Prayer. Welcome. Today’s subject is How to see the future!

122nd Patanajali Yoga Sutras, 3rd chapter 16th verse –

Parinaama traya samyamaat ateeta anagata gyanam

Vivekananda: thru the practice of samyama and the 3 sorts of changes comes the knowledge or past and future

Prabhavananda: by making samyama on the 3 kinds of changes one obtains knowledge of the past and the future

Satchitananda: by practicing samyama on the 3 stages of evolution comes knowledge of the past and the future

Osho: by performing samyama on the 3 kinds of transformation nirodha, Samadhi & ekagrata knowledge of the past and future.

I will explain the concept first. The real you which is feeling constantly I exist, I am alive in you, that can be considered as a long shaft & the illusory courage & illusory fear, the illusory pain & illusory pleasure which just raises and falls can be considered as a paint & when the paint is been poured on the shaft, different different drawings are created. The drawings with which you feel familiar you already experienced is called past, the drawing which you feel you have never experienced you call future. Your consciousness is a long shaft and the idea. Please understand, all the ideas like a created illusion, delusion, fear, pain, pleasure, greed all these are different color paints they are being poured left, right centre, in different speed in different way on that huge conscious shaft which creates different designs and paintings. With any painting you feel familiar is called past, with any painting you feel unfamiliar is called future. When you do samyama or dwelling upon how these illusory things are created are poured on you, you will just know what kind of future paintings you are going to create.

First technically catch what Patanjali is trying to say. Your consciousness is a long shaft. All the illusory fear, greed, desire, anger all these illusory things when I say illusory I want you to go through certain exercises then you will understand experientially how illusory it is. If you are going thru little financial loss for example, sit and read some article or book of someone who was a billionaire and a pauper. In 2 hours you will see that you will live the misery of the broken sick. It is very easy to experience the sadness and suffering. Just read some articles books or see some videos or movies where a billionaire has become pauper, broke or sick. Actually your reality has not changed an inch. But just with that reading, even if you have 10$ loss, you will literally feel you have lost everything! You will visualize you losing everything and you will literally feel the trembling inside. same way, when you are having little good feeling. Talk to some fellow who sells dreams to you. in every person’s life there will be people who sells his dreams to you. knowing that he sells dreams, you will go to him. Because he make you feel happy. He will just talk without showing or telling the reality to you. without telling you the threat under which you are, without telling the difficulty and suffering under which you are. When you spend time with this kind of persons, suddenly you have great confidence and courage. I want you to go thru this exercise. Go to the worst depression & the peak of courage within 2 days. Then you will understand how the illusory pains are being poured on the conscious shaft. Another secret is – your past has nothing to do with the time past. Your past has nothing to do with the clock click or the time lost by the clock. Your past has something to do with whether you feel familiar with that incident or not. When something happened in your life and you are not familiar with it, be very clear it is not your past. If you do not know how to go about it, it is future. Same way, if something is going to happen after 2 years and you know it perfectly well, you know how to handle it, you are completely prepared then it is not future, it is past. That will bring boredom in your life. Your future has nothing to do with time yet to come and past nothing to do with the time past. Past means you are familiar with it at least few dimensions of it – you know how to handle it, what good or bad it can bring. Past is something to do with familiarity and knowingness you carry about something. Future Is time which is yet to come – unfamiliarity, newness you carry about the future. That is why very few of us have future!

Understand, I want you to know this important fact. A man who has the guts courage to live the life without planning too much to know about it only has future. Otherwise if you completely know about what is going to happen in the next few days, months, years, you have only past. You don’t have future. Only a person who is ready to live without guessing, looking, analyzing, planning too much, without asking too many details from God has future. Future has nothing to do with the time yet to come. It has something to do with the newness. The newness you are ready to carry in you and you are ready to allow for the time. Time wants to retain its newness. But, you are not courageous enough or aware enough to let the 4 time retain its newness. When you don’t want the time to retain its newness, you don’t have future, you have only past! Understand if there is some incident happened few years before in your life but it has not left any samskara, impression, influence on your conscious shaft, it is not past. You are free of past, you are free from that past. But even if something is going to happen in the future and you are too thorough you are only past.

