Let’s enter into today’s Satsang.

23rd verse 2nd chapter of Bhagavad Gita. Name of the chapter is Sankhya Yoga.

“nainam chindanti sastrani nainam dahati pavakah na cainam kledayanty apo na sosayati marutah”

The translation - “it cannot be destroyed by weapons, fire cannot consume it, water cannot dampen it, wind cannot emaciate it”

Please understand very beautifully Krishna puts it. Earth, water, fire & air all four cannot destroy it. Only this four are known always as destroyers. Ether was never known as a destroyer. It is a space where only creation happens. “It cannot be destroyed by weapons, fire cannot consume it, water cannot dampen it, wind cannot emaciate it!” The best method of teaching evolved in Vedic Tradition. Please understand today I will reveal some of the sacred secrets the deeper insights. How our masters were teaching. Because this is the best example. When I see this verses, the flow of the Bhagavad Gita verses, I can see very clearly an intelligent King’s mental pattern. How subtle and rich we were and the evolvement we had. It’s amazing and surprising. Thousands of years ago such subtle truths our ancestors were able to grasp. Please understand it is not an easy joke to grasp this subtle level of truths and understandings. This Bhagavad Gita is a black box of Arjuna’s mind & Krishna’s mind and the pattern which was common during those days. If you understand some of the sacred secrets for the education pattern, the pattern of education, you will really be able to grasp how evolved our ancestors were – one. Second we can learn many techniques, methods, to teach, educate, impart education to the next generation.

If you just see through the verses. See we are divided of 5 layers – annamaya, pranamaya, manomaya, vijnanamaya, anandamaya. Let me describe in English.

Annamaya means the physical layer. Pranamaya is the air movement in you, prana movement, the life air, life energy, life breath movement in you that is pranamaya. Manomaya – words, thoughts in you, vijnanamaya the emotion, the intelligence the buddhi which makes decision that is vijnanamaya. Anandamaya is a pure bliss joy. All teachings need to happen to manomaya, vijnanamaya, anandamaya. Then automatically they will heal, express themselves through pranamaya and annamaya. Please understand all teachings have to be given to your mind and the higher frequency mind – that is what I call as vijnanamaya. Even the word emotion is small word. What you believe as you that is vijnanamaya. Kind of a mixture of pure consciousness and mixture of some of the ideas you have about your lower self – this two put together only you will have certain idea about you. The idea you carry about you can be considered as vijnanamaya. Anandamaya is the pure you not the idea you carry about you – the pure you. All teachings has to be given to your mind and it has to penetrate to the level of what you think as you and finally reach what is you. That what is you that area, the bliss layer that is where the explosion happens. Once the explosion happens there the pure consciousness fills all the five layers. Any philosophy will be successful philosophy only when it can penetrate all the three – your mind, your concept about you and finally you. and only if it can explode in the space you – anandamaya bliss layer, that can become a successful established philosia guiding humanity towards the higher existence, higher self, higher realizations! Unfortunately, many religions did not allow this complete penetration and explosion and expression. See after the explosion in Anandamaya the expression that is what comes down to the physical layer and life breath layer. That is what is celebrations, festivals and rituals. All rituals are consciousness expressing in physical layer, all celebrations are consciousness expressing in life breath layer – pranic layer. Any religion or philosophy does not have the possibility for all these five – penetration into mind layer, into what do you think as self - that layer and into the self itself and that explosion which happens in the self should express itself in life breath and physical layer. All religions, all philosophies, all successful ideologies, all successful theologies, all successful spiritual concepts should be able to do this penetration of five layers. Only then it can become a established spiritual tradition. Fortunately the Vedic Tradition allowed this five layer penetration again and again and again. That is why when every master happens, he create so much material it can be considered as a independent intelligent religion.

