INTERVIEW BY GERMAN MAGAZINE
Interviewer: Some gurus are married others are not
Swamiji: I am not married and I am a celibate.
Interviewer: Ok so this will always
Swamiji: No I will not marry. I will not marry.
Interviewer: So basic you don’t travel within Bharat
Swamiji: No, I travel a lot. I travel a lot. Only thing whenever I am here I give satsang here but we arrange my travel such a way, every morning I am available somewhere where the internet facility is there so I continue my satsang. We get either a vehicle with a internet facility so wherever I go my satsang continues; because my satsang continues people think I am in one place. It is not true.
Interviewer: When did you start giving satsang
Swamiji: I can say that maybe 8 years before.
Eight or I think maybe even nine years.
Interviewer: And recently there was a advisory by the ministry or the government against so called superstitious programs by religious teachers how do you …find…… yourself in this …protest…..
Swamiji: I don’t teach anything superstition. And that’s it. So I don’t teach anything superstition, so I don’t have a problem. I don’t need to bother about it. But about that law itself if I study more I can comment. As on now I do not have much information about that law other than the rough sketch.
Interviewer: So you haven’t felt that this might impact
Swamiji: No no no because I don’t teach any superstition.
Interviewer: Ok. It’s difficult to define I guess what is superstition or not
Swamiji: No, it can be very clearly defined. If anything I experienced you should be able to experience. If anything which can be experienced by everyone it can’t be superstition that’s all.
Interviewer: What about your popularity on TV; when did you feel that it is ……………
Swamiji: No I never felt TV is important. You see as per the tradition every morning I have to speak. I have to ascend on this throne and I have to speak for my disciples. So TV was brought inside by my disciples saying that ‘we are all living in different countries how can we see you every day?’ So they brought the TV and when they brought the TV I never felt the importance even now I don’t; it is I am doing my ritual, that’s all.
Interviewer: Is there a change with them the situation in Bharat or anywhere else in the world that your popularity also increases or
Swamiji: See naturally in course of time; because every day I am speaking. People who are benefited they will go and tell somebody. So now we can say that we have more than 1000 centers around the world, 100s of centers every morning come in two way video conferencing.
Interviewer: How do you explain this ………… that people come to you and
Swamiji: See I basically teach the traditional yogic kriya, meditation process. So I feel there is a dire need the society, humanity wants the true knowledge of spirituality and the Hindu tradition and people are turning towards Hindu tradition because I feel the world peace can be brought by a religion which accepts many gods or all gods. Hinduism is such it accepts many gods and all gods. So I feel people have started seeking. Few days before the US court has ruled the yoga can be taught in the schools. So naturally everywhere the need for yoga and meditation and this spirituality is raising; so they are approaching that’s all.
Interviewer: And is there any special need maybe outside your ashram why people might …………..
Swamiji: As I said the knowledge which I am expressing, sharing may be useful.
Interviewer: Ok. Have you seen any instances where you have, actually can you give some examples where you have changed people’s lives
Swamiji: I think if you ask them …or we can give you tons and tons of material where people got healed from diseases and where people had a emotional transformation, people came out of depression, people have better relationship. Maybe I can let you speak to the people who are attending some; actually now program is going on. There is a 10 day program and 11 day program two combined together 21 day program; the program is going on. I think now we are in 8th day or 5th day? 9th day. From all over the world people are there. You can talk to them directly. You can relate with them directly.
Interviewer: Ok. all right.
Swamiji: Thank you. Thank you. If you guys can get me rudraksh watch.
Interviewer: So you can ensure us that this will not be used anywhere
Swamiji: No no. That we can make sure. It will not be used. You see..
Please have it. This is my humble gift for you. Please have it. This is actually a sacred bead in Hindu tradition. It’s called rudraksha. People wear that and….this is for you
Interviewer: Thank you so much…. I mean, to be honest I am not allowed to accept any presents. Our company has very strict rules. But I appreciate your
Swamiji: You see this is actually a temple Prasad
Interviewer: Yes I know, but we have such strict rules but I really appreciate your kindness; thank you so much.
Swamiji: Ok, ok then ok. So even when you go to a religious place you can’t accept anything.
Interviewer: Yes, that’s the thing.
