Q: The clear individual path. How to cooperate with the Enlightened Beings who come here to liberate us?

SWAMIJI: Actually, you don’t even need to cooperate. If you try to cooperate with your mind, you will create more problems. Don’t cooperate; Just be. Neither create disturbance consciously nor try to cooperate. Even your trying to cooperate, you will create disturbance. When you are in the Presence, just be. Do not decide, ‘I should cooperate. I should be doing this, I should be doing that,’ no. And do not decide, ‘I’ll do that’...Actually in the name of cooperating, you will do something out of over enthusiasm and will be disturbing your own things.

I always tell people, just be available, open, be in the present moment. I can give you one small scale to find out whether you are open or not. If you can see very clearly your TPS - thought per second is less, it is dropping drastically the moment Master enters inside the space where you are. Inside that katakasha, the moment Master enters, if you feel the TPS is drastically dropping, you are open. You are neither trying to distract nor trying to cooperate, you are open. This is the scale with which you can measure. If that is happening already in you, beautiful, you are cooperating, relax. If it is not happening, just try to relax without trying to cooperate.

Again here, some question about healing. Healing can take time and how long? So please in the Energy Darshan you can ask. Seeing the disease and the person, only the healing is decided. You see, understand, how the healing happens you know, when really some clicks happen with the Master. Usually the click will happen, if you are intellect based person, listening to the great life solutions and understandings from the Master, the click will happen. If you are very gross, innocent, simple kind of a being, just even seeing the graceful form of the Master, the click will happen.

I have seen, especially in Bharatn villages, neither they know how to read or write nor they heard my discourses, just photograph, that’s all, just form, the moorthi, that’s all, nothing else is required. Already they are in tune, already they are in tune. There was a question in the conversation by one of our disciple. There is a photograph called Varadamuthy, one of My photograph specially named and, in Bharat many places they keep that photo and do the puja or prayer or whatever it is and, get healed or blessed and so many things. But an intellectual guy, who has seen this, he went to Bharat and he saw two-three places this happening. He is not able to digest. He had so much of anger and vengeance, arrogance. He is asking Me, ‘How can you promote this? How can you accept this?’ Of Course, first of all, I never promoted or I did not promote.’ How can you accept this, your photo being worshipped?’

I told him, ‘Two things. first thing, they are getting helped and they are doing. Why are you having so much of anger? Second thing, look deeply inside. It is jealous. You wanted this kind of respects always in your life. You are not having or you are not able to get. So naturally you are feeling jealous when somebody else is respected, when somebody else is so much respected or given the devotion. Third important thing, understand, there are kind of people still in the Planet Earth who are simple, basically centered on their heart, who can really feel connected just even with the form. The other day, one of our devotee was telling, in Mexico she went around spreading the meditation. She says that, ‘All I need to do is just show the photograph, Swamiji,’ and people feel connected.’ 33% of humanity is still heart centered. Fortunately, that is why Planet Earth is still alive. Understand, that is why Planet Earth is still alive.

Bhagavatham says beautifully it is for bhaktas, Bhagavan keep Jagat alive. For the sake of devotees who are centered on the heart, Lord keeps the Planet alive. When I say bhaktas, devotees, I don’t say devotees of one God or one Guru, whoever lives on the heart, based on the heart, whoever can feel connected just through the heart, who does not need the intellectual jugglery or the intellectual candy. 33% of the people live on the heart. For them, just the form is enough, nothing else is required. And the other 33%, they may need some intellectual connection, the click. Apart from the form, they need some intellectual clarity, some understanding and the other 33%, hard nuts to crack. You need to show them something solid, vivid, gross miracles. So which level you are, based on that only, the healing starts happening, healing starts happening.

That same guy who was questioning Me, he was not able to be convinced with My answer. He said, ‘I think it is just a placebo effect.’ I said, ‘Do not use the word just the placebo effect. Placebo effect is not ordinary thing.’ We need to understand the word placebo effect. Placebo effect means what? The doctor gives something which is not a medicine to the person. The doctor and patient both of them do not know it is not a medicine. Both of them believe it is a medicine. Patient gets healed, understand! If he takes the medicine, what physical effects will happen in him, what chemical changes will happen in him, the same thing happens without him taking the medicine, just the color water or just some ordinary things. It means what? Your mind is capable enough to do the same chemical changes without the medicine being added into your system, that’s all. It means your mind is capable, you are not aware of your potentiality.

