“Ramakrishna speaks about this Great Swan.”
Ramakrishna speaks about this Great Swan. Just day before yesterday, I saw a Great Swan flying in the Himalayas. Before… Yesterday we went to Kedarnath, day before yesterday we were in… the… Sitapur; travelling, evening about to reach Sitapur, that time but by that time I turned and wanted to call the… this Swamis who was sitting with Me, call this first number bus guys, by that time it is not there; then I decided I think these fellows can’t see. I put My head down, relaxed; again I was seeing; three times. I just slowly raised the head, turned to call these guys without losing the eye sight where that fellow is flying, because, such a height a single bird cannot be flying. The moment I saw I found out, “Arey this is Paramahamsa. This is Great Swan. This is Paramahamsa”. By that time I turned to call these fellows, it’s not there; three times; then I decided I think these fellows can’t see by the ordinary eyes, maybe… maybe it won’t be seen by the ordinary eyes. I just stopped trying to call these guys then at least half an hour it was in My vision, half an hour it was there physically.
You see the Great Swans are like the enlightened Masters who take this body… the bird’s body just to go around and see their territory. Anyhow Ramakrishna speaks about this Great Swan. It is supposed to be the metaphysical bird seen only by enlightened eyes or the people who are living in the high consciousness. Of course only if you are enlightened you will be able to stay in the high consciousness that is different. This bird, it will lay the egg. In 40% distance itself, it will hatch. 60% distance it will grow wings. Before touching the ground, by 90% distance it will just take off and fly back. It will never touch the ground. It will never touch the planet Earth.
When the reflection of the Swan falls on lakes, or the ocean, or river. When the reflection falls on the lake, all the fishes in the lake starts jumping, “Oh some new fish has come, big fish has come”. They all start jumping on that reflection and start playing with it.
Some fishes jump this way, some fishes jump this way, some fishes jump that way.
Some fishes are thinking, “Oh what a beautiful fish, what wonderful fish and they try to jump this way and that way”.
Some fishes start calling other fishes, “Eh come, come, come quick, come quickly and come and see this fish, beautiful fish, big fish, pretty fish”. Whatever you want to call.
Some fishes will start even putting fence, “Aye only we can go near this fish quickly. You guys have to come....Yes”. And some fishes which jumps this way will feel that Swan is... that fish is hugging them. They will go and write the reminiscence, “Oh this fish is so great, is so loving, radiating compassion, amazing love and compassion.
Some fishes which will jump this way, they will feel as if that Swan is kicking them out, that reflection is kicking them out, “No, no, no, no, no, this fish is arrogant, this is not so loving as these fellows told me. In books I read it was very loving and compassionate and I went there but that swan... the reflection was shouting. It is not as compassionate as these fellows say”.
Some fishes will go out and write, “No, no, no, no, no, it is not... it is very arrogant, condescending” and whatever they feel like, those fishes feel like.
There are some intelligent fishes which will think, “No this does not seem to be a fish, seems to be something else”. Those fishes are called devotees.
Very few intelligent fishes which sees, “No, it is not even something else. It is just a reflection of something”, and they will look up and see the swan flying, they are disciples.
Understand; there are fishes which jumps this way and feels that reflection is hugging them, loving, caring, compassionate, go out and write reminiscences; one level.
There are some fishes who will jump this way and will say, “No no no no no, that swan… fish kicked me out. It is not loving, compassionate”, that’s one batch.
Some rare intelligent fishes only will look, “No this is not even a fish like us, something else”.
The moment the doubt is created, he is not a be… See, there is a beautiful Shloka in Gita. Whoever thinks Guru as a better human being has abused the Divine presence. Guru is not a better human being. He is completely disconnected from this very idea of human beings. So only few intelligent guys get an idea, “No, he is not a better fish or a big fish or different big fish or a beautiful fish or anything; no. Some… He is not this specie which we think. The very quality, the very brand, the very idea is totally different. Those people who feel that, who are fortunate enough to have that click, only they start becoming devotees, start living around or practising very sincerely whatever is expressed.
