In the 1st chapter of Bhagavad Gita, 4th verse – Arjuna Vishaada Yoga
Atra sura mahesvasa bhimarjuna-sama yudhi yuyudhano viratas ca drupadas ca maha-rathah
Here Duryodhana is describing the courage, valor, glory of the other side army. Here in this army there are many heroes weilding mighty bows and equal in military prowess to Bheema & Arjuna, Yuyudhana, Virata and the great chariot warrior Drupada! Duryodhana now points out all the great warriors fighting for Paandavas ready to lay their life for Paandavas. See when the fear comes, enemy looks too powerful. Enemy’s strength is your fear. Suddenly Duryodhana is praising the whole Paandava army. He says here in this army there are many heroes wielding mighty bows equal to Bheema and Arjuna. He raises Bheema and Arjuna to the level where he sets a standard based on Bheema, Arjuna. He says Bheema & Arjuna are the standard and to their level there are many heroes - Yuyudhana, Virata and Drupada. Shooraha – he uses the word Shooraha – heroes. Please understand when the ego is mixed with the depression, it expresses as fear. When the ego does not mix with the depression, it expresses as a withdrawal feeling. If you are just depressed and your ego is not supporting it, you will feel like withdrawing. That is what Arjuna felt. When Arjuna had depression, he was withdrawing, he is not describing all the glory of the opposite army. He says very clearly. We can kill them but what are we going to get by killing them. Please understand the whole attitude. Here the reason of Duryodhana’s depression is the fear of failure - How can we kill all these heroes? Big fellows are there. But the Arjuna’s depression, the reason for the Arjuna’s depression is why should we kill? What are we going to gain by killing all these fellows? See the big difference – depression supported by ego, depression not supported by ego. If your ego does not support your depression, even depression leads you to the right direction. I tell you if Arjuna did not have depression there would have been war. Naturally Arjuna would have won the game because krishna is there. But Arjuna would not have become enlightened. But here right depression and the right decision to approach the right person. Arjuna could have gone to Dharma, Yudhistra when he was depressed. I tell you if he had gone to Yudhistra, Yudhishtra would have been convinced by Arjuna and they would have withdrawn from the war. He could have gone to Bheema. Maybe Bheema would have killed Arjuna - you fool! at this moment you are trying to disturb the process, better let you die. He could have gone to Nakula and Sahadeva how they would have handled we don’t know. But, fortunately he went to right person Krishna. Right depression, right approach, right person was approached. That is why not only Arjuna won the game of war, he won game of life! Sometime your individual ego costs too much in the life. I can say sometime it can cost some time lives, not just one life – lives!
Atra sura mahesvasa bhimarjuna-sama yudhi yuyudhano viratas ca drupadas ca maha-rathah
Duryodhana then pointed out the great Paandava warriors such as Bheema and Arjuna who too were students of Drona as well as a number of other great warriors fighting for the Paandavas! If you do the psychoanalysis of Duryodhana, you can see the tremendous overflowing fear, arrogance, ego and unable to take the responsibility. Unwilling to take the responsibility, the shivering. Shivering internally and externally! He continues, Duryodhana continues to describe the opposite army. Come on in the verse 5 he continues…
“Dhrstaketus cekitanah kasirajas ca viryavan purujit kuntibhojas ca saibyas ca nara-pungavah”
Translation says - There are courageous warriors like Dushtaketu, chekitanah, the courageous Kasi raja, Purjit, kunti bhoja and Saibya the best of men. You need to give attention to the work Kasi Raja which proves we are a unbroken civilization for at least last 5000 years! The western historians are trying their best, trying their best to say the Harappa Mohenjodaro oldest civilization does not have any literature and all the literature Hindu tradition has does not have a civilization! Bull! Sometime just because they have a power to print, power to televise, power to spread certain ideas, they go to any extreme to destroy anything. It is so unfortunate. The word Kasi raja proves very clearly, please understand still kasi has, even now Kasi has a king. His name is Kasi raja. They have individual names that is different. The Kasi raja is the title. No this reference proves very clearly from the Maha Bharatha time, the unbroken kingdom, unbroken succession – even the family name is same. Please understand it is not the title just because they are kings of Kasi, it is like a it has become a family name – Kasi raja. This is a reference that the Vedic civilization is unbroken from the time of Maha Bharatha war even now, till now. The cities, systems, life style, one of the oldest civilization. Duryodhana is totally confused here. He started off praising the strength of Paandava army. Of course it is not genuinely because he wanted to praise them. But mainly wanted to point out to Drona saying that you trained all these fellows, they are all now standing against you!
