Tiger Clark, first thing: extreme transparency is not the way for outer-world life. So Tiger Clark, only in the individual’s highest purpose like enlightenment and guru-disciple relationship, you need extreme transparency, not in the so-called social organizations or corporate organizations. And in political organizations, transparency is dangerous! It is dangerous and not going to help. In social organizations, it will not help much. But in guru-disciple relationship, a complete transparency will be very helpful, very powerful aid for you to be enlightened. I tell you, just by being complete transparent with the Guru, you may never lose anything - it may only lead you to enlightenment.

2. What kind of incentives and measurement systems could we devise to encourage internal entrepreneurs and nurture a varied portfolio of opportunities? - Radha Chandra, Ireland

This is a very beautiful question. Radha Chandra, create an ambience where knowledge and creativity is celebrated! I tell you, this can happen only when the person who owns or who takes the maximum responsibility of that organization is himself celebrating knowledge and creativity. 3. Are phobias the result of some evil happening in a past life? Since they have no basis in our current experience, how can we get over them? - Irfaan Ahmed, Bangalore, Bharat

Irfan, 2-3 things you need to understand. First thing, there are some phobias that are the result of some evil happening in past life, but not all phobias. Second, if anything that happened in the past life is affecting your present and future, it is an evil happening, But anything which does not affect your present and future is not an evil happening. Third, you are saying, Since they have no basis in our current experience, how can we get over them? The only way to get over the phobias is untiringly reminding yourself that they have no basis in your current experience.

See, phobias are like mood swings. When somebody comes to me with a mood swing, I don’t keep quiet. I remind, remind, remind, remind, remind. Sometime people around me ask me, Swamiji, what is there to advise them. They already know all the words. I tell them, No, right now they don’t know! Remind even the basic truths in guru-disciple relationship. See, guru boils you like a potato. Potato tries to jump out of the pot! Please don’t do it. Wait. Then your mind will say, how can I suppress? How can I kill it by suppressing? Only by suppressing, it dies. Even basic truths need to be reminded. Like A for Apple, B for Ball - again and again reminding. Irfan, all phobias are nothing but mood swings. When mood swings are strengthened, they are called phobias; when phobias are in initial level, it is called mood swings.

DT-TECH-See, whether it is phobia or mood swing, there is only one thing to watch - whether they are able to repeat something, or you are able to repeat in greater frequency. After that it is your choice. Understand, all phobias are frozen mood swings. The only solution for phobias is ajapa japa. Even if you have phobia for flight or closed spaces, when you are having that phobia, do ajapa japa, you will see it will disappear.

Andrea Williams, whether you are a male or female, your role in marriage is sharpening your capabilities of compassion, compatibility and ability to accommodate more people into your fear and greeds, goals, ambitions; ability to accommodate them in your inner space; ability to keep them feel connected to what you want, and ability to connect with what they want. I tell you, marriage is nothing but one-life Guru-disciple relationship! Guru-disciple relationship is eternal - life after life after life. Of course, marriage has lot of wrong components. I am not talking those components. Our marriage has many of the wrong understandings or meanings. I am not talking about the legal marriage you understand. Anyhow, let me put it in very simple way. Andrea, only when your ambitions and goals find place for the other person and the other person’s ambitions and goals find place for you, you will be homely. You will be fulfilling your role in marriage. Other than that, no other way. One more thing I want to tell you – you cannot have complete union of mind. For that to happen, both persons should be in no-mind space. The union of minds never happens. At least be very clear, both of you find place for each other in your ambitions and goals. Whatever is your ambition, your goal see to it that you find place for the other person, and same way, you should find space for other person’s ambitions and goals. That is the only way you will be fulfilling your role in marriage.
