Let us enter into today’s Satsang.

I will expand on Bhagavad Gita 2nd chapter Sankhya Yoga, 33rd verse

“atha cet tvam imam dharmyam sangramam na karisyasi tatah sva-dharmam kirtim ca hitva papam avapsyasi”

From tomorrow all the ashramites will chant the BG in the regular chanting tune. So that all of you will learn the chanting.

The translation – “If you will not fight this righteous war then you will incur sin having abandoned your own duty and you will lose your reputation. On the other hand if you do not engage in this righteous war having abandoned your own natural expansion you will gain guilt, gain sin”

Now Bhagavan is coming down to Arjuna’s level. See Bhagavan is not leaving a single stone unturned. First he spoke in the highest spectrum of consciousness, then in the level of bio memory then in the muscle memory, finally he is coming to the level of engram. Even in the engram level this war is the right thing for you to do. He comes to the level of engram and says – literally Bhagavan is playing with the fear and greed of Arjuna. I tell you for an incarnation to come down to this level - it is a tremendous compassion. Ordinary idiots, fools, donkeys will think how can Bhagavan Krishna come down to the level of fear & greed and threaten Arjuna? Understand, when a incarnation showers love or shakes you with fear by his tremendous compassion. He comes down to the language you talk. It is like one day I go to Gurukul, and all the kids are sitting and fighting to share some candy, I also sit with them and have the same fight. I tell them – “aiy, I am God, give me little. Only then you will have punya. If you eat without giving me you will have papa.” An onlooker donkey will write in the reminiscence I saw Swamiji threatening kids, frightening them and taking away the chocolate by exploiting them. Only an insider knows with what tremendous compassion he goes there and sits. Even in the play of taking candy he teaches them the great truth I am incarnation! A normal man can never grasp, foolish logic can never grasp. You can exploit and abuse this whole verse, this whole situation saying – Krishna exploiting Arjuna threatening him saying – aiy do this war, otherwise you will incur sin and poor Arjuna fought. No. if you see every time how Krishna protected Arjuna, every time how Krishna stood by Arjuna, you will see very clearly Arjuna is not needed for Krishna’s mission. Krishna’s mission is all about having this war and killing all these fellows and reducing the population, negativity on planet earth. he does not need Arjuna. All my requirement is only candy. I don’t need to walk up to the Gurukul. I will get it here. Only ashramites insiders know it is me who sent the candy there. It is Arjuna’s fortune, Krishna’s compassion, he comes down even to the level of ordinary fear and greed. I tell you I will never do this. I will talk from the angle of enlightenment. If somebody wants to leave and wants to go and do something on their own and doesn’t want to be with me at the most I will tell – aiy! It is all about enlightenment. If you are around me, I can support, otherwise it is okay my blessings, wherever you are my presence will be there and with my presence learn to grow. My blessings do what you want. Understand you think - oh it is just love and compassion. It is just escapism. I escaped from cunning fellows. Only when you look at from this angle you will understand the compassion of Krishna. He holds the hand, goes to the lowest level of Arjuna and says aiy! You will go to hell, do what I am saying. I will never do it because I maintain my status, I maintain my distance, I maintain my spectrum. Because if I come down and say – aiy! You don’t do this and leave, if you go outside you are going to get into depression, you are going to have accident. He is going to that is different. But I can’t afford to tell this because it is lowering my status. Krishna is also in the same trouble. But see his compassion. The ability to come down. I tell you for an ordinary man, his greatness is based on how big he raises himself, poses himself. For an incarnation, his greatness is measured how low he can come down. Krishna is the first master who went to the extreme the lowest valley to express the love or fear. I tell you that is why he is Poornavatara. He is a perfect incarnation. He is a complete incarnation. Rama would have maintained his grace. See when the Ravana was standing without any weapon, see the grace Rama behaves – go today, come back tomorrow with weapon. But here Krishna - that poor Karna is not having any weapon, lifting the chariot wheel he is stuck in the slush, goes to Arjuna and says – come on, shoot. Finish this man! I tell you for a common man it looks like aiy what a cheap level, what a low level. But only an insider knows Ravana’s story is different, situation is different. Karna’s is different and not only that all the punyas of Karna was protecting him at that time. Any arrow Arjuna sends goes and falls on Karna as a garland. Then he goes to the next lowest level. He takes a different form, goes with a makeup of a Brahmin, begging – Karna, he is almost lying half dead. Goes and begs – Oh karna! I have come to beg, I heard you never refuse anything. Oh my unfortune! you have nothing to give, sorry I am going. He is exactly poking at Karna’s ego. Karna built his whole personality based on one statement - I will give at any time, anything, anybody wants! Karna comes back to life. It is like a when a snake is half dead, if we just put the stick on the neck of the snake, it will raise the tail almost equivalent to his height. Before death he will jump losing his last power and energy. Before going fuse the bulb will flash. So his ego comes out. How dare you tell that – ask what do you want. I will give. Then Krishna says now you don’t have anything. You have only all the punyas you earned by giving daana. Alright if you can give me that. Karna says take it, its yours! He did not have water to give daana. He just removes the arrow, his own heart blood he pours in the hand of Krishna and gives daana of all the punya he has done. I tell you the highest greatest happening happened on the planet earth is this scene. Greatest giver and greatest receiver. This receiver is not an ordinary man, he is not receiving for himself. He knows unless Karna comes out of all the good Karma he will not become enlightened. Krishna does not want Karna to be sitting in heaven. He wants Karna to be liberated. That is why when Vyasa describes each persons death, when it comes to Karna he says Karna Moksha. He does not say Karna vadha. Neither for Drona, nor for Bheeshma or for Duryodhana for nobody Vyasa uses the word moksha. Only for Karna Vyasa uses the word Karna moksha the chapter he calls as Karna moksha. Greatest giver, greatest receiver. Now when it is established Krishna is an incarnation all these are glorified, celebrated, enjoyed. But when he was in the body, even Arjuna would have suspected what a cheap level this Krishna can go, I should be careful with him. I tell you for whose sake Krishna did this even that guy in the corner of the mind would have thought - what a low cheap level this fellow can go. If he can go with this cheap level with Karna, then better let me be careful he can do this same to me also. Understand knowing this all is possible he comes down to that level. This is the greatest sacrifice. I tell you at least in all our charity, service, giving organizations this scene should be the emblem - Karna pouring his heart blood and offering the last thing which he has - all the punyas, merit to Krishna. Because the greatest giver and greatest receivers and greatest of the things which is given. In any daana never all this 3 are so perfect. Sometimes giver will be perfect, sometimes the receiver will be perfect. Sometimes the object given will be perfect. But here I can say all three are perfect! Giver Karna. Vyasa describes if somebody comes to him for any daana. If the person is standing near the left hand he will just give with left hand itself. Once a Brahmana came, Karna was applying oil in a golden cup. Oil was kept in a golden cup. He was applying oil for his head. The Brahmana was standing left side. He asked give me something. Immediately he gave the oil cup with left hand. The Brahmana said – oh King! You are supposed to give all the daana with left hand, why did you give with the left hand? Karna says before I move the right hand, my mind may change. I may think why such a big cup for him? This small poor Brahmana. For him some ten coins is enough. My mind may change. So the moment I feel like giving, I give it away, finish it! You can see in your life. In the spur of a moment you will feel – wow, I should give a million dollar to this temple. Then that night. Why million dollar, that temple is not that big. Half a million is enough. Next day no, no, no I heard some scandals about that Swami, half a million is too much. I think even if I give quarter million that is okay. By the time you write the check it will be $101 for Devi puja! And after that you will be asking will I receive the receipt and Prasad for this $101? That is what is mind! Karna is a giver of first order. Here Krishna receiver of the first order. I don’t remember any other time Krishna begged. What a giving! If a personality like Krishna asks, you can give anything!