So be clear if it is too defined, you have only past you don’t have future. That is why life brings boredom. If you know how your next one month is going to be in a very clear way and live that one month in a same clear way without even a small track change, your mind is ready for death and boredom. When changes happen beyond your plans understand God wants you to live. He wants you to be alive. He wants you to be in joy. He wants you to be in ecstasy. In Vedic tradition, there is a beautiful system – if you feel life is too heavy, bored or strongly depressed by projecting too much of secured feeling on the future lost the ability to live the future, immediately you are asked to go on parivrajaka yatra. You are aksed to pack up your clothes, have a stick and start parivrajaka yatra. In parivrajaka yatra you cannot project your past into the future, you cannot be certain about the future. Future has to be lived. Not to be thought thru. Traditions and rituals have to be honoured not to be analyzed. Some time when you analyze you miss the sacred secret in it. The vanaprastha is a technology to remove too much dirt on your conscious inner space. By living in the same house, same spouse, same life, same job, same car for few years in a very routine regular way, layers & layers of your inner space is filled with boredom & prepared for death – does not want future to be new! I wanted to coin a new word – newture! If you don’t allow the influence of past over the future and be alive, ready to live the future you have newture! Not otherwise. Otherwise you don’t have life. It is all past!

Now do this 3 on this one truth. From today, Patanjali starts samyama – a very powerful mystical technology to reveal extraordinary powers. I bless and initiate all of you in samyama processes from today. Understand this sacred secret. Past is nothing to do with the time past, future is nothing to do with time yet to happen. Past has something to do with your familiarity of that incident or the engrams that incident or object has left on you. future has something to do with that awareness and openness you have to live. So the key term on this whole concept is newture! So whenever you remember this word newture you know your future will not be your future if you go on having more & more certainties about future. I am not even completely against being certain things like food and stay. But I am against your ideas you carry about how to react to incidents in future and you living your life from those ideas. Do not have the fear or the certainty of your reactions, responses which may cause suffering in future. When you have that anxiety and anticipation, you are borrowing your future and spending it in present. It is almost like you buy a house pledging that 30 years you will stay in that house and work for the fellow who gave you the house and die. What for you worked for 30 yrs? Just because somebody gave you that house. That’s all! Nothing else. Instead of calling all these things as illusions, human beings go on calling enlightenment and great truths sacred secrets of life as illusions! Look around – if you feel you are the owner of the property in which you are sitting – that is illusion. You are sitting in a house and working for 30 yrs just to have that house. That’s all! You work for that poor fellow who gave you the house. Finally you give it back to the same country! All kinds of sacred sentiments are created, associated and attached to this concept of country, state. I am not against them but I am against people being exploited and not told the truth. You need to know the truth. Too much of sacredness is created & attributed to this man made constitutions. States boundaries, which is the by product of collective delusion – when a huge amount of garbage or the drainage water is churned how essence of the acid – poison comes out. If you churn huge amount of milk, the essence butter, nectar will come out. If you churn drainage toxic waste will come out. Like this only boundary, border, countries have come. A state or a government or a county is a utility. Live in it happily. Obey those laws with understanding. But you need to find the truth of basic existence the sacredness of life on your own. In your inner space.

