Q: Swamiji, are scandals always bad for the society? A: Surely, because it is a scandal. Because it is a scandal. Scandals make people more and more hypocritical. See even in my case, everybody knows from the beginning, I was a Paramahamsa. I was living as a Paramahamsa. And always I was wearing all color clothes - white, yellow all colors. Because I liked this color, I was using this color also orange also. All colors I was wearing. Everybody knows I am a Paramahamsa - means beyond the brahmachari, grihastha, vanaprastha, and sannyasi.

Everybody knows I was living beyond rules and regulations. I was living simply, happily, blissfully. I never harmed anybody. I had my own set of rules and regulations. Neither I do anything illegal nor I harm anybody.

I live my own happy life. I was a simple being doing my own spiritual researches. Whatever experience I had reproducing it on people. But suddenly you see people wanted to create a scandal around me, they first put me in a kind of an image, frame. They themself put a frame then they say I am not obeying, falling into that frame and create more and more rumors, ideas, lies and what not. All kinds of things.

# Media and it’s sensationalism. Sending an elephant to kill an ant.

See, one thing once you tell some lies and create a sensationalistic thing and spread it just to defend you need to go on adding more and more and more lies. That is what is being done by media. They are just going on adding more and more and more, because they need to stand and prove what they are saying is right. So this way they try to create public opinion. And naturally public opinion affects the other fields, everybody. So they try to….This is what is called media trial - doing trial through media itself. And all kinds of their ideas they create and vomit and put it on people. I was leading such a simple humble life, happily sharing my truths and experience with few people. I was surprised that to destroy me such a big weapon is used. It is almost like a elephant is used to kill a small ant. And ok ok …. What is there? That is the way, that is the way the unconscious mass behaves.

# People always abuse the masters when masters happen on Planet earth

And always whenever a Master happens on planet earth, this always happens. Hundreds of articles were written about Vivekananda when he was alive, negatively about him all over the world creating enough of problem for him. Same way when Ramakrishna was alive the same thing, so much of abusal was done about him spreading wrong news, rumors and lies. And same way about all the masters when they are in the body. This is done.

# General public - how they should behave in the face of scandals

Q Anyhow, how should the general public react in the face of such juicy scandals. A: General public should have the individual conscious awakening, the individual clarity and should look into the things. More clarity…. First thing, ‘Is it true? How it is getting presented?’ Second thing, ‘It is somebody’s personal life. What is there for me? Why should we abuse somebody so much? It is about their personal life.’

# Enjoying other’s pain creates a pain body in you which is your own hell

So the individuals need to act more intelligently and does not encourage and entertain these kind of juicy scandals. Because if you go on eating these kinds of negative, juicy scandals and lies and rumors, you will create a very pathetic personality, psychologically ill personality, which is which will be a pain body for you own being. So whoever enjoys the rumors and lies and scandals about others will be carrying the pain body inside them continuously suffering. That is hell for them. They don’t need a separate punishment. So better stop enjoying other’s pains. You will not create a pain body in you, which in turn constantly creates pain in you.

# Media does have some responsible and beautiful people

Q: Do media really know their responsibility in the face of scandals? What should their role be? A: I really see many responsible medias like a ZEE news, Sahara. So many responsible media. They are very straight about getting the fact, analyzing and presenting it. They are not interested in TRP just by creating lies and scandals and rumors. Very responsible media. I am seeing many responsible media – many beautiful people.

One thing I can share with you. This all these things happened has shown me many beautiful, good people in the society. Many very good people who are running media, who are in the media and very good responsible people in the field of writing, in the field of spirituality, in the field of politics, in the field of society. Many responsible people.

Some people are caught in these scandals, some people are using these scandals, some are trying to grab the properties, some are trying to grab the wealth, some are trying to grab the disciples…. It is like a… if some house is burning whatever you can take it, snatch it. That is profit for you. Anyhow…..

# Some media has lost it’s credibility due to constant focus on rumors, lies, twisted truths

So, I am seeing really responsible media. I am seeing the other side also. Huge, huge part of society does not believe in media. Many, many medias have lost their credibility by doing this kind of job continuously. So they lost their credibility. I could see lot of people have started thinking individually. So one side I am seeing lot of people are thinking individually and independently. The other side, people who are not doing that we need to help them to do that - thinking individually and independently. That’s all.