What a mental set up of a giver and receiver! And see the gift. What a gift! All the punyas I earned by giving means the last block which is stopping Karna becoming enlightened. Karna doesn’t have any other identity, he doesn’t have any other ego. If you ask me to pick up best among the pancha Pandavas I will pick up only Karna. The only mistake he did was he was in the side of failure. He was on the wrong side. That’s all. He was on the loser’s side. That’s it. nothing else. Even this pancha pandavas after death they have gone only to heaven. But Karna straight enlightenment. And these fellows till the last moment they were only beggars – taking, taking, taking. But Karna lived as a king, died as a king. Died as a giver. I don’t think Krishna received anything from pancha pandavas except torture and troublesome complaints. It is almost like ashramites. Karna is a big donor. It is like a whatever he made in his life, he gives it away without thinking twice. Knowing if he gives away all his punya, the arrows of Arjuna is going to attack him, he is going to die. Practically he gave his whole life. Indra goes and takes the kavacha, shield and the kundala of Karna. Knowing it is Indra he gives. Now Krishna goes. Knowing it is Krishna Karna gives. Because when he offers the blood, Karna says for a Brahmin I cannot do the daana with blood. I know you are a yadava, have it with blood. You are a yadava come in the form of Brahmana. Take this. You can receive daana through blood. Have it. Otherwise a Brahmana is afraid of blood. Brahmana is always basically afraid of blood. That is why even with Durvasa. Durvasa or Vishwamitra I don’t know. He was sleeping in the lap of Karna. Krishna goes and bites Karna’s thigh in the form of a bee and blood goes. But Karna does not move his leg. When Durvasa wakes up he says you are not a Brahmana. Brahmana cannot tolerate blood. So Durvasa curses him all the knowledge I gave you thinking you are a Brahmana you will lose it. You are a Kshatriya. You cheated me and learnt all these things because Durvasa is ant Kshatriya. Anyhow, Brahmana cannot bear blood. First time Krishna drank Karna’s blood to take away many powers. But with all that Karna stood. I can say Karna is the personality had max struggle, exploited, cheated but till the end did not compromise on his ideology. Karna is the example for Dharma. I can say that is the reason he is blessed by the great fortune of giving even to Bhagavan! Greatest incarnation received from Karna.