As I said when Arjuna became depressed he did not say - oh Krishna! You created an army finally the whole army is standing against you! Please understand I referred so many Gita commentaries, Bhagavad Gita bhaashyaas, and Maha Bharatha stories not a single commentator even remembers to bring this point to light that Krishna’s army is fighting against Krishna! He gave boon to, Krishna gave a boon to Duryodhana – you have my army, I will be in Paandavas side. Arjuna never pin points that. Neither Arjuna is saying, nor the commentators are remembering. I am the first one to bring this to light ☺ Understand, see Drona trained few people they are all standing against Drona in Paandavas side, Duryodhana is talking about this again & again. But Krishna’s whole army is standing in Duryodhana’s side against krishna, Arjuna is not talking about it, Arjuna is not saying anything about it. Because his depression is not because of fear of failure, his depression is just ideological conflict. But reason for Duryodhana’s depression is totally different. The logic behind Duryodhana’s depression is fear of failure. Please understand, sometime the reason is different for the same effect. More than the effect the reason for the effect should be known so that we can solve the issue. More than the depression, the reason for the depression should be understood. That is why this psychoanyalyst go on analyzing, analyzing, analyzing, analyzing, analyzing before they find the reason, patient gets cured! Actually before a psycho analyst doctor finds the reason, patient finds the reason and he comes out of the problem. That is the way they cure. One good thing will happen to you after you go to a psycho analyst is you yourself will become a doctor. After a few years you can start your own practice! Because all you need is just put a curtain, make the patient lie down on the couch, put a curtain and he should go on be talking , you should say – yes, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, go ahead, I am listening, I understand. All you need is just this 5-6 words but you should just go on repeating.
I heard one day a psycho analyst because he has to attend some more patients, recorded the voice – hmmm, yes go ahead, I understand. Put the patient on the couch, put the screen, put this recording and went to attend another patient. So this patient was lying & went on and on. Suddenly after one hour he realized - go ahead, I am listening and saw that these words are appearing in the wrong timings ☺ So he pulled the curtain, he saw. He did not tell anything. Next time when he came, doctor did the same - he just switched on his recorder and went away. After an hour the doctor came back. He saw from the other side voice coming continuously. So he said okay great. My patient will not know now if I pick up. He switched off the record and started telling – yes, go ahead, I understand. After one hour, suddenly the voice stopped. He could not understand and he said go ahead, go ahead. But no voice. He removed the curtain to find the tape recorder that side! ☺ the patient also audio recorded the whole thing. the patient brought the tape recorder and left and went away. So tape recorders talking to each other is psycho analysis! ☺
You need to understand the logic behind the law. Because many time when you don’t understand the logic behind the law and execute the law I can be 100% sure you will be just doing completely something illegal. I am the victim of something which is done legally but without the spirit of law. I can say it is not even legal – illegal ☺ When you understand the logic behind the law, executing the law or solving any problem will be more easy. If you don’t understand the logic behind the law, even if you do something legal, it will not be legal. Duryodhana is now totally confused here. But unfortunately, his depression is not like Arjuna’s depression. The logic behind his depression is different. Logical understanding about depression will really help all of you to come out of it, whenever you experience. You see depression is something for which you will always have a pakka, sure guaranteed solution as long as it comes to others. Depression is something for which you will have very logical, very legal, very formal, a guaranteed solution you will have as long as it comes to others. Somehow with depression when it happens to you, you will not be able to find out the logic with which it is happening. When you don’t find the logic, you will not come to a legal confusion, you will not come to the right conclusion.
I have a story for you about logical and legal. After having failed his exam in logistics and organization, a student goes and confronts his lecturer about it. Student says – “Sir do you really understand anything about the subject?” Professor says – “surely I understand otherwise how will I be professor? Student challenges – great, well then I would like to ask you a question. If you can give me a correct answer I will accept my marks that I failed and go. Of course, if you however do not know the answer I want you to give me an ‘A’ for the exam. Professor says okay. Done. It’s a deal. So what is the question? Student says – Sir, what is legal but not logical, logical but not legal and neither logical nor legal? Give me 3 example - what is legal but not logical, logical but not legal, neither logical nor legal. After a long and hard consideration, professor was not able to give the answer. So he changes his mind and gives the student ‘A’ grade as agreed. But professor is in a big confusion. He catches his student and asks him please why don’t you answer. The student immediately answers – Sir, you are a 63 year old man and married to a 35 year old woman which is legal but not logical. Your wife has a 25 year old lover which is logical but not legal. The professor says then what is 3rd? The fact that you have given your wife’s lover an ‘A’ although really he should have failed is neither legally nor logical! ☺
Better know logic behind every happening! Otherwise you may end up giving ‘A.’ if you give ‘A’ to this joke it is legal and logical. When you don’t know the logical flow even the right solution can be a wrong for the place where the solution is given to the person whom the solution is offered.