So Enlightened beings are the people who happened to help those few 33% directly. See, 33% of the people get healed by placebo effect. Any medicine, anything is okay, they will get healed and if you are in that 33%, feel blessed. You have intelligence, your automatic intelligence to get healed is still alive. You have not yet become complete bio-mechanism.

I always tell people, who can heal themself with the placebo medicines, they are living in heart, they are living based on the heart. So understand, placebo effect is not an ordinary thing, it is not normal thing. So if they are praying and getting healed, means whatever it may be, the effect is happening. So it should be respected with 33%. One more thing, in medical field, if 33% of development you can show, it is accepted as a medicine. In many department, many field, it’s accepted as a medicine. If somebody can show 33% of reduction in cholesterol, some chemical, some medicine, it is accepted as medicine. So placebo effect has to be accepted as an important thing in the field of healing, in the field of transformation, whether physical health or mental health. When you add physical health and mental health both, you can use the word, broad word- transformation.

So understand, there are some people who are based on the heart. For them, just form is enough. There are some people who are based on the head. For them, the intellectual click is needed. There are some people, very hard nut. They have to see miracles happening in the next person’s life or in their own life.

There are some people, I think unique category, even if it happens in front of their own eyes in their own life, difficult to grasp. I think we will forget about them. That crowd neither you can help nor I can help, even God can’t help, nobody can help. If God comes down and knocks at their home, he will open the door and ask, ‘From which drama studio you got all this make up?’ If he says, ‘No, I am God, I am Shiva, I have come down to bless you.’ ‘Do you have any ID Card?’ So, forget about other guys.

Healing happens when the click happens. So, I will be able to tell only the time of the healing, only when I see the person directly. Because only when I see the person, I can tell whether the click has happened or not, whether the relationship has happened or not. If the click or the relationship has happened, the healing is nothing, it is a simple experience. I have always seen. For miracles to happen, both sides' hands needs to be extended. If somebody has to be saved, not only Me, he also has to extend, stretch your hands, stretch his hands so that I can lift, I can lift.

It was very intimate conversation with one of My close disciple who travels with Me. He asked Me once, ‘Swamiji, whenever I come and tell you this person is sick and they informed, they requested your healing, sometime you say he will be healed, tell them. Sometime you say don’t tell anything, just leave it, what it means?’ I said, ‘If I say don’t tell anything means ‘that’s all, relax’, just console. Tell that person to face the reality.’ He asked Me,’ I have seen, whenever a request comes through a particular devotee, you always say, ‘He will be healed, tell them.’ Whenever a request comes through few people, you always say, ‘I will meditate or pray for them, tell them to be patient.’ Why? How the person who is informing you is involved? I told him, ‘Understand, not only the person who is informing, even the person who is feeling sick is directly involved in healing. It depends on both the factors. I may extend My hand, I may stretch My hand but if that person is just saying’ take care of me, lift me,’ what can I do? He needs to extend his hand.

There is a beautiful story. In Mahabharata, it is actually related even to today’s Sutra. Draupadi, queen of Pandavas. She actually was abused in the court of Kauravas. The Kauravas court she was brought and she was undressed in public, which is the worst abusal, worst form of abusal. And the story says, she shouted ‘Krishna, Govinda, Gopala, Madhava, Madhusudana’, holding the cloth she shouted. Krishna never appeared, never came. At last she just threw her hands open and shouted ‘Krishna’ and immediately the story says not only the cloth came and Krishna appeared and she was saved, protected. Later on Draupadi asks, ‘What happened to you? Why it took such a long time for you to come and take care of me?’ Then Krishna says, ‘No, for quite a long time, you were trying to protect yourself. Even though you were calling Me, you were calling Me only as a security signature. You were calling Me only for security signature.’ In the bank account, when you ask for loan, you ask for security signature.’ You were expecting Me only to do the role of the security signature, not the protection. You were thinking you will manage, when you can’t, you can have My help also.’ But the ultimate miracles does not happen in that language, in that inner space. It only happens with deep surrender. When I saw you completely open and surrendered, then I had to come, I have to appear there, and I have to take care.’

So, too many things are involved in healing and miracle. There is no logical line. That is why even though millions of miracles happened, still the spiritual healing is never become a mainstream healthcare item, because it involves both side, it involves both side. With the regular medical, traditional medical care, you don’t need the cooperation from the other side. Here you need the cooperation from the other side. The moment you ask these questions, there are so many questions, healing, how long, takes time and all those things, be very clear, the click has not happened. So, I don’t know about the time.