Krishna can go down to any level. Understand Krishna going down to any level is not making any wrong statement about him. That shows his greatness. It is very easy to be with the grace. Who cares? It is very easy to be with attitude of who cares. It is very easy to be just sitting in the golden throne and talking, telling what I am doing now. But very difficult to come down to the level of ordinary people fighting with them, shouting with them, screaming at them, talking to them in their own language of fear and greed. Literally here, Krishna is blackmailing Arjuna saying if you don’t fight in this war, you will have sin. “papam avapsyasi” – you will incur sin. I don’t see threatening in this verse. I only see tremendous love as a sacred secret embedded in this verse. Tremendous compassion, tremendous love of Bhagavan coming down. You should literally understand only in this way. It is like me going to the Gurukul and sitting with the kids and even beating them aiy my share give, if you don’t give, you will incur sin. Only an insider knows it is done with a tremendous love not otherwise. Only one thing I wanted to say about this verse. Let me be very honest. Person who is in the level of Bhagavan for his consciousness. It is like a person who is in the flight cannot see an ant moving from one room to another room. Same way, a person who is established in enlightenment cannot see such a small engram of fear or greed. See it is almost like a Krishna is sitting in the flight , from there he is slowly picking up that one ant without disturbing and putting it in other place. Such a precise surgery. That is why exactly Krishna is doing consciously. He is in such high consciousness. Man who can play with anything. He can cover the sun. Just within next ten days or fifteen days he is going to show this fellow can cover the sun and he is now talking about sin. I am going to cover the sun ☺ First let me talk about the sin! Now within next half hour he is going to show Vishwarupa. See the whole Bhagavad Gita took only 1 ½ hours. As per the description, Bhagavan took only 1 ½ hours – one muhurtha to teach the whole Bhagavad Gita. So in next within next half hour or one hour because in Bhagavad Gita, Vishwarupa Darshana is only 11th chapter. So after that he gave 7 more chapters. Then surely he must have given the Vishwarupa Darshana by 45th minute or 60th minute. At least before the last half hour. It is totally 90 minutes. He would have shown the Vishwarupa Darshana by 60th minute or after 45th before 60th minute. That is what I feel. So within next half hour or one hour he is going to show he is cosmos. I really wonder then why should be doing all this – aiy you will incur sin and all this. I really feel whether Krishna is having mood swing. Sometime that’s what people feel when I sit and counsel some of the ashramites. The onlooker who does not have depression in that moment feels it - he is omni potent, omni present, omniscient – if he himself says, why this fool is not listening? But when you are in that place, nothing works! One thing I saw everybody is great in giving advice to others when others are in depression. But somehow the same words does not make meaning, sense, does not even have vocabulary understanding. Please understand meaning is different, vocabulary understanding is different. Vocabulary understanding means literally what it means through the dictionary. But when these fellows are in depression, the vocabulary meaning, understanding, sense nothing comes out of it. It just goes through one ear and comes out. No not even through the ear. It just goes above the head and goes out! RamaKrishna says you can come out of any disease but not from typhoid because when you are having typhoid you can’t even eat food or medicine. In those days the typhoid medicine was too strong Ayurvedic medicine. You can’t even eat typhoid medicine, take typhoid medicine. That is why they will give typhoid medicine through enema. They will inject it in the night. Whole night it will be there inside the stomach whatever absorbed, absorbed – that’s all. So it is very difficult to come out of typhoid in those days. Of course now a days injections have come and various other ways have come to put the medicine inside you. In those days because he says with other medicines, other diseases you can take medicine. With this disease you can’t even take the medicine. I can say depression is like that. With other problems at least you can receive the counseling and advice guidance from the master. But with depression, you just become adamant. You make the decision already. You are not ready to listen. The same words which you uttered to counsel somebody else when that person is in depression, even if you listen the same words you will say - no, no, no, that is for him. I really wanted to know, I wanted to make all these ashramites to take this ASP or NSP, some class kalpataru and all the counseling, advice, answers these guys give to all the students from the seat I wanted to record and keep it. When these fellows are in depression, no other solution, no answer, no counseling. Give the video cassette. Please listen to this video. Here is a solution for you. But unfortunately, none of those words make a meaning at that time.