The Vedic tradition has not just given the techniques to penetrate this five layer, they have given the pattern itself. Any master can pick up the pattern, add his experience to the pattern, it will become reality. And what he teaches will become a independently intelligent tradition! It can lead people from the lowest level to the highest level independently without the help of support of direct indirect assistance of any other tradition from the same religion itself. Like whatever I am expressing, can lead the lowest person to the highest enlightenment without taking help from any other master, tradition, teaching, anything! I can say each chapter of Bhagavad Gita is an independent religion. If you practice one chapter, that is enough. From the lowest level, it can lead you to the highest form of existence. You can become enlightened without direct indirect assistance of other chapters.

Every time when I read the verse, I can see very clearly how the landing is happening. It is just like landing. Krishna is landing on Arjuna! Literally Krishna is landing on Arjuna. Frist verses he started using concepts to break Arjuna’s mental layer – mind. Then he is entering into the Arjuna’s space – what Arjuna thinks as self. Then he is entering into the Arjuna’s self itself filling Arjuna, filling Arjuna’s self. Awakening, enriching, enlightening, inspiring ultimately exploding in Arjuna’s self. What Arjuna experiences as himself. See when something goes to that level, then naturally it explodes and expresses throughout all the 5 layers as a action. Whatever expresses as overflowing from the self, will always be worshipped. When Arjuna takes a bow and puts the arrow and kills Bheeshma, he is worshipping. When Arjuna kills Drona, he is paying Guru Dakshina. Please understand, the action happening out of explosion of enlightened energy cannot be judged, looked upon, understood, interpreted, commented by an ordinary mind. If an ordinary mind tries to do anything with enlightened action, it will miss it and mess it. That is why again & again & again, religious organizations have trouble with spiritual masters. Of course spiritual masters don’t have trouble with anybody because it is very difficult to comprehend this statement. I tell you one of the most beautiful statements I have every made, the truthful statements I have ever made is this statement - this statement - when Arjuna picks up his bow and arrow, sends the arrows on Drona, kills Drona he is paying Guru dakshina! When he sends arrow, kills Bheeshma he is offering his ultimate respect. What you know as Guru dakshina, as respect, is too small concept. It is based on currency. It is based on dollars. It is based on ordinary comfort based spectrum. Please understand a man who lives in comfort based spectrum alone is a worker – 4th category nobody need to suppress him, he is suppressed by himself. In Vedic Tradition nobody has suppressed anybody. It is he who suppresses himself by himself. Please understand yesterday I was defining work-worker to my first circle. I was telling them if you plan for 20 work, imagine. And then sit and plan for 9 work against this 20. See you make 20 fantasies - imaginations. Then again, by evening you make 19 imaginations against the morning imaginations you made, finally this 19 cancels the 20 and only one is remaining. That one you make it is as a reality. Now, the work done by you is only that one which you delivered! You make 20 project plan - you fight roll, run with all that, cancel 19, finally you are delivering only one, your productivity is only one, but your ego will show the 20 which you planned – your project plan and the 19 which you cancelled, the cancelling also is one more project plan. So finally your mind will say my productivity is 20+19+1 – 40 which your ego. That is why you always become tired, finally nothing is delivered!