Duryodhana goes on expanding glorifying the Paandava army he continues with the next verse –
“Yudhamanyus ca vikrantauttamaujas ca viryavan saubhadro draupadeyas ca sarva eva maha-rathah”
6th verse - There are mighty Yudaamanyu, the brave Uttamauja, Abhimanyu the son of Subadra and the sons of Draupadi all of them great chariot warriors. Duryodhana saw the soldiers of Paandava army arrayed in front of him. There were many ways he could have responded to the sight. He could have bloated that surely he would destroy his cousins. He would have roared out in anger and in defiance. Yet after seeing the army, he chose to approach his teacher and mentor Drona, one of the commanders of Kaurava army, to seek consultation, to seek guidance. He goes on praising – “Sarva eva maharathah” all certainly great warriors - “Yudhamanyus ca vikrantauttamaujas ca viryavan saubhadro draupadeyas ca sarva eva maha-rathah”
Let me explain further in the next verses also how he goes on to describe the Paandava army – (7th verse)
“Asmakam tu visista ye tan nibodha dvijottama nayaka mama sainyasya samjnartham tan bravimi te”
Oh best of the Brahmanas! know them also who are the principle warriors on our side, the generals of my army for your information I mention them. Now Duryodhana I think turning this side then explained about the great warriors of Kaurava’s side to Drona, Duryodhana was no longer a disciple addressing to his Guru. He alternately berated Drona for having trained the warriors of the opposing army and then passified him by listing him at the head of his own great warriors. See he is like a he is in confusion, he is in depression, he just goes on, on, on. One side he praises the Paandava’s army. Now he feels he should not depress Drona also. So he comes back and starts describing his side -
“Asmakam tu visista ye tan nibodha dvijottama nayaka mama sainyasya samjnartham tan bravimi te”
He is using the word best among Brahmanas – Dvijottama – Dvija means twice born, who is born once more, whose one more layer of DNA is awakened. Please understand when you are taking birth, one layer of DNA gets awakened, when you grow by the bringing up one more layer of DNA gets awakened, if you have taken a spiritual re-birth one more layer of DNA gets awakened. So person whose 3rd layer of DNA gets awakened is called Dvija. He says Dvijottama – best among the Brahmanas. I will describe our side army also. He is not saying our side, he is saying my side – mama sainyasya – the embodiment of ego and arrogance. See when the problem comes, he puts the blame on Drona saying see what you have done? When the strength comes he says see my strength! RamaKrishna tells a very beautiful story. There was a Brahmana having a beautiful garden. Everyday he will pour water to all the plants and maintain, enjoy the results of the fruits & flowers. One day, there was a cow grazing on his garden. In the anger he took a stick and beaten the cow left & right. Unfortunately, the cow died. Brahmana to kill a cow is too much. The gho hatya dosha is coming. The dosha came & stood at the gates of Brahmana and saying - “come on, now I am going to come into your life, you are going to lose all your glory! Now you will have all the sins.” Recently I discovered something with my research. When you get a certain guilt - the idea you have done something wrong, your skin glow drastically reduces! That is what in our tradition we mention again & again if this sin comes to you, you will lose your grace - means that shining of that skin will disappear, the aura will disappear. When people come out of guilt, their skin starts shining! Because every time I see just the four day NSP, usually 2nd day we work on the guilt and people come out of their guilt by third day. I always find invariably by fourth day people are shining! Their face is so shining, bright! I was wondering how can this be? Then I realized when somebody falls into guilt, immediately the skin shining disappears. So this sin of gho hatya is waiting. This guy is trying to find some logic to escape from the sin. He says - no, no, no, see the Upanishads are saying, our vedas are saying Indra is the lord of the hand, he gives power for the hand to work. So Indra is responsible for this act. So go and catch Indra – not me. This sin of gho hatya should be enjoyed by Indra, not by me. Like how people dump all their problems on me! No really. Some time it is so literally directly cheating! It is not even cheating in indirect way. They will come and ask - just few days before one Bramhachari who left the ashram, he came and asked me - why did you leave me? I said what? You left me or I left you? you only went away from the ashram, I did not tell you to go and I told you not to go. No, no, no, why did you inspire my mind to go? I said who inspired your mind? No, no, no, even if I want to go, why did you let me go? What do