I have seen when A is in depression, B is just sitting next to me. I am counseling the A. B always feels what is this? He is an incarnation, he can just show his Vishwarupa this moment and change his mind. Why is he sitting and struggling? But when the B is in depression he forgets I am an incarnation. The internal suffocation not feeling homely is Tapas! I ensure that not a single fellow around me feels homely till he is at home! Till you are in moksha, I never allow you to feel homely. If you are settling down with some feeling of homliness within 24 hours, no one hour I will be there physically or through my presence structuring to remind you and make you understand you are not yet home. Your home is only a boat home now, not built on foundation. Boat home is for travelling. It is only a lodge, guest house – Bidadi – Bidadi means guest house, rest house not home! I am just seeing the whole happening of Bhagavad Gita and I wonder here is a guy, has a capacity to show he is God, physically visually he can show he is cosmos, he is Brahmanda. Not only he has a capacity in next half hour is he going to show then why is this guy talking like a small beggar to such a low level saying – aiy! Do your duty, otherwise it it is a sin? I tell you this shows the compassion of Krishna Bhagavan. He is trying to handle Arjuna in every level. in every level means in every level. He tries to straighten out the consciousness of Arjuna by beautiful words and teachings the ultimate enlightenment science. He tries to straighten out Arjuna from the level of bio memory, he tries to straighten out Arjuna from the level of muscle memory, he tries to straighten out Arjuna from the lowest level of engram. See the fear of hell is just at an engram level. If Krishna says aiy I am god, I am an incarnation, I am telling you do it. I won’t say it is a compassion. No. when Krishna says aiy everything is atman, everything is God, nothing gets destroyed, wage the war. I won’t say it is compassion, it is knowledge. But when Krishna comes down to the level and says – aiy! Wage the war, otherwise it is a sin. I can only see what a sweetness, cuteness. He is literally me going to the Gurukul and fighting with the kids, sometime even falling on the ground in the fight and catching, finally got half a chocolate, and putting into the mouth and swallowing it before somebody else snatches from my hand. If this happens, if you are intelligent you can call this only as cute and tremendous love. You can’t say he is exploiting the kids, he is cheating the kids, he is stealing from the kids. Same way, I only see tremendous love and cuteness in this verse when he says

“papam avapsyasi” - you will incur sin as if this fellow wants he can’t remove people from sin or he will put sin just by will without even they doing right or wrong. Even if Arjuna wages war, if Krishna wants he can dump the sin on him. Even if Arjuna does not wage the war, if Krishna wants he can get him out of any sin. But this fellow says – aiy sin will come to you do it. I can see with big big eyes Krishna would have been trying to threaten, show terrorized face to Arjuna. But Arjuna is not ready to budge ☺ Arjuna is in the syndrome of choosing understanding. One side in the heart of heart he knows – aiy, you are God and you are all doer, all knower, all powerful you can do anything you want. On the other side – no, no, no. I will not listen whatever he says. I will do whatever I say, whatever I want, but you should do whatever I say. Arjuna is in the mode of denial. He says you are God I understand but I will what I want. You also should do only what I want. Now all of you can count how many Arjunas I have! In this whole verse I am not seeing any knowledge, I am not seeing any knowledge, I am not seeing any technique, I am not seeing any Yoga, I am not seeing any theology, I am not seeing any philosophy, I am seeing tremendous cute love, compassion of Krishna. That is the sacred secret in this verse. I don’t want to take this verse as a theology built for papa and punya, hell and heaven, svadharma, karma what you should do should not do. No. I am only seeing the ability of Krishna to come down to any lowest level to lift one disciple, to lift one devotee. I only see tremendous compassion and love of Krishna and tremendous irritation about Arjuna in this whole verse. So let me leave you all in this sacred secret. The sacred secret embedded in this verse is not any theology, not any philosophy, not any sutra, not any yoga, not any jnana, not any knowledge, not any technique. It is tremendous cute love the ability to come down of Krishna. Let you all sit in a relaxed way surrendering to Krishna.

