Osho: Whether manifest or unmanifest the past, present and future are the nature of gunaas stability, action and inertia.

Few things – there are 2 theories about time with the western philosophers. One group says there is no such thing as time exists separately other than the incidents happening in the time. Because of incidents, time is assumed. They call it reductionism. If there is no change, there is no time. Time does not exist independently. The other group says time is like a vessel where incidents happening, changes are put and felt. But time exists independently. One group says time does not have independent existence other than the incidents and changes. One group says no – time is like a pot where incidents & changes are filled but it is an independent pot, it exists. The present day Bharatns ask why do you bother about all this? Is this in any way going to bring money for us? I was seeing a commercial in TV. One guy is explaining about the truths – a tennis play ground, beautiful room, ocean view restaurant. After giving all that, the customer is asking what is the mileage tell me that! Bharatns are bothered only about the mileage. Driving the 2 wheeler and thinking about the petrol and diesel price they have lost sensitivity to anything else. Same way when I say this about time, they will ask will it bring money? I tell you it will bring money. If you understand the truths about time the boredom, tiredness will break into pieces. I tell you boredom, tiredness unless you break this, you will not be successful in life. I see so many people they change their life style once a year. They go one job to another or go to an ashram once every year. They stay here for one year, go away, then come back. Then stay here for one year, then some fight happens and they go out again. I tell you nothing can be achieved your tiredness and boredom. Tiredness & boredom can be destroyed only when you understand about time. I can tell you understanding about time can liberate you from many psychosomatic disorders. I handled this whole fracture without pain just because of my understanding about time.

One group says time does not exist other than the changes. The other group says no. Time has independent existence other than the changes. Both have partial truths. I wanted you to know the sacred secret. The real truth is time has independent existence other than the incidents, situations, changes but ultimately both of them don’t have existence! As long as the changes and incidents have existence, time has independent existence. Please understand western philosophers one group says time has existence, only incidents show time. Other group says no, time is independently existing like incidents, changes. I tell you as long as the incidents and changes exist, time exists. When incidents & changes don’t exist time does not exist.

If you are an extrovert incidents exist more than time. If you are an introvert time exists more than incidents. If you are centered, both do not exist! Let us understand the topology of time. West always considers time as a straight line without beginning or end. Some western theologians talk of time with beginning but no end, some talk about time with end but with no beginning, some talk about time as a straight line. Let me give you the Vedic topology of time. First thing – time is not one branch, one line. It is multi dimensional independent of each other. 2nd it is not a line, it is a circle. In Hindu Tradition, the Vedic Tradition, there is a beautiful diagram the visual representation of topology of time – a snake eating its own tail, a snake swallowing his own tail. Means it is continuously swallowing its own tail and extending its mouth. It is swallowing its tail and its body is growing. The topology of time is the chakra means the circle which is swallowing itself, which is rejuvenating itself, refreshing itself. It is not one snake. It is 9 snakes! 9 snakes which is swallowing its own tail one on the other, the other on the other - this is the topology of time as per the Vedic Tradition.

Past, present, future these 3 form independent systems of time. Past mixed future and present mixed future means most of it is future with little past, little present. Present mixed past, future mixed past means most of it is past little future little present – this is one cycle. Like this there are 9 cycles, 9 snakes one on the other on the other means all independent circles. That is why I am saying time does not exist as you understand or the plane in which you exist. Time exists in a plane where your logic does not function. So the basic sacred secret, the end result of all these understandings about time is just psychologically be relieved of the concept of time, concept of ageing, concept of death, concept of birth, concept of anything attributed to time flow! If you feel in the next 10 minutes you have to make one crore, be very clear only 2 thing can happen. Either your goal has changed in the next 10 minutes or you will be struggling to fulfill that goal. There is no such thing as you will be fulfilled once you achieve the 10 crore. No. You either are suffering that you did not achieve the goal or you have another goal.