One dog was there. The dog was asked - aiy here is 20 balls put all this 20 balls that side of the room. That fellow slowly picks up one by one and keeps there. By the time he keeps there he does something, his own leg kicks that ball and the ball is back here. So he has done 20 but only one he is able to manage to leave it there itself. All other 19 is back here. The dog will think my productivity is 20=20 – 40, but the real productivity is only one. Man who does not see the reality, who is stuck with all his mental project plan and mental imagination and visualization thinks all that as his productivity he is caught. He is caught! He is worker. Man who lives in comfort spectrum is worker, man who lives in luxury spectrum is Vysya, man who lives in image spectrum is Kshatriya. Please understand, some time, image may not be luxury but image itself is worse than a luxury. See for some people lying down in a big bed having 10 cars is luxury. That is what they like. For some people, having a image in the public - he is a very simple man, he sleeps on the ground, travels in 3rd class compartment this image itself is a luxury I can say much worst than luxury. See when you carry this image certain reverence and respect is expressing from every eyes that looks on you. They all look upon you as an ideal figure. It is such a subtle juicy ego expansion! I tell you this can become a worst addiction. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of people being addicted to image. They bear with anything, tolerate anything for what? Image! It is an addiction. Man who lives in the image spectrum is a Kshatriya. Man who lives in the spectrum of the pure self is Brahmana – enlightened being. It has nothing to do with birth. It has something to do with the cognition from which you express your actions. How you take cognizance of you, world and how you act. You can sit and actually I can prepare a questionnaire just 100 questions and tell you very clearly you are a Brahmana, or Vysya, or Kshatriya or 4th category or 5th category. I can tell you very clearly. I hope in future we will have this kind of community census than based on your birth. This kind of community census will create Bharath Vedic Bharat!

Here, very beautifully Krishna is taking Arjuna step by step. Literally Krishna is landing Arjuna…after all Arjuna has to rule the kingdom after the victory. So he has to be a teacher also. All the programs should have this pattern. First you touch the mind means you give certain scientific facts & figures which is like a strong dose for all the common logic thick skin. Then you don’t need to be scientific but you need to be logical that is the 2nd level. Please understand first you need to be only scientific break brutally break the mind – come on, here I am challenging you, I am right you are wrong.! Here are the recorded evidence based on the common skills accepted by you, me & the world – non-controversial based scale. First that is the way you will enter into their mind. Next entering into the idea they carry about themselves – vijnanamaya kosha – there it needs to be more logical and certain level of friendliness the attitude of fighting can be dropped. More suggestions, friendly teachings, friendly expressions. Then, after you touch the level of the self - pure self, the bliss layer, by that time you would have already established a strong feeling connection, friendliness with your student or a disciple. Then all you need to do is reveal the sacred secrets. Then it will be more like a giving tips. If you mix this powder and that powder and add lime juice & apply on your face when you lie down in the night time, next day morning your face will be shining. Nobody is going to logically analyze it, nobody is going to scientifically verify it. It’s like a tips you gave, I give. Because you look bright, maybe it will work on me. It’s more friendly tips the deeper connection. Only the deeper connection can create the space where the very casual tips are shared. That is what I call sacred secrets. I can say very beautifully Krishna has done this job here. He hits by the Sankhya yoga – Sankhya is the science of those days, most evolved science of those days. He hits Arjuna by Sankhya, then, expresses logic, now he comes to the depth of revealing sacred secrets – aiy! Weapons do not kill it. It can’t be destroyed, fire cannot consume it, water cannot dampen it, wind cannot emaciate it, what are you doing, relax!

