Q: If fear & joy are the illusions and delusions we have about life, are not real. Then what is reality swamiji?

Understand, when you understand the fear & joy, pain & pleasure are illusion & delusion that very understanding will make a huge change in you. You will feel like the earth on which you are standing is removed. Almost everything will collapse. Allow that collapsing, allow that understanding to happen. See that the whole thing tumbles down. Whatever you build as your identity, suddenly will change. All your strategy planning for your future will suddenly change. All the logic with which you build your life will be completely shaken. Allow that. Do not have the fear. Allow this tumbling, shaking to happen by understanding that our courage, our fear, our greed, our pains, our pains & our pleasures are all illusion & delusion. Many time life actually tests you. Life actually wants to test your stability, your understanding, your strength. But in a very foolish way you respond and react and create whole thing as a mess! Please understand, many time life really tests you. Do you stand this fear which is delusion. Do you stand this greed which is illusion or are you going to react in a foolish way and create bigger mess. Whenever fears take over you or greed takes over you when courage takes over you when the pain takes over you look into it. What is the % of it which is real and what % of it is illusory or delusory. See what is the % of it which is contributed by the illusions & delusions. And what % can be attributed to the real incident which may or may not happen in your life.

I have a story for you - the FBI had an opening for an assassin so they started interviewing people. After all tests were done, there were 3 finalists – 2 men & a woman. For the final test, the FBI took one of the man into a room and gave him a gun. They told him – we want you to be strong. Inside your wife is there, kill her! The man said he cannot. He was sent out. The 2nd man was sent in, he was there for 5 mintues, came out with tears and said I cannot kill her. He was also sent out. Finally it was the woman’s turn and was asked to kill her husband. She went in. there was sound of screaming, bashing, gun sounds were heard. Finally she came out wiping her brow. She said this gun is loaded with blanks so I had to beat him to death!

Many time life is loaded with a gun with blank. But unfortunately you don’t get it. When the wave of greed, courage, pain, joy takes over you. wait. Look. See what is the % of possibility of delusion or illusion. What is the possibility of the real incidents which may or may not happen. How this fear is going to impact your ability to handle the real incident if it happens. Just see. The ability to face, the ability to look, the ability to see please understand ability to look without being bothered about what is reality – please understand the moment you have the fear means you do not want to let go this delusions and illusions. Don’t bother. Just let go! Then what is reality will flower in you. Allow that flowering. Now don’t bother, don’t worry too much about it. Allow the delusions and illusions to be removed from your inner space. You will see the real incidents which is reality will never hurt you. I tell you I really wanted all of you to know – anything happens is addition and auspiciousness. I tell you even if you think this is the worst dream happening in your life – even the worst dream wakes you up! In the dream even if the tiger is chasing you or elephant is chasing you or snake is chasing you or your spouse is talking to you, you wake up! So anything happens in life is auspicious! It may look very impractical. Very frightening. Understand you cannot be in a worst danger risky in secured position than me! the accusations, abuse, harassment and religious persecution that I am facing – I can say one of the worst religious persecutions in the modern days, in the modern history. But being in the centre of the cyclone, being persecuted so badly I am telling you what ever happens can only be added to your life. Means all happenings are auspiciousness. Just stop your interpretation. Not only that when you stop the interpretation the energy which you waste in fighting with illusions and delusions can be used to handle the exact happening. The incident.

In my life I have seen the extremes and I can see how the courage given by the extreme faith is illusion same way the fear given by the extreme defamation is delusion. Neither of them is reality. Both are illusion and delusion. The small subtle diff between the illusion and delusion. Illusion is the false happening outside your system. Delusion is the impact of the false happening outside you inside you. illusion is the source of delusion outside your system. Delusion is the reflection of the illusion inside you. whether it is illusion or delusion created by the society or your ignorance or collective delusion – there is something called collective delusion. There are 1000s of problems created by collective delusion. People have their own ideas, imagination, thinking. Sometimes it is very funny how this collective delusion can manifest! Human mind when it is caught in collective delusion can be exploited and manipulated to any level any extreme any extent!

Do not bother to drop this fear & greed created by illusions and delusions. When you drop you will settle down in a space which I don’t want to describe. Because if I describe that space, you will have another illusion of that space & you just miss it! For example, If I say restful awareness, you will catch just that one word. You will not let go your illusions and delusions. But will start living in the illusion which you understand as ‘restful awareness.’ You want a short cut to everything in life! You don’t even know what I mean by ‘restful awareness.’ This is what you are trying to do when you ask the question – what is reality? I don’t want to directly answer it. First do the job of removing the garbage – the illusions and delusions in you. then it will reveal itself to you. do not try to create theology before practicing. I tell you a small missing and misunderstanding happens when you create a theology before even trying to experience. This can create too much nuisance on planet earth. That is the reason I always tell our teachers, our acharyas – let you digest the whole truth. Just digesting, not talking to others will make you a dumb idiot! And not digesting just talking to others will make you a cunning criminal theologian. I don’t want my acharyas to be a dumb idiot or cunning criminal theologians! This is my instruction to all acharyas – understand, digest the truth and share this truth with intense aggressiveness. Understand aggressively and share aggressively. Neither lack in understanding nor lack in sharing!So don’t bother about what is reality. I don’t want to give you any painting.