1) Ganesh Kuroor from USA is asking – Swamiji, I am confused when you say that retiring cannot be deitified. How is the non-doing explained by you different from the non-doing of Vedanta?

Understand, non doing of Vedanta happens in you when your mind also enters in space of non-doing. But all the non-doing you know is only body not doing but mind is doing. When your mind is not doing anything, you are a different plane. Then I tell you your body will be doing just like me. Whatever you know as non-doing is not the non-doing of Vedanta. Whatever you know as the non-doing is a sin drop it! Come out of it. The non-doing of the Vedanta will happen to you. Aree doing only can be done by you. Non-doing cannot be done by you. It has to happen to you. Don’t you understand just by the word non-doing? Non-doing cannot be done by you. So whatever you know as non-doing is doing. So whatever you know non-doing drop it, it is only perversion, hypocrisy, wrong.

2) Ma Samatha and Sri Brahmaswarupa from Houston are asking – Dear Swamiji, you have said that during death the soul leaves one body and mind and enters another body and another mind immediately.

No. you heard it wrongly. Soul leaves one body and mind, and enters another body with the same mind! See it is like a when you can’t carry enough pickle you just carry the recipe of pickle. Go to that country wherever you want to and dilute it with water and make pickle. Same way you carry the recipe of your mind, patterns of your mind. For example in this janma you are married 7 times and you fought with all the 7 spouse. You don’t carry the name, memory, form of that 7 spouse. But you carry the pattern of marrying and fighting in the next janma and again you are going to either multiply or exponentially explore. So understand you are not going with another mind, you are going with same mind, different body. Let me continue with the question -

with same stature, creature, comforts and karma etc. You also said that Lord Krishna wanted to reduce the bhoo bara by finishing the 18 crore armies at either side of Kurukshetra. If first statement is correct, then how can lord Krishna reduce the bhoo bara as the same souls souls would be immediately reborn?

Now I want you to know there were many fellow s who got into the human body without the capacity, , ability, maturity. If they go through 2-3 deaths, that deaths can give maturity to them. Understand, death is tapas. Krishna is doing exactly what I am doing. I am making millions to sit all over the world and meditate, go through the death experience, making them matured, making their mind matured for the body they are occupying for the capacities they are having. With the human body, so many capacities, so many new doors are open. So many possibilities are open. If you are sitting there without being matured like many idiots having money without maturity. The amount of danger they can cause to the planet earth too much! Same way at that time many fellows were sitting in the human body where so many possibilities were open and available without the maturity for the body. Even now billions are sitting without the maturity for human body in human body. I call them only inhuman beings. All I am trying to do is giving them meditation, tapas and death meditation. I put them in death and get them out to make them matured. To make their mind matured for the body they are living in. Here Bhagavan literally does it. He puts them through the death physically itself. I put them through only psychologically He puts them through physically and makes them more matured. Bhagavan is doing exactly what I am doing now. But in those days Bhagavan is king also not just master. He is king also so he has the capacity to put the people even physically. See whatever is said and done, when you put them through psychological death, few people escape. Here he does not want to take chance. He puts all of them physically and shows them the truth about the life and makes them more mature. You should all understand the whole thing has happened in his presence. So naturally people had the tremendous maturity by that death.

3) Arabilla Bhashyam from New York. Swamiji you are talking about getting stuck in patterns. Can a too comfortable job be perceived as a pattern that needs to be broken?

I don’t want to say too comfortable job is a pattern to be broken. But I wanted to say all the challenges you are supposed to face for your expansion of creativity is stopped. So I will sincerely recommend at least to all my disciples and followers if you see a job is too comfortable, either take up more challenging job or at least start some side business. Some more business. If you don’t want to change that job it is too risky. Then retain that job but take some more responsibility like extra business, some more business so that your creativity is constantly challenged and you go on expanding. I sincerely recommend to all my disciples, devotees not to get stuck with the comfortable job. Not to stop with comfortable job. The moment you feel comfortable either go for higher job, more challenging, if you feel you don’t want to leave this job it is too much of risk, at least take up responsibility like a new job share trading or so many other jobs are there.
