First when the poison came out of the churning of the milky ocean, shiva is supposed to drink it,.,..and save the world. when he was doing that…the drop that got dropped became Rakshas Sthal. And this is a poisonous lake. Later during fight with Chanda and munda two demons devi fo8ught wieth, she used this lake.

Thy ehave rakta beeja vara – they have boon 0- each blood will act like seed – when each drop of their blood fall on the ground, it becomes another rchanda and munda. So Devi feels now what to do? Bnecos if I cut them each drop becomes one more…so she dumps them both…in this Rakshas Sthal. So whenever a drop of blood comes and another demon comes, they willd rink that poson and die. So constantly the chanda munda drank this water and died. Still they say if animals drink that water regularly the die. This is story of Rakshas Tal,!
