Before entering into the Satsang, I wanted to offer our deep condolences to Nachiyappan of Kovilur matt, Kovilur adinam passed away yesterday night. He is one of our close assoicates and one adinam he is really person with a broad vision and he understands the critical turns Hinduism need to take in the modern world if it has to survive. His unique contribution to Hinduism is he brought the modern understanding and outlook to the traditional arts and sciences related to temple. He brought the he brought respect for sacred arts the temple building science. Unfortunately, he left his body yesterday night. He was very close to us and our Brahmacharis used to tease me he must be above 90. But he was so much in love with me. In every public meeting, he will not even feel little shy ☺ in every public meeting the first thing he will tell see how beautiful Swamiji is ☺ He was such an innocent, wonderful, beautiful being. We really miss him! Tremendous friendliness and even during this scandal and rumors, he personally called me at least 10 times and said these are all nothing Swamiji. You will come out of this like anything. When you come out, he was telling when you come out world will shiver in front of you. So he is a man of understanding. Even though his second level people and his close people were all too hypocritical orthodox fellows not real orthodox, hypocritical. He is a man who stood strongly with the clarity. Some of his, his peeta is actually community mutt. Belongs to community. Some of the people who were with him were against me and the way we work. They all tried their best to stop him coming to our Ashram regularly. He had his center here, branch I can say. He had his office here in our Ashram. In our campus. They tried their best to stop him coming here. But he will never miss a chance! At least once a month he will be here. He will be here and he says this is my home. When I come here, I feel the energy and presence of Swamiji and has tremendous respect. You don’t know that assistant fellows they are so disrespectful to him, they even stopped accompanying him whenever he wants to come to Bidadi. But all alone 90 year old man will come by flight and get the taxi and come here. Stay for 3 days. All alone without any assistant. I used to be little afraid because he is a old man he should not die here. Then his disciples may create a story that I did not take care, we did not take care of him. So I used to always be afraid and I will always inform their people whenever Swamiji comes at least some one of you be here with him. We will take care. But we wanted some witness that we took care of him. So he is a but he never bothered. A man who lives his ideology. All his personal wealth he donated to mutt, become a peetadhipati. A evolved Sadhu. A highly evolved Sadhu. Matured Sadhu. He was a photographer in New York. He was one of the top ten photographers in the US. For quite a long time he was working in that profession. He left that job and donated all that money to Kovilur mutt and become a big peetadhipati. It is he who brought life to Kovilur mutt. Till then it was a dead institution. He brought life to Kovilur mutt. It is so unfortunate. He left the body, left the mission he started without completing it. All his assistants were afraid he may leave the responsibility of that mutt to me. Of course, I said very clearly from the beginning – Swamiji, it is a community mutt. Only your community person can handle, only he has to be running it. But his assistants were afraid. He will always be here for all our programs. For all our programs he will always be here. He is a great Sadhu. Maybe you can show the picture.

All of you would have seen. We remember him and offer our respects to him. Pray to the almighty, pray to the cosmos he rests in peace. He will always tell me – Oh I will not fall sick and all Swamiji, I will just die. It just happened! He was not feeling well little. For one day or two days. I don’t know what kind of care they gave, he just left the body yesterday night. A joyful person. I have never seen a old man so joyful with so much of responsibility. He was such a joyful person! Always enjoyed our hospitality. We really miss him. Really miss him! Dhyanapeetam and me officially offer our condolences to Kovilur Matadhipati Srila Sri Nachiappan … Let his soul rest in peace!

{11:00} Let’s enter into today’s Bhagavad Gita, today’s Satsang. Today I will speak on Bhagavad Gita, 2nd chapter Sankhya Yoga 32nd verse –

“

The translation – “Oh Partha! Joyful are the warriors who have obtained by chance a battle such as this which has opened the door to heaven.”

“Partha! Happy indeed are the Kshatriyas, warriors who are called to fight in such a battle without seeking. This opens for them the door to heaven!”

{13:03} Two key points – the war was not the option, choice by Arjuna because it was forced on them. They were ready to settle just for five house. Not even five village or five street – five house. But Duryodhana was not interested. First thing war was forced on them. Second, the word, this word should be understood – which has opened the door to heaven. I wanted you to understand this word in a deeper way. Normally traditionally they interpret something like Veera Svarga means if somebody dies in the war and he reaches heaven. No. I do not want to attest that concept. I do not want to support it. Here I am going to give the true understanding of this line which Bhagavan says – “which has opened the door to heaven.” This war has opened the door to heaven. Let me describe clearly. Let me give you word by word translation. Then I will

{14:42} Svarga dvaram apavrittam – wide open. This is the key word I wanted to interpret. I wanted all of you to understand …repeats…please understand Heaven is nothing but living your bio memory, living your conscious pattern. Please understand, patterns forced on you, imposed on you by society, parents, religion, relatives, friends is different. The pattern you love, you cherish, you enjoy. you assume is different. I have seen when I ask this fellows to go for a walk morning jogging, or do some work out they don’t do. But when they find time, they climb the hill and they go to gym and work out. It means what? The pattern given from outside always people resist. When the pattern comes from inside, you feel fulfilled. Living the conscious pattern. I can give thousands of examples. I have given one small example. Thousands of examples. Man who lives his pattern conscious pattern I wanted to use the right word.