you want? You want me to lock yourself in the room or what? You want me to lock you in the room and say that I won’t allow you to go out. Already I have enough problem! I don’t want some more problem! What do you mean? Btu they say no, no, no you only made me go. Just like this Brahmana this gardener guy. But what to do? the sin is supposed to listen to Brahmana. So the gho hatya dosha – it goes to Indira loka. It tells Indra – aiy! I am going to catch you. That Brahmana told me that you are responsible for killing of that cow, it’s time that I enter your life. Indra got frightened. What is this? I was just sitting with Indrani & doing something. How come suddenly this gho hatya has come from all the way somewhere? So the gho hatya explains and this fellow Indra says wait, wait, wait for a moment. I will give you a solution, you just come with me . I will find a solution for it. So Indra takes the form of another one Brahman, enters the garden and starts praising wow what a garden, I have never seen in my life. Who made it? what kind of fruits, what kind of flowers! What an amazing garden! Then suddenly the owner of that garden that Brahmana appeared and started telling- “I am, I am the owner of the garden, what do you want? Who are you?” This guest Brahmana, the Indra disguised in the form of Brahmana he says “No, no, no I just came to see your garden from long distance, I heard the glory of your garden in my country.” Can you explain how did you do all this - this great achievement? That’s all. The Brahmana started you don’t know how difficult it is from various places I collected the different saplings, digged the whole, put the fertilizer in my own hand, did with hard work I did this, I did that, then there was no water. I created a canal from the river from my own hand and brought water to the garden. Then a whole day I have remove all the fallen leaves, weeds, maintain this place and make a beautiful fence! He takes the new Brahmana, new guest - shows the whole garden describing this I did, this I did, this I did, all the trees. Finally, by mistake, both of them come near the body of the cow, dead cow. Suddenly, this guest Brahmana jumps and says oh! What happened? How did this cow die? This owner Brahmana, the gardener suddenly he changes the tone and says – no, no, no, Indra killed this cow! Then Indra changes his form and catches the neck of the Brahmana and says oh! All these trees, plants, everything you did, only killing this cow Indra did! When all this good things are yours, how can the bad thing go to Indra? He shows the hypocrisy of this gardener Brahmana to the gho hatya dosha and tells the gho hatya now catch this fellow. And gho hatya also understood the logic and caught the gardener Brahmana.
Understand, you always tend to put the negative side, means blames on somebody else. All the right thing on yourself. That is the way the depression works. Here exactly Duryodhana is playing the same drama.
“Asmakam tu visista ye tan nibodha dvijottama nayaka mama sainyasya samjnartham tan bravimi te”
My army! He is not saying our army, no. Mama sainyasya samjnartham tan bravimi te
Let’s see how Duryodhana explains further in the next verse – (8th verse)
“Bhavan bhismas ca karnas ca krpas ca samitim-jayah asvatthama vikarnas ca saumadattis tathaiva ca”
He says my army! He is describing they are yourself, Bheeshma, Karna, Krupa who is ever victorious in battle even so Ashwattama, Vikarna and the son of Somadutta.
Understand, the funny thing is ..what is materialized let us see. Wow! Big diamond. Big diamond has materialized. Show closer ma (it is displayed on the projector) I think we can build the ashram by this way itself ☺ Such huge! Amma, remove the cloth and just show the piece. God! Actually these guys were asking me that I should materialize, I should teleport the Kohinoor diamond back to Bharat. I said I will not steal as I have taken the vow, no question of stealing. But I can materialize one more. I think the tuning is happening. Soon we may have one more diamond like Kohinoor. We will materialize. And not only that, I have already taken the vow that diamond belongs to Somanatha. So when I materialize one more, I will give it Somanatha. It belongs to Somanatha! It will go back to decorate the crown of Somanatha. Somanatha is the Somanath Temple in Gujarat. That original Kohinoor belongs to Somanath Mahadev. It was on the crown of Somanath Mahadev. Then it was stolen and went to different hands and finally now it is sitting I think British London museum. I will make exactly like one and prove through the jewelers that it is of same quality and same standard and give it to Somanath. Let him have again in his crown! These all the respect we give for our tradition. Somanatha will not even bother. He doesn’t need Kohinoor crown, Kohinoor diamond. But it is we, who are supposed to do that job! Hmmm.