By the end of your session, only if there is a strong friendliness established between you and your student you thought properly. If there is a feeling connection established, not only you taught, you learnt properly. All disciples are Gurus for Gurus at some moment. All Gurus are disciples for their disciples at some moment. I have learnt many things which I should not do from my disciples. Some times they teach what to do and some times they teach what not to do. But whatever it may be, you learn. By the end of the session or a class or a program there should neither be aggression in you nor the aggression in them. the person who is listening should become completely empty as if ready to listen every word drops out of your mouth. And the person who is talking should be enjoying the silence between every word! Then anything you may be teaching, you are a successful teacher! If you can make this happen by the end of the class or a session, the disciple who is listening is completely passive, no aggression, is not sleeping. I don’t mean sleepy, no. no aggression. He is completely receptive and he is almost like drinking your words, not chewing – no, drinking your words and its flowing, flowing, flowing. He is enjoying every word falling on him and the teacher is enjoying the silence – gap between every word, then perfect transmission of knowledge is happening. Whether you teach mathematics, science, geography, history or enlightenment. Whether it is the science of how to kill or how to give life, whether it is art of killing or art of giving life to people or art of leaving or art of creating, whether it is shraaddha or eNpregnancy, this is the rule. Whether you are teaching, how to give shraaddha or how to give birth to a baby this is the rule. Krishna is giving a beautiful pattern of teaching. That is why I say he is Jagath Guru! I wanted all our courses to be in this pattern. See in the modern day the Sankhya is science – statistics, double blind study, number, fact, accredited people’s certification. So any of the introduction or a course or a program or a session or a Satsang or even personal meeting to introduce us or our mission should start with modern day Sankhya Yoga - science. The researches, studies we have done on various useful, productive, creative things to human beings like Kundalini awakening, materialization, various scientific researches, documentations we did with accredited valid people. I wanted all of you to know, just few days before we received the research report we did in one of the largest diagnostic laboratory chain in Bharat most popular and largest diagnostic laboratory chain in Bharat. We went to their lab and did a CT scan and did some researches on materialization. The reports have come. It says very clearly solid proof of object appearing – the person who receives receiver. First the CT scan they have done no object is seen and the report says without delaying or repositioning, again when the CT scan is done, the material has appeared. It is a big success! First time in a controlled condition, scientific environment, the materialization is getting recorded. I am waiting for some more researches to be done. And I wanted to do some more research. Still some more questions I want to answer. When people ask when we bring this to common man, people may ask many questions. So I am collecting answers for those questions. Then we will release it to the whole world.

Anyhow, as on now so many researches we have done. So this should be the first opening – accredited scientific studies and researches – that should be the opening in any filed. Whether you are going to talk about enlightenment or our teachings about health, our teachings about mental health first opening should be the scientific researches and studies we have done. Then next should be telling right stories, jokes, logically presenting the theory we are proposing. For example, the line of physical health we propose – aiy, if you do this yoga, or this kriya or this meditation you will have this health benefit. The moment we open we should present a scientific study or research done for that concept by us. That should be opening. Next should be putting it with lot of stories and jokes and logically sending that concept to the person. 3rd one should be by the time you reach the 3rd level there should be a strong friendly trust feeling connection should be there between speaker and listener, Guru & disciple, teacher and student. And the end should be with the tips to get best out of this whole program, this whole session. Meditation, kriya, yoga everything should be taught in that synchronicity. By the time you come to the technique, meditation, Kriya, Yoga, process already you should have established a strong feeling connection, friendliness, trust. Then all method of teaching, all subject you are teaching, will become successful. Any method you use – you may use Internet, you may use books, you may use direct classes, any method you may use, it will be successful. Even book should be written only in this line. All sessions should be designed in this line. I can say this is the pattern of Sri Krishna. Krishna’s pattern of teaching – most successful, most powerful, fool proof time tested method of teaching.

Every word Krishna is uttering he knows the side effect and after effect of those words. You should be very careful when you utter the words even when you reveal sacred secrets. Otherwise sometime the sacred secrets you reveal can put yourself in a problem, in a mess!

Small story - one man is supposed to inherit a furniture factory from his sickly widower father and he thinks he need to get married. He needed a woman to enjoy the whole wealth. Now he is single he wants to get married to enjoy the whole thing. So he goes to the singles bar and he spotted a woman whose beauty took his breath away. And he goes to her and proposes – see I am only an ordinary man. But in just a week or two, my father will die, I will inherit 20 million dollar business. The woman goes home with this guy and the next day she becomes his step mother! Understand some times the secrets you reveal can put you in trouble! ☺

Krishna knows the side effect & after effect of every word he is uttering. Now Krishna is moving in the space of jokes and stories and examples with Arjuna. He has finished the part of science. That is why he is giving casual examples – aiy weapon cannot destroy it, fire cannot consume it, water cannot dampen it, wind cannot emaciate it. He is poetic. He knows already he has broken the ice. He has broken the strict logic of Arjuna. Now he has the time to breathe, he can sing songs, poetry, give examples because ether is always considered as too subtle and cannot be considered for destruction, he does not touch ether. He uses fire, earth, water and air - all four elements. He says all the four cannot kill you, cannot disturb the atman, cannot disturb the soul.