Trusting time is almost like trusting a Mud horse and entering the river. Trusting a horse made out of sand and entering the river to cross the river! I tell you one of the important components which is responsible for your desirous action and dissolution about anything in life is time. Not having the right understanding about time will make your life feel tired, boredom, everything! I tell you. The real time, the so called real time is outer world. Cosmic time is enlightenment. Psychological time is a gear. If this Psychological time moves towards the world time it is called pravruthi getting more and more towards the world. If this Psychological time moves more & more inward it is called nivruthi and moves towards getting enlightened. Person who turns the Psychological time towards the cosmic time is called the master. Psychological time turns towards the cosmic time when you understand the time does not exist as you understand. I am not saying don’t go to office on time. No. all I am saying is don’t allow the Psychological time to torture you. Do not allow the world time to influence your Psychological time mainly about ageing or number of years you are living. If you are sitting and thinking last 10 years you have wasted, you have wasted today also. Thinking about the last 10 years, you are wasting the 11th year also! Time does not bound you. So, be free, be liberated from time! Whether it is a manifested day to day life or unmanifested Psychological time, they do not exist outside the gunas. Gunas are basic ingredients for time to manifest!

Wow something has materialized in Oman! Wow emerald – green stone. Yesterday I told, today it has come! You will have one more emerald ma. Give them both to your mom & dad for their wedding anniversary! ☺

Western theologians say time does not exist outside the changes or incidents. I tell you that is not the ultimate. Time does not exist outside the gunaas. Guna means the satva, rajas, tamas – trigunas – three moods of consciousness. That is the right word. 3 different moods of consciousness! Time doe not exist other than the 3 different moods of consciousness. If you understand time does not exist, your 3 different moods also lose power on you. When you believe morning 5 o’clock is 5 o’clock, you do not feel like going to akhaada because tamas just fills you. When you know it is time to get up. Then you will just get up. Or if the rajas hits you – only when you go to akhaada you will get 10,000 rupee (for some people even that will not work ☺) if the rajas hits, then rajas is forgotten and you are there in akhaada. If satva overtakes – you think when I go there and build my muscle memory and I will get my life purpose which is being enlightened by going there. If with this clarity you go to akhaada satva takes over you. Now you know there is no body in the ashram who goes to akhaada with satva ☺ If you can move your body, do all your actions with satva, you will have the tremendous respect yourself. Integrity means moving all your parts like body, mind, memory, consciousness everything with clarity! That is what I call integrity – moving all parts of you with clarity is integrity!

The other day one Brahmachari wanted to go for the North Bharat yatra. I said as per your time, the Raahu is high up it is not good. It will separate you from the master. In a polite way I tried to tell. That guy did not listen. Anyhow I just left. But his mother came and cried in Sarva Darshan – I handed him over to you, he is telling he is going somewhere. Then I tried my best. Again that guy wanted to go on yaatra. What can I do? I cannot interfere in individual’s freedom. I know very clearly as per the energy’s flow the way he is moving if he is away from my physical presence he will have either food poisoning or snake bite. But if I tell him, he will only suspect my words and think maybe I am frightening or threatening him as if he is a great use and asset for me. But just his mother’s devotion for me, she is crying. I told my admin team to just inform the mother if he goes he will either have food poisoning or snake bite. But Swamiji cannot stop him. He only can advice. So if something happens, tomorrow you cannot blame Swamiji.

Otherwise you will say Oh you knew but did not tell. What to do? Sometime if you inform it is a problem, if you don’t also it is a problem. When people lock themselves in ignorance, no truth can be delivered to them! Integrity is the lesson only an individual can learn. Nobody else can teach. Ramakrishna says whenever I go to mother Kaali I pray for only one thing – Let me be integrated. Nothing else. He says he prays – oh mother! You take away everything. He says I gave my hatred and love, anger & compassion, my wealth & poverty, my sin & punya – merit. I give away everything but I cannot give away my integrity. He says when I go to Devi everything but not only I cannot give my integrity I tell my mother let me have integrity. Just that one, let me have it! integrity is like a master key to download all the extraordinary experiences and powers! Understand the ups & downs caused inside you by time leads only to suffering even if we imagine it is a joy for time being. Integrity is a basic thing which will liberate you from time. When you understand time has no base, you will experience integrity.

Do this one samyama today – no time. I don’t have old age. I don’t have death. This skin may shrink after some time. This body may wither away after some time. But I do not have old age, I do not have death! I just see this whole thing and enjoy the game. This skin may shine at some time, may shrink at some time, may return to nature at some time. But I do not have time. Time does not touch me. Just do this one samyama. Rest on this one truth. Let the Kundalini energy in you all be intensely awakened. Let me initiate all of you into intense Kundalini awakening.