Let’s continue. Now the Duryodhana is explaining his army. See the funny thing. He is talking to Drona he could have easily said our army. Not only he did not say our army, he is saying my army. Now he is saying great warriors of my army – you! He is trying to possess even Drona as his servant! Please understand, see the peak of ego! When you discuss with somebody who is your teacher, who is now commander, you should say our army. He did not even bother to say our army, at least when you describe you should have been little polite. He says my warriors are first you, they are yourself – bhavaan – you, Bheeshmascha – Bheeshma, Karna, Krupa and Aswattamaa, Vikarana and the son of Somadutta. Now actually the fight starts between Karna and Bheeshma. Because Karna expected first he will be asked to lead the army. But Duryodhana chose Bheeshma and so the Karna takes a vow till Bheeshma is alive, I will not take my bow and fight in the army. Lot of internal conflicts. So Duryodhana now feel, tries to feel secure by describing his army - strength and valor arose from the feeling of being supported by his clan and the army around him. On the positive side, Duryodhana was an extremely generous friend. So he describes all the people like Drona, Bheeshma, Karna, Krupa, Ashwattaama, Vikarna & Somadutta. He goes on.
Let me see in the next verses, how further he describes. These are all actually description of the war scene, setting of the stage – (9th verse)
“Anye ca bahavah sura mad-arthe tyakta-jivitah nana-sastra-praharanah sarve yuddha-visaradah”
There were many other heroes who are prepared to lay down their lives for my sake. All of them are well equipped with different kinds of weapons and all are experienced in military science. Now Duryodhana tries to explain his side warriors
“Anye ca bahavah sura mad-arthe tyakta-jivitah - means who are ready to sacrifice their life.
nana-sastra-praharanah sarve yuddha-visaradah - who knows the whole logic and science of battle, science of military and experienced in battle. He is trying to explain their commitments. Next verse also he continues –
“aparyaptam tad asmakam balam bhismabhiraksitam paryaptam tv idam etesam balam bhimabhiraksitam”
This army of ours – now, suddenly he is using the word ours – asmakam – he is not using the word mama. He is using the word asmakam. After describing every name, now he feels the need for the word asmakam. He says asmakam – this army of ours protected by Bheeshma is invincible whereas their army protected by bheema is conquerable. He is trying to show his valor saying here is Bheeshma. It is invincible. There only Bheema. We will conquer them. We will conquer them. So, he is using the word apariyaptam and pariyaptam. Apariyaptam for his army and pariyaptam for Bheema’s army. Just all these verses show the confusion on the whole stage. He is just trying to boost his own moral by saying that the power of the Kaurava army lead by Bheeshma was immense whereas the Paandava army with Bheema as one of the commanders was limited in power. Duryodhana ‘s reference to Bheema alongside Bheeshma was due to the fear of the oath that Bheema has taken. Bheema had taken the oath to break Duryodhana’s thigh and drink his blood to avenge the insult to Draupadi. Duryodhana knew that the only factor that could prevent it would be the protection of Bheeshma. Nobody except Bheeshma can face Bheema! So the fear of Duryodhana he tries to equate Bheeshma and Bheema. He is trying to improve the moral, boost the moral of the army. Today all these slokas are almost description of the war scene, setting the stage where Paandavas and Kauravas are standing and Duryodhana is describing this whole scene to the Drona and asking his consultation. This whole scene is described so vividly you can’t imagine. That is why I again & again insist the whole Maha Bharatha is the truth as it happened. See when you imagine, you can’t go to such a minute details. Especially now dealing with police, the cases filed on me & the cases our ashramites filed. All these things with lot of investiagation, I can understand very clearly, we are winning because we are describing as it happened without adding anything. The fellows who have filed false complaints on us they are losing because they tried to imagine. When you imagine you cannot imagine to the details, in investigation your will be caught! With this logic and understanding I tell you, you cannot imagine to this details if it is just imagination! It is really a happened story. Maybe in some places there are little poetic descriptions, that small poetic description or exaggeration cannot make the whole thing myth. No. The word ‘purana’ cannot be translated into myth. No. it is not even exaggeration. I should say that the ideas which can’t be understood by your ordinary logic. That’s all. When you see this detailed description, you can be very sure this cannot be a lie. And one more thing, if Vyaasa is imagining the whole thing, at least at some points he should be inconsistent because one lakh verses. You cannot maintain consistency in one lakh verse if