanese psyche is filled with this concept of Vipassana..That is there they learnt. Japenese can sleep with wide open eyes because of Vipassana. So don’t try to jump into the effortless way. Have effort first. Let there be pure effort automatically the effortlessness will be achieved.

9) Ravi from Vancouver Canada – Dear Swamiji, even with effort even the simple desires of my life are not being fulfilled. I feel am missing some point which you are making.

{01:12:48} Ravi - I feel you are missing all points which I am making. Not some points. Even if you catch one point, you will not have this problem. I think you need immediately our eNsuccess program. And you really need to know in which direction you need to evolve your effort, align your efforts. You need a serious thorough over oiling and overhauling. I don’t think I will be able to solve your problem just by answering your one questions. You may need to do at least our success and leadership program only then your very thinking need to be dismantled and assembled properly. The very way you are putting your efforts need to be overhauled and that is the only way I feel you can get out of this suffering, mental set up feeling of deep unfulfillment.

So now, one more questions from Padmini Meena Joshi from Washington DC Satsang Centre, Sudarshini from Dubai Satsang Centre. Dear Swamiji, What practices must I do to come out of my losu ways?

{01:14:35 } Dear devotees from all over the world! the one and only way, the one and only practice you must do to come out of all the losu ways is “Yogaha karmasu kaushalam” – bring efficiency in every action which is required to run your life – for your health, for your wealth, for your relationships, for your spiritual experiences, whatever sphere of life, whatever commitments you made in every sphere of your life, every dimension of your life, bring efficiency. For example, in the way of health bring efficiency in your Yoga, in the way of mental health, bring efficiency in the way you attend the Satsang and record your book of heart, when it comes to relationships, bring more friendliness in your relationships, when it comes to wealth, bring efficiency in your action and strategy planning. When it comes to the spiritual enlightenment, bring efficiency in the way you unclutch. That’s it.” Yogaha karmasu kaushalam!” Bring efficiency when you sleep in the night in your sleep. That’s it. These are the practices you should do to come out of your losu ways.

{01:16:28} So remember this one great truth all our devotees not only in our mission offices, even in your office that is also our mission office only. Your mission is my mission. Understand, when my mission is your mission, your mission is my mission! So in your mission office also, have this big board – “Yogaha karmasu kaushalam! - uttered by Bhagavan Sri Krishna, repeated by Paramahamsa Nithyananda!” Have it! Have this as my message. Let me see how efficient you are putting this board in your mission office. How efficiently it is going to happen putting this board in your mission office. This is the first action you are going to do showing your efficiency!

{01:17:56} So now sit with this one truth “Yogaha karmasu kaushalam” – let me see the efficiency you are going to show in your sitting with this truth – “Yogaha karmasu kaushalam!”
