Today we will have a deeper process on the same truth – conflict free life. This sutra is all about this.

Anithya, Asuchi, dukkha, anaatmasu, nithya, suchi, Sukkha, atma khyadihi avidya

Whenever I read a Sanskrit sloka and see the translation next to it, I always feel Oh god! Diamond is studded by copper. Each word is like a diamond and the translation available next to it is like a lead.

Sanskrit is created to express the great spiritual truths. So any language you try to translate it with is like studding lead over a diamond.

Vivekananda: Ignorance is to take the non-eternal, for what is the pure, atman

Satchitananda: Ignorance is regarding the impermanent as permanent, impure as pure, …

Dwivedi: Ignorance is taking the non eternal as..

Prabhavananda: To regard non-eternal as eternal, impure as pure….this is ignorance

How is the truth of conflict free life connected to this? As I said, conflict has no life. Anything that has life has no conflict. Then why are feeling conflict filled life. Especially when you come to the master you will fall into conflicts because he has to make you realize that you are conflict free.

When outer world put you in conflict, you fall more and more into it. When master puts you into it, he makes you go beyond it.

If you are blessed enuf to be around the master, and he creates conflict..that is the greatest conflict. Just stand by him. He will make you understand that whatever creates conflict in you has no life. You have fear that it may have life. Maybe it has few years of life. Nothing. It simply has no life. Depression, fear of your own image – everything has no life. When you think conflict as life, you are doing the mistake of avidya.

The word ‘Nithya’ is not opposite of anithya. Nithya is beyond anithya. Conflict free life is not opp. To confict filled life. If you think they are opp to each other, then conflict free life itself has a conflict!

For eg. You have a conflict filled life. You achieve conflict free life. Then you may have a conflict that conflict filled life may come back. That is why, conflict free life is beyond conflict filled life. So nithya is beyond anithya. Duality – dvaita – the opp to dvaita is not advaita. It is ekatya.

In the Ganga, there is a bamboo floating. With it as reference, you can say right side Ganga, left side ganga. If the bamboo is lifted, can you say it is one ganga////? No. You just have to say Ganga! That’s all.

Nithya is not opposite to anithya. When the anithya has become non-existent, evaporated, what is is nithya. The word nithya is like a finger pointing to the moon. It is not the moon itself. Moon means – it is a planet in the solar family. Then you can say, this is a description of that graha. But if there is a finger pointing to the moon, can it be the moon?

So, when I say anithya, it is not description of the state, but it is a finger pointing to the state. Same with nithya. Anithya is used to describe certain space that we know. But nithya is not used to describe certain space. It is only used as a finger pointing to a certain experience. You need to look for that exp. How to look? Any word which a master utters is a technique to look.

No tradition can capture the beauty of the path so beautifully like Zen. The largest literature available about the path is zen. Patanjali is quick. He has done great service for quick runners. But zen has done great service to connect with people living around a live master!

If you are not fortunate enuf to have connection with a living master. Not fortunate enuf to have spouse also to be connected with a living master, then Patanjali is the master – he gives you an instant path. But if you are fortunate enuf to be connected to a live master, and to live around him, zen is the path!.

10 zen stories – it is actually 10 zen paintings – about finding the lost bull. I will speak on those stories. Zen has beautiful stories about diff between conflict filled life and conflict free life. The anithya and nithya. Just this one word – nithya, I can go on expressing what they explain in each tradition. Very beautiful zen story. One child maybe 10 or 11 year old child was bought up by the zen master personally. Fortunate are the kids who have the fortune to be around the master and ability to hold on to that connection. This child was brought up by the zen master. The child was so enchanted by the master’s behavior. Whenever he has time, he would imitate the master. The master had a unique gesture – of showing his thumb! (Blessed are those who tease master and when teased by someone he takes it lightly)

One day this master was taking an intense process. He was delivering a maha vaakya very seriously and intensely. The moment he gave the maha vaakya, he put his thumbs up. The child who was standing behind the master, also did the same gesture. All the buddhas are deeply engrossed in the zen master. Some of them were stifling a laughter…some got distracted. The master turned and cut off the thumb of the child. The child was so deeply connected to the master, such strong trust with the master, the child got that if he does it, it must be good for me. When the finger fell, his ego fell and he got enlightened! The ability to stand with the master….unimaginable! They rushed him for medical assistance. The next day, 10k sanyasis were assembled and asked master – he got enlightened, we are happy but he lost his finger. Master said, ppl lose lives for enlightenment – a finger is worthy!