{16:50} You have the pattern imposed on you by society, by different different elements which have vested interest on you, which have reason to exploit you – pattern given by them are really, will really be creating conflicts in you. But the conscious pattern with which you are comfortable, you are living, you are flowing, I can say that creates heaven. Arjuna suddenly says, I will leave everything and become a Sadhu. But his conscious pattern is not Sadhu pattern. His conscious pattern which he enjoyed throughout his life is a warrior pattern. This Sadhu pattern is forced on him by the society now. Because of the social situations, he wants a decent burial to his old pattern. He wants a decent burial for his problems. Please understand, there is no such thing as decent burial. Anything you try to bury always creeps up and says – aiy, I am here! There is no such thing called decent burial. You can’t bury anything. How much ever you try to bury anything decently, it will be there like a peeping tom – I am here! Even if you bury in all sides, he will peep up, he will pop up from your heart in the form of guilt. He will pop up, open his eyes and say – come on, I am here!

{19:20} Arjuna was expecting a decent burial for his problem. He was using retirement becoming Sadhu as a technique. Vivekananda very beautifully says wherever this fellows non-working, non-doing using religion as a shield gathering and jumping and dancing, take a stick and beat them! That is the extreme he is going. He goes to extreme of saying in the North you will see many places, villages. This fellows will not do any work. They will not plough their land, do agriculture, do nothing. They will just gather in small small gatherings and sing Hare Rama, Hare Krishna, Govinda, Govinda! Singing and jumping. It is not that they have devotion so they are practicing. They just want to escape. But where will they get food? Always in the Bhajan mandalis they will get a good free food. They are there for free food. Vivekananda says – don’t ever forgive them. Take a stick. Round the whole group and see that not a single fellow escapes and beat them! Even I was shocked how Vivekananda is giving such a strong instruction! Beat them! But I feel these fellows, this non-doers using the religion to give a decent burial to their life style of non-doing is a crime! All over the world, millions do it! millions use the religion as the shield for their non-doing. They have references in every religion. They will pick up some word. From Vedas they will pick up, from Bible they will pick up, from Quran they will pick up, from Buddha they will pick up, from Mahadeva they will pick up. They are so intelligent. They are more intelligent than any other incarnation! So any incarnation’s word they can take it and make their own interpretation. It is called lazy bum vaartika, lazy bum bhaashya – bhaashya written by the lazy bums!

{21:59} For any scripture they will write a bhaashya! See each book will have its own bhaashya – Shankara bhaashya, Ramanuja bhaashya – different bhaashyas. Like that these fellows also have their own bhaashyas – lazy bum bhaashyas. They know how to twist all the statements of all the masters and make it into a lazy bum theology. They can go on talking, justifying why they are non-doers, why they don’t need their body, why they don’t create. I tell you heaven is flowing with your natural pattern and expanding.

{22:59} Here, Arjuna’s natural pattern is warrior. Let me tell you how to find out your natural pattern which makes you feel you are something more than what you are, adding to you. I have seen sometime when you take up some difficult project and complete it, when you bring it you feel – wow, I have done it! I did it! That feeling is heaven. The feeling of fulfillment which comes to you after tremendous creativity expressed through you by your natural law of expansion.

{23:49} Svadharma means natural law of expansion! By your natural law you expand. Arjuna’s svadharma is fighting. He is basically a warrior by nature. Even if he becomes a Sadhu, in the forest he will start fighting. He will create a hermit, the ashram for himself. Naturally he will see animal coming and he will start hunting them. Big animals will come. He will start hunting them. If the hunters come, naturally he will pick up a fight with them. He will say – aiy, how dare you! you did not even bend your head and bow down to me. Do you know who am I? Because by nature he is a warrior. This fool has picked up a battle with Maha Deva, Shiva himself not for anything big – ordinary pig! No really.