Don’t try to seal the future. Try to feel the future. Sealing the future means you are dragging to death! feeling the future is life! One middle aged lady runs behind the garbage vehicle and shouts towards the driver – stop,stop am I too late for garbage. The driver looks back and says – No, jump in! understand if yo are sealing your future, jump in! you are not too late for garbage. Don’t seal the future, feel the future. Have high awareness. It is frightening. I tell you many thing which you seal will be suffering if it happens in your future, will not be suffering when it is happening. I see many youngsters who don’t want to take up sanyas just because if they grow old who will take care of them, just because of some fears of future. Many people avoid taking intelligent decisions in their life just because of some fear of future, because they sealed the future. I tell you if sealed the future even if you have lived in a safe way, you have not lived! It can only be a sealed future. If the past is loaded on the future, it will just go fast that’s all! You will not have the satisfaction that you lived. So now you need to do parinaama traya samyama atita angata gyanam – how when these diff paints are poured on you the evolution happens. now I am translating exactly the sutra.

Whatever I sahred till now is the ss embedded in this sutra, the technical ifno. Exact technology I am giving fromt his sutra – sit whenever this cyclone of artificial created greed, pain, pleasures happen in you have awareness and do samyama on that. How each confident moment or coward moment or fearful moment or joyful moment or painful moment makes the evolution to happen in you, allows the enlightenment to happen in you, allow growth to happen in you, how you become vimukta by every wave and cyclone happening in your inner space, do samyama on that. How a sudden fear from the familiar incident which may or may not have happened in your life hits you and creates a feeling it may repeat or happen in the future even for the 1st time (eg you may not have gone to prison at all, but you have fear that you will be put one day, pl don’t think it is the future, it is past working on future. It is a sealed future!

So even if it is going to happen after a year or two, if you are suffering, it is past. Only past brings suffering. Only known brings suffering. Freedom from known is enlightenment. Freedom from knowing is enlightenment. Please look deeply and understand very clearly freedom from known is enlightenment, freedom for knowing is enlightenment, freedom of knower is enlightenment. From known, for knowing of knower is enlightenment! If you don’t have an idea about prison corrupt mind which constantly worries about the prison, if it just happen as an incident it will never be a suffering. Life that’s it! Because you have freedom from the known, freedom for knowing, freedom of the knower is established. When the freedom from the known for knowing is there, knower is free! Look every step of you r life. Scrap all the influences of the past on your future, scrub the cracks you carry in your feet. When you walk too much on certain ground, because of the quality of the ground affecting the leg, you get the cracks in the leg. Same way if you walk too much on the past, because of the quality of the past, you get too much cracks in the conscious leg. Scrub it. Scrubber is this samyama. How a cyclone of different moods hit your inner space, how the evolution is happening in you, how each hitting is teaching you something, raising you to a different higher and higher space. When the pain hits you and you have this awareness you become leader. I can tell you when the greed hits you if you are aware, you will have the siddhi of expanding the body, guilt hits you and you are aware, you will have the siddhi of shrinking your body, fear – making body heavy, courage – efficiency or siddhi of making your body light, fear of the past being projected on the future, I can say the fears created by past being projected on the future If that hits you and you are aware, you will have the siddhi of Ishitwa. When you have the ability or the command not to let the past in to the future but able to do the same act in a diff way you will get the power of Vashitwa. The same act done again & again without the trace of the past expresses and extraord creativity vashitwa – mesmerizing presence. Same satsang conducted again & again but without trace of the past, people are mesmerized. This is a siddhi called vashitwa. People are just lost.

Do samyama on how the evolution happens. if you take care that the fears of past does not get projected on the future and you live the future, you achieve the power of Ishwaratva – Leader. Because every incident happens in this moment makes you a leader. Now I know how to handle illegal persecutions because of my awareness with which I handled them. I became leader of those possibilities, those incidents. I became enlightened of those incidents, those possibilities. So understand if you know how to runt he future without trace of the past, even though the incidents are regular but you have pure new inner space you have vashitva. People just melt in front of you. I want all of you to know I am talking the same thing everyday! You can boil down the whole thing that I am talking to 2-3 words – be unclutched is enough then bliss will happen. Over! I am talking the same thing for 1000s of hours – still more & more & more getting added, people who attend one satsang never miss the 2nd day. And it is a working day and working hour for many countries.

