195th Patanjali Yoga Sutras, 4th chapter 33rd verse

Kshana pratiyogi parinaama apara anta nir graahyaha kramaha

I have to tell something which I really feel. Even Shiva Sutra is not this high grammar. With whatever little Sanskrit grammar I know with that I can tell. Patanjali is after all a grammarian. He has done it in more sophisticated and polished language. He puts it in a way it is like if you listen to my Tamil satsangs especially when I put it will all my mood.

O – kaivalya is the state of enlightenment that follows the remurgence of gunas due to they becoming devoid fo the object o fpurusha. In this state purusha is established in pure consciuoseness.

This is actually description of a state after enlightenment. But the sacred secrets from this sutra will be directly useful to you. understand whatever happens in your life even when you think you are not enlightened, so whatever happens in your life even while you think you are not enlightened whatever is happening in you is the expression of purusha means super consciousness. P uses purusha to mention the God, the superconsciuosness, the whole, the cosmos – anything other than you. pl und even while you think you are not enlightened all your experiences are from the existence of purusha with the permission of purusha. I can give you this one example. 2 weeks before my hand movements are not as much as now, 2 weeks after it will be much better. After 2 weeks it will become like enlightened hand – perfect. But that does not mean now it is not from purusha.

If you are watching my satsang and not listening ☺ then you can find out my movements have not become completely alright. That does not mean these movements now are not from my purusha. They are. So und even after enlightenment these gunas will continue to play but as slave or servant to you. you may think what is the use of listening to that idea now, now I am slave what can be done? Pl und if somebody is a slave for you one day, understand even today it is a slave! I have a live web camera connection in my house which connects to Arunachala. See most of you may be aware, since my childhood I always sleep in a way I can see Arunachala hill first thing when I wake up. So in my life the moment I wake up in the morning, I will open my eyes and see Arunachala. Even now morning the moment I wake up, I will press the web camera button and I will wake up and see Arunachala hill first thing. Today morning as usual I got up, pressed the button, Arunachala appeared and I prayed. And then suddenly I saw that the scene suddenly changed! I saw Gurupurnima day I saw aarthi being given to Nithyananda. My senses wwere still not settled at that time. It takes at least few minutes to settle down in me and for me to remember Nithyananda and me is one. So today I was not even remembering Nithyananda was me. I saw that scene and at that moment also I was in Samadhi only. I was feeling very auspicious and blessed. Only then I saw the channel and saw it was Sun News! Then I got up went to the bathroom, got ready and came back. Automatically that channel went away.

Actually the live web cam to Arunachala is not even TV. It is an internet connection. I don’t know how automatically fromt here it jmoved to Sun news and then came back. Then I thought even they are going to achieve the same blessing as Hiranyaksha & Hiryanyaksha…

Jaya Vijaya security guards of Vishnu did now allow Narada. Narada cursed sahying becos of your nearness to Vishnu you are having arrogance. They fall at his feet and Narada says I cannot do anything I already cursed go to Vishnu. Then they go to Vishnu and Vishnu says do you guys want 100 births as my devotee or 3 births as my enemy. What do you want. So both of them sat & discussed. They came to conclusion even if it is suffering, let us take 3 janmas and be his enemy it is okay. We can be killed. Then Bhagawan says in 3 of my incarnations both of you guys come and spread my glory. Then those 2 come as Kamsa & Sisupala, Hiranyaksha & Hiranyakashipu, Ravana & Kumbakarna. So I have decided from my side I will not curse anyone anymore. I will continue my mission.

Even when you think you are not enlightened all the actions done through you are with the consent of the purusha and even after enlightenment all actions going to happen are going to be with the consent of purusha. So do not worry or suffer for this moment. Please understand in the last sutra P described very beautifully even the gunas – gunas are respsonible for all delusion, illusion, suffering, depression, health, sickness mental relationship suffering. Evne the gunas exist just to make you understand, experience and m ake you live in your original purusha state. It is like there is something I can give this example – there is one goat which escapes from the group. So naturally the shepherd runs, shows the stick gets the sheep back to the group. Just like that for some reason you fell into the idea that you are in delusion. Trigunas are used by the consciousness as a stick -0 it uses this stick to get you back to your original state.