See the people who come and go, both fishes. Fishes which claim that he is love and compassion and embodiment of care and all those things, the fishes which jump out and says, “No, no, no, no, no, not like that everything is business”. Both fishes are called consumers. They are consumers.
The fishes which starts looking, which starts looking, “No. This is no more a fish. No. This is not a fish just like us”. He is an investor. He… he starts investing.
Only when you have that doubt, “No this is not just a fish, something else”. You are ready to look up, see the source. When you look up and see the original fish, original Swan, you understand the truth. Suddenly you see, you were also never a fish, you were thinking you are a fish, suddenly you see, “Arey, I am a Swan. You fly and play with that Swan”.
Till… till you see that Swan flying, you do not realize you are a swan by some reason you fell into the water and you forgot you can fly and you are just tumbling this way, that way struggling to survive thinking you are a fish, is the truth.
Different, different kinds of fishes come. There are some fishes very busy just jumping this way and that way. When this fishes jump this way and that way, the reflection starts moving just because of the waves created by the fishes and these fishes think that Swan is moving, the reflection is moving.
Understand one important thing whether the fishes are jumping and moving the reflection or they are feeling it is loving and compassionate and hugging or they are feeling, “No, no, no, everything is business and hating” or they look little deep and find out, “I think this fish is... this is not just a fish, this is something else”. Only at that point you start doing Puja, worship, “No, he is not just an ordinary human being, something more”. At that time the devotion starts or the... start doing Puja.
When a intensely the trust is awakened, you look up and see the Swan. One important thing whether you jump and say you are... this Swan is compass... this reflection is compassionate or you jump out and say, “No, no, no, this is not compassionate, it is arrogant” or you say, “No, no, no, this is not even looking like a fish, it is something else” or you look up and find out the Swan flying.
All these four steps. The swan does not even bother. He is not even touched, neither touched nor bothered about all these four steps.
Intelligent are those who can look up and fly. His reflection falls on the lake for only one purpose just expecting maybe the few fishes will look up, that’s all. Maybe the few fishes will look up, nothing else.
Understand; the first level when you jump and say, “Oh, he is a compassionate”, you are fish and the reflection also fish or you jump out and say, “No, no, no, it is not as we think, not compassionate, just foolishness, just arrogance, selling himself, marketing”, something again you are a fish and this is just one more fish.
Third level, you look and see, “No, this is not fish” then you are also not fish and that is also not fish; that is reflection, you are also reflection of the reflection; that is why you are able to feel it is something else.
Then the fourth level when you look up, he is also Swan, you are also Swan. Along with your transformation, you will see the higher experiences of Him. Along with higher experiences of Him, your transformation will happen. Both are closely connected.
When you see the divinity in the idol, that’s a first level. When you see the divinity in the living human being, the human body, Guru Bhakti. Guru Bhakti suddenly leads to Atma Bhakti. Guru Bhakti leads to Atma Bhakti. He just turns that same devotion and says what is inside this system is, inside that system, “Tattvamasi”. Puts you up and the true experience starts happening.
The reflection of the Swan is happening everywhere just expecting some fishes will look up and wherever the reflection falls automatically the Ashrams and communities and Temple just stand up. They will just stand up. You don’t have to do anything. If the reflection falls on Malaysia, all the Malaysian fishes will gather, daga daga daga daga daga daga daga daga temple will be built. If it falls on Los Angeles, all the Los Angeles fishes will gather and daga daga daga daga temple will be built and if the reflection falls on Bangalore, all the Bangalore fishes will gather, and the temple will be built. The reflection falls on some other country all the fishes will gather and naturally the temple will be built.
Understand; I always tell people especially the temple who are our organizers I always tell them this rituals, rites, temple everything is for service, public. You fellows understand, do not forget to see the Swan because some fishes are so busy collecting pebbles to add the height of the temple, they forget to look up the… look up and see the Swan. Early morning Swan is not there and empty water, they all start… they are stuck with the memorial they built, the Swan has disappeared.
Understand before the Swan disappears, do not forget to look up and see the Swan. Sometime people just play around and miss to look up the... look up and see the Swan thinking that it is going to be there forever.