The infrastructure created by our rishis like Vindhya, Himachala, Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswathi, Kaveri is feeding us in Bharat! Our whole GDP is this only. That is why ii tell if you are born in Bharat and dedicate your life for spirituality leaving everything else, you will not incur any sin. Don’t worry. Our forefathers created this infrastructure for enlightenment. Bagiratha brought Ganga to this land for more & more inner scientists to do research in the inner world. Bagiratha brought Ganges to Bharath so that all you guys can sit and meditate. Bharatn infrastructure is created by few rishis with the intention of helping individuals to spend more time on the sacred sentiments and enlightenment. I want all of you to know whole Bharat’s GDP is nothing but these few infra structures created by our Rishis. That’s all. Everything else you call as growth of country is abuse done to nature.

So understand, it is time we recognize the sacredness of the inner science. Awaken the possibilities of inner energies! Understand how each incident evolves you. suddenly you know how the future of you is going to be! I can say there is no certain future. You need to create future. But creating future does not mean you will build a house or car. That is not all of your future. That may be one aspect of your future. But this science – how each incident evolves you, how thru each incident evolution happens in you, if you catch it, you will be able to build your future. Build your future by mastering this samyama not only b y house, car or insurance. In fact with all these, you have built your conuntiry’s future, your future related to the outer world. but only if you know how evolution happens in you with eveyr incident or cyclone. You will have the science of building a real future. I want all our kids should learn the technology of building future – which is newture. I want all our kids to build a newture. Lets leave the word future for building car, house and bank balance and then build insurance for car, house and bank balance. Then create insurance for that insurance itself! This is only about future that people live generally. But our kids should be taught the technology of newture also where they do samyama and eveyr major emotional cyclone happens in them – how it evolves them to the next level. how they become leaders in their inner space. This will teach them nto only how to live but also how to create their future. People who live an ordinary future have not ensured their insurances. I am now creating another word – ensurance! Do samyama on this how every incident every emotional cyclone hits you and how you evolveyou will have ensurance for your life! Ensurance don’t stop with Insurance. Insurance is good to have a bed for future. Ensurance is needed to have sleep for the future!

Have ensurance for your old age! Let us create a non profit organizations to ensure all human being internationally! How the insurance companies are going around and trying to insure people for their old age which is not really insurance. We will give people ensurance for their future in reality, in actuality. We will create ultimate reliance ensurnace non-profit organizations. We should teach the science of ensurance. And I tell you these companies give insurance if you pay certain premium every month.

I give you the ensurance. If you just do samyama on this technique – how each incident or each emotional cyclone makes you go higher & higher how evolution is happening in you by greed fear all hitting in you – if you do this premium act of samyama I give you ensurance any untoward incident when you have the body but losing the mind this shaastra shastra the knowledge weapon, the saraswathi, the devi will see that she will get you out of suffering. If you are losing even the body, you will see the ultimate energy the Devi will appear in front of you and give you enlightenment and liberate you. I will make clear ensurance policies. Ensurance is cosmic and reality. Never lies, never cheats there are no fine prints. I am surprised that insurance does not cover all kinds of damages. There are many funny fine prints. But here I am telling you there is no fine print. You can see in your life. Pay the samyama you will immediately get the dividend and the ensurance. Understand every day the time you spend on samyama don’t think you are wasting. The time you spend in your office is insurance. The time you spend in your samyama is ensurance. Today go around and inspire at least 5 people to ensure their life. Ask them have you ensured your life? If they say what is ensurance, then open up. Tell this truth. You have only built your future in the outer world not inner world. now learn this technique and technology. So all our swamis, acharyas, devotees shoud become ensurance agents, agents of ensurance policy. Go around. It is non-profit and it is free!

So understand, I want all our devotees, disciples, followers, acharyas to become ensurance policy agents! Ensure your future. Blessings!