P ends the whole book with the auspicious state that even now there is no suffering don’t worry. Just remember even after enlightenment the state then will not allow you to get bound by anything. So even now don’t be bound by anything!

Purusha should become comfortable with the changing gunas. When purusha becomes comfortable any program can be experienced by the body, mind, the Prakruthi and purusha. All of them just starts celebrating their existence through you. I am telling you this whole world is a dream. It is not that after you wake up this dream disappears. It is not that once I wake up I don’t see you. I do see you but it is just that you do not bind me. While you live your so called normal life or enlightened life, the Prakruthi is going to be there – the 3 gunas – satva, rajas, tamas – all 3 are going to be there before and after enlightened. So don’t worry that the present state is somewhere lower. Understand in the present state also you are not bound you are free. After enlightenment what you are going to experience all that is available even at this moment. By remembering this you will simply come out of all suffering in this moment. This sutra is like an instant enlightenment pill!

It is like one guy falls into water and shouts Oh Guru save me, save me. Guru says stand up, he says Vedanta later save me …save me – Atma deepo bhava, appa depo bhava, light unto yourself….water is knee deep! When you listen to the truth immediately you are liberated. Same way this stura is instant liberating stura.

Even after kaivalya enlightenment the trigunas are going to be there, you are going to be there. Only thing they cannot bind you as they are devoid of purusha. Even now you are in the same state. Even now trigunas ar e devoid of purusha and purusha is devoid of trigunas. Look into you now – what do you call as your suffering? Maybe some mental mood swing. Understand all this mood swings are devoid of you purusha. Don’t associate yourself with it. even after enlightenment those mood swings are going to be there. It is not they will disappear. Only thing it is going to be devoid of you.t hen why don’t you be devoid of them now itself. P reveals the ss of this sutra – be devoid of it now. That’s it!

196th PYS, 4th chapter 34th verse – last sutra

Subject – Gitam Of eternal bliss Nithyananda!

Purushartha shoonyanaam gunaanam prati prachara kaivalyam swarupa pratishta vaak chithi shakte iti

Isolation or freedom or kaivalya is the establishment of the power of knowledge in its own nature

Since the gunas no longer have any purpose to serve the atman they res….atman shines in its own prestine …

Osho: Kaivalya is the state of enlightenment (repeat of last sutra)

The ss in this sutra is when you are enlightened all the 3 gunas the changes in nature disappears into nature – Prakruthi itself and you rest in the pure consciousness. So now itself start resting in the pure consciousness that sall. I can say this sutra is told in such a way that it is like a blessing. He is blessing his disciples. P is usually a man with less words. But here with lot of words in a deatailed way with a overflowing heart he is blessing.

When the gunas serve their purpose of putting you back into the restful awareness, consciousness where you reside in yourself nothing more is required, nothing more is needed. The gunas have served their purpose. It is like a happy climax in a movie. The villain has served his purpose he either becomes a good person, apologizes to the hero and everyone and changes or dies. The villain no more exists in the movie. The changes disappear into nature. The trigunas have served their purpose and they are disappearing into the Prakruthi – dissolving inot the nature. Now the atman shines forth in its own prestine nature as pure consciousness! The purusha is established in his real nature which is pure consciousenss!

I have nothing more to say except to bless you all. I bless all of you in the name of Patanjali the master who created this great science, in the name of all the great masters who kept this scienc3e alive. Let all of them be here with all of us and shower all these auspicious things. Whoever heard these sutras, these great trughts ss, whoever tried to practice them even little bit and whoever heard through people who heard let all of us experience the presence of this great naster. Let all us experi9ence the ultimate as described in these grate truths. Let us all experience the kingdom of eternal bliss Nithyananda!

Sit for few moments remembering this one truth – ss you are in your pure nature atman shining in all its glory eternal purusha. All trigunas have retunred to nature Prakruthi and you are shining in kaivalya in eternal bliss Nithyananda!

Let you all experien e powerful awakenihng and exp the kaivalya as described by P by these great sutras.

Let you all experience Patanjali’s presence by repeating this last sutra I am concluding my commentaries on PYS. Coincidentally the plce wehre P taught these sutras to his disciples in Chidambaram that place is also called Raja Sabha ☺