{25:19} Once this fellow was hunting a pig not for eating. Just because it is coming on the way. Casually. And another one hunter was there and he also sent a arrow. First the Arjuna’s arrow went and hit the pig but it did not die. But this hunter’s arrow went and hit that pig and the pig died. So now the hunter, for hunter after all the pig is food. So he is taking the pig. This fellow Arjuna says – aiy, I don’t need the pig but know it, it is mine. I killed it. My arrow went and hit it first. So I am giving it to you as a gift. Naturally that fellow got angry – aiy! Who are you to give a gift? It is my arrow that killed the pig. Its mine. After all this fellow doesn’t want it. Why can’t you keep your mouth shut and carry on with your life? He killed it and somebody is enjoying it which you are not going to enjoy. But by nature this fellow is a warrior. He says no, come on, let’s fight and settle. For a dead pig, this fellow want someone to die among them! See understand, a Brahmana will never do this! A Brahmana will say – its okay. Whether its mine or yours. You take it. That’s all. He will go peacefully. But Arjuna is not that type. Then the hunter says – come on, let’s see. And this fellow says you don’t know I am Arjuna. Then the hunter teases him – aaah! That fellow who lives as homosexual once in 12 years, oh you are that Arjuna! Because Arjuna got the curse by Urvasi. Urvasi was mesmerized by Arjuna. She was lost in Arjuna and she was in love with Arjuna and she invited him for some reason. The reason is the in a way Urvasi becomes the step mother for Arjuna because Indra is the Arjuna’s father. Urvasi is Indra’s dancer girl. So Arjuna says – aiy, you are my step mother! But Urvasi curses how I am in love with you but you are not accepting my love, you will become a woman and fall in love with somebody and that person will not accept your love. You will suffer the same heat which I am going through. She curses. From that curse, every once in a 12 years, this fellow will become a female and experience as strong urge of homosexuality and fall in love with some men and get beaten! Or get disturbed ☺ anyhow, I don’t want to get into the more story.

{28:51} So this hunter also teases him left and right. Then now the Arjuna also is in full form – come on, let me see! After the fight, finally the hunter wins the game. Arjuna could not understand – how some hunter can win? Then hunter appears as Shiva. It is Shiva himself, Mahadeva himself who came as a hunter to check the abilities and qualifications of Arjuna. Then Mahadeva gives his own bow – Pasupata and Siva Dhanush. Pasupatastra and Shiva Dhanush. Anyhow the story very clearly says the basic temperament of Arjuna is fighting. And this fellow went to forest to meditate only. But there with an ordinary pig he got into fight with Mahadeva! So this fellow again goes as a Sadhu, what he will do? He will pick up fight with somebody else! He will only create hell for himself and for others.

{30:02} That is why Krishna very clearly says – aiy, live your svadharma, live your strong bio memory. Flowing with the natural law of expansion is heaven! Conflict free, natural flow of expansion. I can say this Swamiji, this Kovilur Swami was in that mood. He was in heaven with himself. He had so much of wealth but he was just living with himself. Flowing with your natural law of expansion, flowing with the flow of your conscious pattern which you picked up is life! That is heaven. I will expand on this truths in further Satsangs. Maybe today I may have to rush to offer our respects to the Kovilur Swamiji. First we will have to find out where his body is and his assistants so unfortunate. They did not even inform us. Yesterday night he passed away. I got the news only from the public media. Now we will have to, I will have to arrange and either send somebody or I myself have to rush to offer our respects. And moreover, he is such a great, nice person. It is unfortunate he has this kind of assistants. But that does not mean he should not have my last respects. I am going to ensure in some way we pay our last respects and tributes to him. So I have to rush now to do that. But tomorrow we will have Satsang. Tomorrow morning Satsang I will be doing. We will have morning Satsang.

{33:04} As it is Navarathri, the prana pratishta is done yesterday for the Durga. I have to be here every day for the naivedyam and aarthi. So tomorrow morning there will be Satsang. Don’t miss tomorrow morning Satsang. I will be here to do the Satsang. But now I will rush and finish my responsibility for him. My last rites which I wanted to give for him. He is such a beautiful being. To spend time like a child such a joyful person. How much ever his croocked disciples. You can’t even call them as disciples. Croocked administrators he has a unfortunately, it is a community mutt so some of the administrators who are fixed such a croocked fellows. How much ever they try to keep this Swamiji away from us, he was very clear – you guys don’t know he is future of Hinduism! That is the very word he will use. He will always tell Nithyananda is future of Hinduism! And he had so much trust on me and our mission. He is the first peetadhipati who gave the samaasana – equal seat for me even during the controversial times. And always, he will attend our programs, functions. Never miss a chance to be here with us. In all meetings, openly he will express. I will feel little shy. Look at him. I am now seeing him in the side angle. What a beautiful person he is! And our Brahmacharis and Brahmacharinis will laugh like anything! They will tease him. Even in front of him, they will tease him. But he will always such an innocent, nice person. All his whoever comes to him for any spiritual counseling or healing he will tell them – aiy, go to Nithyananda Swami, go to Nithyananda Swami! I myself go there and re-charge me and come. See the relationship with him and me was not ordinary social one peetadhipati to another peetadhipati. It was more a spiritual. He had the tremendous respect for my spiritual achievements. And he will sit and listen. He will ask me. He will personally ask me – Swamiji, what do you think about this Vedanta truth? All critical deep subtle truths he will ask me. What is your experience Swamiji? When I describe my experience he will say – Oh okay, I understand. You are a experienced person. Only experienced person can clarify all this deeper level truths.