Lets enter into the next verse what Krishna has to say to Arjuna. 24th verse in the 2nd chapter Sankhya Yoga –

“acchedyo 'yam adahyo 'yam akledyo 'sosya eva ca nityah sarva-gatah sthanur acalo 'yam sanatanah”

“Translation – it cannot be annihilated, cannot be scorched, cannot be dampened, nor can it be withered. It is eternal, omni potent, firm, steady & ancient!”

Again Krishna is using the word Nithya in this verse. I think this is antidote for the svajanam, svajanam, svajanam! Like Arjuna, Arjuna is singing the song svajanam, svajanam, svajanam - my people, my people. Krishna is singing the song Nithyam, Nithyam, Nithyam – eternal, eternal, eternal!

See usually certain word is used again & again & again if you want to emphasize on that concept. If you want to emphasize on certain concept, you repeat that. And one more thing, if you are unconsciously stuck with that idea you go on repeating it. With Arjuna, he is stuck with that idea. He goes on repeating it. Ramakrishna says if you eat radish to much, when you bulge, when you yawn only that smell will come out. Same way Arjuna is filled too much with the concept of svajanam – my people, my people, my people. So he is again & again uttering the word svajanam, svajanam, svajanam.

I think Krishna is filled with the truth, with the concept of eternal – Nithyam. That is why he is constantly using the word Nithya, Nithya, Nithya.

Recently I read a article which was talking about the name of the deities in different temples. It is a beautiful article. In Madhurai, Devi is called only as Maatangi. See the some names become popular in course of time, but the deity is worshipped with certain name. I may call it official name or legal name. In Arunachaleshwara temple, Arunachaleshwara that name is popular. Popularly Shiva is called as Arunachaleshwara in Tiruvanamalai. But the official name of the deity is Arunagiri Yogishwara. In all the rituals and pooja, the priest only utter the name – Arunagiri Yogishwara vijayathe! Arunagiri Yogi vijayathe, Arunagiri Yogi igagacha, igagacha, igatishta, igatishta. All prana pratishta all rituals are done with official name Arunagiri Yogi. Of course when they do Archana they chant all the names – Shivaya namaha, atmaya namaha, atma lingaya namaha, Arunachaleshwaraya namaha – like this all the names are used that is different. But officially the name used for the rituals is Arunagiri Yogi. Same way the Madhurai temple they use the word Maatangi. In Tiruchi there is a temple, Shiva temple - they use the name Matrubhoodeshwara Swamy. It is called taayimanavare in Tamil that name is well known but the official name is Matrubhoodeshwara. So each temple has a official name. I discovered through that article, that in Kasi, Vishwanatha, Varanasi, the official name of Shiva is Nithyananda. ☺ They use the word Nithyananda! In Rudram, when they chant Rudram only in Varanasi they add the word Nithyanandaya. So if somebody has learnt Sanskrit from Varanasi, when they chant Rudram always the word Nithyananda will be there. That is the pada bhetha. You can find out very clearly whether they learnt Sanskrit from Varanasi or south Bharat. In South Bharat they don’t use that name. In Varanasi always the Rudram is chanted with the word ‘Nithaynanda’ in the center – in the center of the Rudram. If you divide the Rudram into half, half, the center word is Nithyananda. And another one I don’t know whether coincidence of whatever you may call it - the Beejakshara used in Vishwanatha puja, in Kasi Vishwanatha pooja – that is the most surprising coincidence. See each deity has a Beejakshara. For Ganapati they use “Om gam Ganapataye namaha!” so for Subramanya they use “om saum Subramanyaya namaha.” Even for Surya they use the beeja “saum.” For kali they use the beeja “kleem.” So each deity they use certain beeja. So I was surprised to find Vishwanatha is worshiped with the beeja exactly “om hreem!” So when you say “om hreem nithayanandaya namaha” you invoke directly Vishwanatha! – it is exactly Vishwanatha’s beeja! That is the beeja with which Vishwanatha is worshipped in Varanasi officially. I was surprised because I saw this mantra in the vision, I did not create it. I wanted to be very clear. See these things are like a guidance for millions and billions of people. I don’t want to do all that with my mind or logic. I thought if it happens from the existence let it happen so that it can lead people and lead them to higher existence because the mantra, paaduka all these things are independent of me. Please understand – paadukas, name of the master, form of the master – once the picture is taken, photo is taken, printed, it is independent of me. Once the statue is installed which represents it is independent of me. After that, honey may come from it or vibhooti may come from it, kukum may come from it. Just yesterday we found out from Ashram from one of my picture in the guest house, from the picture the diamond has fallen, it started materializing - from the photograph! So it is independent of me. I told them to find out which room, which photograph, it is like a who was worshipping it and getting all those details. It is independent of me. That is the reason, once energized even I respect that completely. In my room one corner my photo was kept. When I was walking, my feet touched it. I immediately touched that photo and respected it and asked for apology. My disciple he asked me what is this Swamiji? your own photo! I said no, yesterday I already energized it. Now the prana pratishta is done. Once the prana pratishta is done, it is independent of me. Even I should respect it - whether it is a stone or photo or paaduka or mantra, once it is given, it is independent of me. That is why I did not create this mantra. I waited for it to happen. It happened. Now I am discovering it happened properly! ☺ I need to tell you one more thing first time I ever heard this word and it clicked with me in Varanasi! After my death experience, when I went to Varanasi temple and did abhishekam and I was sitting listening to the Rudram, that’s the time this word has clicked in me and started ringing in me continuously. Then after that when I had the darshan of Mahavatar Baba, this very name was given to me by him! I can say Shiva, Vishwanatha gave that name that’s why it started ringing in my ears, my being continuously. Because after the death experience I felt empty. I did not have any name. So Vishwanatha gave and Mahatavar Baba confirmed it. Even when this mantra happened with beeja, I did not create it, it just happened. The word Nithya is again & again used in this chapter. I don’t know how many times. Krishna is saying,