I want ppl to know the dedication, pre-requisite for enlightenment. The child knows whatever can create conflict in him has no life. Whatever has conflict has no life. If master infuses any conflict then it means that he is pulling you out of it and pushes you beyond. SO If master is doing this with you, just jump! Or you will have to carry on and on and on for janmas. Unfortunately, when they don’t jump, the world gives you exactly diff things which create the same conflict in you. Then when you come back to the master, he will accept you. But with a time delay he will work on you once again.

Master says very beautifully – the childs ability to take the opportunity of conflict inflicted by conflict inflcted directly b y the master, he shows you the conflict from which you are constantly suffering, which will take janmas for you to jump. Sometimes, many kids take birth to our devotees just to be around me.

Whenever master inflicts conflict in you, he invokes conflict in you, take that opportunity to jump and get to conflict free life. Nithya is about anithya and non-anithya. It is the word used to describe like a finget pointing to the moon. Anithya is the exp, nithya is the finger pointing to the moon. Then, realize that it is pointing to the moon and see the moon. Do not hold the finger.

Thinking anithya is nithya is conflict. Thinking life has conflict and conflict has life is ignorance. If you have any conflict internally, remember very clearly it has no life. Wether it is fear, anger, lust, greed, anything – if it is conflict, it has no life. So anything which has life has no conflict. Thinking anithya as nithya is ignorance.

The second step asuchi as suchi. This word asuchi needs to be understood. Impure. Pl understand, impure is not just physical, it is alos mental. Unfortunately impurity will not even let you know that it exists when it is in the mind. When you have impure logic

How to find out if you have impure or pure logic? Initiation of the master is enuf. But when you suspect the masters initiation, nothing can be done.

You logic is alrdy so chaotic. That’s why, no book, no word, no ordinary lectures, can lead you to the purity. It is simply the intiation by the master. That is the scale to measure the purity.

Asuchi – the impurity in your mind, logic, decision making – taking impure logic as purity. If your logic says you have suffering and fear. If your master says go into it, Listen to the master and walk thru it, you will know that conflict will have no life.

Conflict has no life. My experience has an authenticity of experience itself! My teachings have an authenticity of social experience. So your logic cannot oppose at all. It will have to shut all holes and go thru the process. Even if you do all possible mistakes in your life, you cannot still see 1%of the abuse I went thru! I

That is why I tell you there is no conflict in life and life has no conflict. So I tell you drop impure logic and hold pure logic. The master is a purest form of logic.

Sometimes, you should understand this story. Sikhandi was asked by Krishna to stand in the front and put arrows on bheeshma. For a moment sikahdi thot – bheeshma did no wrong to me then why is Krishna asking me to do this? But only Krishna knows that his accumulated karma will go off only if he fights with dheera. Sikhandi and arjuna were Caught in impure logice. Finally, when bheeshma also fell, sikhandi was

Sikhandi gathers the truth based on what he finds out. But when Krishna knows sikdhandi more than what sikhandhi knows about himself. Impure logic means making decisions about what you know about you. Pure logic is making decisions about what your master knows as you.

Anatma – mistaking non-soul as soul. Anaatma is atma.

If you think conflict is life, how can life be respected as life then?

If you can be bound, you canot be liberated. If you are libertated, how can you be bound. Don’t think life has com.

I WILL EXPLAIN THE DUKKHA AND SUKHA. How each of them was mistaken for wrong meanings.

Mistaking non eternal as eternal, impure as pure, non self as self, suffering as joy is ignorance. Solution is choose a conflict free life. Mistaking conflict is life and life as conflict is ignorance.

Let you all have conflict free life!