Q: what about real incidents like accident and death. Is this is also illusory delusory pains?

First come out of the other illusory and delusory pains. Do that first. Then you will experience the answer for this question. I want you to have a manual work book not a theological philosophical volumes & volumes which you can put your head on and sleep! I am not interested in creating encyclopedia botanicas or philosophical volumes to fill the useless parts of your brain. Which can be used as pillow for you. NO. I am interested in creating practical manual – owners guide.

Q: in the main enkriya part the 4th step should we stop the breathing after inhaling or exhaling.

Neither do any of this. Don’t prepare yourself for the freezing. It should be like a sudden attack by you on you. just stop it where ever you are

121ST Patanjali Yoga Sutras, 3rd chapter verse –

Krama anyatvam parinaama anyatve hetuhu

Vivekananda: the succession of changes is the cause of manifold evolution

Satchitananda: the succession of these diff phases is the cuase of diff stages of evolution

Prabhavananda: the succession of these changes is the cause of manifold evolution

Osho: the variation in transformation is caused by the variety in underlining process

As I said yesterday’s sutra is about the illusory delusion and delusion. Yesterday’s sutra spoke about the changes. Understand there is only one thing that is eternal - Anithya is only nithya – the changes only are eternal. This sutra needs to be understood connecting with yesterday’s sutra. So I want you to clearly understand the gist of yesterday’s sutra so that you can catch the truth of today’s sutra. The constant illusory fear and illusory courage, illusory greed & illusory pain, illusory pleasure, illusory sufferings created in you is responsible for various actions and changes happening in you. please understand, if I have to reveal the sacred secret to you honestly a very important sacred secret. This illusory fears delusory greed illusory pains and pleasures even if this illusions and delusions if you handle it with awareness as I said in the previous satsangs just 2 sutras before this sutra like how I explained the time concept – whether worrying about past of future is happening in me in this moment in present. Same way the illusory and delusory fear or greed is happening in me. Have this understanding and face this illusion and delusion. That very illusion & delusion will lead to evolutionary transformation. Getting caught in illusion or delusion or evolving from them and getting enlightenment both happen by the same illusion and delusion. How you are with it is what matters. The cylone of depression, pain, pleasure, fear, greed is constantly attacking you. if you give up the restful awareness and balance you will do the same as the FBI woman did. Life is testing you. it is giving you the blank field gun. Don’t kill! It is just testing you. if you behave like the FBI woman who got deluded, naturally you will create more & more complications and illusions in your life. Or sit with restful awareness and face it, the same cyclone will liberate you. it will evolve you away from it and lead you to the highest truth.

Earlier we were evolving as one of the fastest growing spiritual organization. Now after the scandal we became scandal mukta we are evolving as the fastest growing spiritual movement in the world. we now know who stands, who does not, we know what we offer to the world, who is interested in that. Who is going to be our customer, consumer, partner, dedicated disciple, devotee, who is going to harass us, abuse us, who is our part time enemy, who is our full time enemy – we know everything! Now we have become scandal vimuktas. Whatever said and done this kind of experience cannot be gotten 2nd hand. Now I can tell courageously at least few million people I will make them enlightened! Before this abuse and persecution I was telling at least 10, 000 people will sit with us in 2012 and reduce collective negativity and spread global peace. But with this whole thing, we pre-poned our goals. I know this moment 10,000 people are sitting with us and spreading peace!

Life is like a cyclone constantly happening on you! when it happens how you stand, how you stand – are you standing with awareness and larger broader strategy planning or are you shrinking and shivering & shaking. Stand with larger strategy, stand with broad understanding. Actually this persecution has made us immortal. Now we know. Many of our own disciples and ashramites were always wondering & worrying how to be non-controversial and be accepted by the society. Because of this fear they were not able to spread the truths I am sharing with the world. At least now that problem is not there, that fear that you are supposed to be non-controversial is taken away from us now! ☺

I have set a trend and I have given courage to my disciples – even if they throw shoes, don’t bother. Let us stand for the truth we believe! A mission of a spiritual incarnation can never be destroyed. Neither the incarnation like me nor the mission can be destroyed.

Understand, when the illusions and delusions are constantly happening on you, remember the one on which they are happening which is you is reality. You are the reality. Only the happenings are unreal. So stand on this truth and this will liberate you to achieve enlightenment.

Essence of today’s satsang – all the illusory fears and delusory greed, pain, pleasure everything comes to your life like a cyclone. Stand with a restful awareness and that will liberate you. If you are shaken and caught with it, you will succumb to more & more negativity. Today’s homework – write 5 incidents when you got caught with illusion and delusion and got caught more in the problem. And write 5 incidents when you stood strongly when the illusory fear and delusory greed happened to you and you were liberated! Do this and send it to me. Blessings!