“it cannot be annihilated, cannot be scorched, cannot be dampened, nor can it be withered. It is eternal, omni present, firm, steady & ancient!”

I can say the most unique concept of Hinduism, the ultimate truth delivered through words through the Vedic tradition is this truth! No other religion has gone to this heights. I can say I am proud I am from Vedic Tradition just for this one word, one verse! Brihadaranyaka Upanishad also expresses this concept very beautifully -

“Yath prativyaam dishtaan prativya antaraha yo apsyutishtaan nabhyo antaraha yo annau dishtaan agnir antaraha yo antarikshe dishtaan antarikshadantaraha yo vaayou dishtaan vayou antaraha”

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad – in the 3rd chapter, 7th canto, 3rd,4th ,5th ,6th ,7th slokas

“He who dwells in earth but is within it, he who dwells in water but is within it, he who dwells in fire but is within it, he who dwells in the sky but is within it, he who dwells in the air but is within it. Being the controller of all is not subject to their actions”

Eternal – please understand when you listen these words, don’t think how this is going to help me in my life? It is after all words. No. Sit and just contemplate at that one word. Something is in me which is eternal – Oh God! then I am holding the thread of the eternal. I can just catch this thread and reach that. I don’t need to be afraid of death. I don’t need to be suffering with all this! I am holding the thread of eternal - just sit with this one truth. There is something in me which is eternal. There is something in me which is eternal. I tell you your bank balance will increase! When you remember there is something in you which is eternal the tremendous joy, confidence, courage you experience even your work will become perfect. Not just your health and mental health, even your work will become perfect. Your bank balance will increase. Sit with this one truth. There is something eternal in me. What is it? How can I catch it?