{36:57} And the way he will talk about me all his administrators will boil - this Swamiji is promoting Nithyananda left and right. They used to tell him don’t go to the Nithyananda, don’t promote Nithyananda. They were afraid. But he said very clearly – aiy, get lost. He is the future of Hinduism! If we associate with him, we will have the pride. So one traditional Peetadhipati with the modern outlook and dogmatic vision and felt for the future of Hinduism. It is very honoring. I am ending my Satsang today to pay my respects to him and I will continue on this verses by tomorrow. If I rush now, I may finish all the last rites which I may have to offer, respects which I may have to offer for him. Come back. And I assure tomorrow you will have Satsang. If I am not able to, If I feel I will not be able to come back by tomorrow, I will send somebody else at least. But let me finish all the responsibilities. he was like a grandfather for our whole organization. Such a loving person he will catch all our Brahmacharinis and ask them to sing. He will catch all our Brahmacharis and ask them to sing and cook for him. All our Brahmacharinis singers are his favorites. He will call and tell them – that girl, her song melts my heart. Such an innocent person, such an amazing person. First Peetadhipati who stood by us during the scandal and rumors. During the scandal and rumors when he called me, he said I want to talk to Ranjitha and tell her stand by Swamiji. He is your Guru. Don’t bother about all these things. He is one guy. See all Peetadhipatis they spoke to me but nobody bothered about her and her suffering. He is the one not only felt what was done to me is wrong, he felt what was done to her is also wrong. He said I want to talk to her. Of course, that time we did not have her contact number and address and we could not reach her and he was not able to reach. But he is the one who is so sensitive to everybody’s suffering. I was really surprised how he felt not only for me, the sufferings, the injustice done to me. He felt for the injustice done to her also.

{40:10} He was so beautiful being. Beautiful being. So we offer our deep condolences and respects to him. He was always encouraging and promoting relationship among the different mutts, different sampradayas. Still I remember one day we were sitting in the A3 – his apartment in our campus. He has an apartment in our Ashram and he has his office here. We were sitting and talking. Suddenly he said Swamiji I wanted to ask something personally. There was one Bramhachari who was taking care of him and I told him to leave and he asked me some very deep truths about the Sakta tradition, the Devi tradition and then finally everything boiled down to one particular mantra. Not Shodasi another one mantra. He is basically Devi worshipper. Their Peeta belongs to Devi – Nellaiamman – the Devi name is. She is the lord of the Peeta. So he asked me about certain syllable. I said Swamiji usually that is given by the Guru to disciple. You are asking. He immediately got up and said I will sit on the ground and you teach me! I said – no, no, no, no, no Swamiji you should not. See a person does not have any ego that he is a Peetadhipati ready to become anybody’s disciple for learning! I am not telling about my greatness by this incident. Please understand. Don’t mistake. I am telling about his greatness through this incident. Then I told him – no, no, no Swamiji you sit on the sofa. Then I told him about the, I gave the, I offered that syllable, I gave that mantra, I expressed that sound and gave the mantra. I described the technique. Then as per the tradition, he picked up some fruit and coin and kept in the beetle leaf and gave it to me and asked me – Swamiji, give me something. Then I gave the spatika, spatika strung in the gold which I was wearing to him. He said I will wear this forever and till the last day he was wearing. Even now he was wearing!

{43:45} Its strung in the gold spatika, big spatika strung with the gold. And I said Swamiji it will be too heavy for you. He said – no, I will wear. That is the only thing he was wearing on his body without removing. I don’t know now whether the disciples are going to whether his administrators are going to leave that in his body and do Jeeva samadhi, do samadhi or remove. I don’t know about it. But person who knows, who can identify the spiritual depth of people. He will tell even to all his administrators openly – aiy, we can only create body. Only Swamiji can put life into it! See he has a huge sacred arts unit where the temple statue making, granite, stone, chariots all that. They make all that. He took me around. We have a video recording. He took me around that whole unit and showed me and then he told his disciples, his administrators – we can make only body, stone, idol. Only Swamiji can make that as God, deity! Such a respectful person. anyhow, if I sit, I will go on be talking about him. Let me go an offer my respects to him.