you are imagining. Try to write 100 page novel by imagination. You will see how many times you will miss the names and miss the sides and become inconsistent. Here is a guy who is writing one lakh verses, 100 thousand verses. There is no inconsistency. You cannot maintain inconsistency if you are lying or imagining. Please understand he is using all the names here - the Paandavas side and Kauravas side. If he is just imagining or lying after 10 verse he will suddenly miss one name at least. Because such a huge army! How can he maintain consistency? And the guy who is writing is Ganesha. He has made a condition - I will not rewrite, I will not repeat, I will not proof read. No, Ganesha has made all these conditions before writing. He says you have to continuously dictate, I will pen down. If you give a gap, I will stop and go away. And no rewriting, no proof reading, no gap for my speed you have to recite. So you don’t even have a time to imagine and fit! Ganesha is ensuring only the truth is told! It’s like a live video recording and audio recording. You can’t change anything after that. I tell you because it is live recorded and there is no inconsistency, and the sheer volume, length of the scripture 100,000 couplets, I vouch the whole thing has happened! It is not imagination! No mind can imagine and maintain consistency for 100,000 slokas! It is impossible! It is impossible to maintain consistency in 100,000 slokas, 100,000 couplets. I tell you even if it has happened unless you have a divine vision, you will not be able to give such a precise details – who is standing which side, understand 18 crore people are there. At least there would have been 1 lakh leaders for 18 crore people. 11 crore one side and 7 crore the other side. Sorry actually I referred, it is 10 crore one side and 8 core the other side. 10 core is the Kaurava side and 8 crore is the Paandavas side. It is no 11-7, it is 1-8. This 7-11 number has got into my system because of this 7-11 shops in US. All 7-11 shops are owned by Bharatns! ☺ I referred it is 10-8. 10 agroni in the Kaurava’s side, 8 agroni in the Paandava side. Understand even to mention this information, I have to refer. And I missed once! Then, can you understand how difficult for Vyaasa to imagine and maintain the consistency! No way! I tell you it is happened. Vyaasa is just recording. Vyaasa is recording the whole scene. Otherwise it is not possible to maintain the consistency and you need to understand some of the funny things, when Duryodhana speaks here, certain grammar is maintained in the dialogue, certain slang. You will be shocked, throughout the book wherever Duryodhana speaks the same slang is appearing. It is not a joke! To maintain the slang of the conversations of the each character throughout the book! See where ever Krishna speaks the Krishna slang is maintained- the Dwarika Sanskrit. Where ever the Arjuna speaks, the Arjuna slang is maintained. Please understand, Arjuna and Krishna both of them learnt from the same Gurukul. But Krishna has started living in Dwaraka so the language was little different. So even the slangs of the conversations is maintained consistently throughout the 100,000 sutras! It is not a joke! The beginning of the book when Bheeshma speaks how he speaks the words he uses, the grammar he uses, see in the Sanskrit is such each one will have their own unique slang. The slang Bheeshma uses in the beginning of the book and the end of the book the Vishnu Sahasranama both are maintained in the same slang! Understand, the beginning of the book when the Bheeshma takes a vow - the slang, the language, the conversation, the way, the style, the grammar he uses is the same when he is in the death bed singing the glory of Vishnu – “Viswam Vishnur Vashatkaro bhoota bhavya bhavat prabuhu!” the Vishnu Saharanamam!
You can’t maintain a slang of each character’s conversation throughout a huge epic! Understand still now Maha Bharatha is the largest epic. Still nobody is able to break the record. I can say Vyaasa not only created one Guinness record of writing the longest epic poem, he has made one more Guinness record, the longest record which was not broken, the record which is not broken for a longest period! More than 5,000 years, still nobody is able to break the record. And, it is impossible to write a book where even the conversations of the characters is consistent from beginning to end. No. That is why I tell you - it has happened. It is not just created. So with this, I end the satsang today. We will continue the next verses in the next continuous days. Today is more a description - setting of the stage. Please understand the whole first chapter Krishna is not opening the mouth. Krishna opens his mouth only in the second chapter. He listens, listens, listens. He listens to the problem, understands the logic of the problem, understands how it is created, then he is trying to solve! I bless you all who are sitting with us in 382 places around the world through eNtv, in 10 places 2 way video conferencing - Nayana Deeksha, in 120 cities, 16 countries around the globe!
