Solution for Addiction and Karmas 19th June 2013 Nithyanandeshwara Samaarambhaam Nithyanandeshwari Madhyamaam | Asmath Aachaarya Paryanthaam Vandhey Guru Paramparaam ||

I welcome you all with my love and respects. I welcome all the devotees, disciples, viewers, visitors sitting through Lotus News channel and Sadhna TV, Ishwar, Disha and Nithyananda TV.

Today I will expand on “COMPLETIONS AND KARMA” as the continuation of the last three days’ satsangh.

Please come to the space of listening! I am defining Karma.

Karma is a thought or cognition or action which makes you follow the same action, again and again, as that action left incompletion in you, as that action leaves incompletions in your inner space.

It can be as simple as addictions or as complicated as Delusion, Maya. Addictions are the simplest incompletions. Maya is the most complicated incompletion. What is not there you go on believing it is there, and what is there you go on believing it is not there, is “Delusion”. What you don’t know, by constantly boasting to others that you know, you feeling you know, is “Delusion”.

What you know, by constantly telling others you don’t know, you feeling you don’t know, is “Illusion”. What you know, telling everyone you don’t know constantly, and thinking you don’t know, is “Illusion’. What you don’t know, by constantly telling others you know, thinking you know, is “Delusion”.

Delusion and Illusion forms the complicated forms of addiction.

When an addiction is complicated, it is called “Karma”. When Karma is simple, it is called “Addiction”.

Please catch it! Come to the space of listening!

Addiction and Karma are one and the same. When the addiction is complicated, it is called “Karma”. When Karma is simple, it is “Addiction”.

Maya also is an addiction. Showing what is not there is a form of addiction. That is why you are addicted to the image you project which is not there.

Projecting what is not there is also a complicated addiction. When your actual root-pattern is something else and how you project yourself to others is something else, and how you feel about life is something else, and how you tell about others is something else!

Listen! How you think about others and how you actually speak about others, how you feel about the world and others, and how you feel actually about others and the world, and how you project about others and the world.

Listen! This is a basic truth you need to know. Listen from the space of listening!

Karma, when it gets simplified, you call it as “Addiction”. Addiction, when it gets complicated, you call it as “Karma”.

I will define…… (connectivity lost on eNTV at this point…).

The incompletions left in you, when they make you do, again and again, do something for completion, it is “Addiction”.

The incompletions are so deep, they don’t even know how to move towards completion, so they make you do something, is “Maya”.

Understand, if your incompletions are making you do the same act, again and again, for the sake of reaching completion, it is called “Addiction”.

If your incompletions are such, it does not even know the path or method to lead you towards completion, and makes you do something, it is called “Delusion”, “Maya”.

Sometimes, the actions you do to come out of Maya can strengthen the veil of Maya in you, can make you get stuck more deeper in Maya, can make you get deeper into delusions of Maya.

J. Krishnamurthy says very clearly, ‘Your efforts to be free never free you. It is the truth about freedom that leads you to freedom.’

I have seen in my life, so many people in the name of renunciation, they get caught in laziness. In the name of peace, they fall into depression. In the name of freedom, they fall into deeper and deeper depressions, deeper and deeper sufferings, deeper and deeper bondages.

Listen! Only if you come to the space of listening, you will understand what I am expressing.

In the name of freedom what you do, you fall into deeper and deeper bondages. I have seen in the name of self-enquiry, millions have fallen into deep depression. In the name of ajapa-japa, millions have fallen into schizophrenic state.

It is not your efforts about freedom, not your efforts towards freedom, but the knowledge about freedom that makes you understand and experience freedom.

In addiction, completion is always straightforward. In addiction, completion is always straightforward.

In Maya, in delusion, completion is never straightforward.

In addiction, completion is straightforward. In Maya, completion is never straightforward.

Each moment of powerlessness you experience should be diagnosed to its depth. Each moment of powerlessness you go through should be diagnosed to its depth. Every moment of powerlessness is not wasting that moment, it is potentially wasting your life! Each moment of powerlessness is not wasting that moment, it is potentially wasting that life!

Sometimes, for your cough you have to clean your stomach!

Addiction is like straightforward. If you have eye problem, just put the medicine in the eyes. Okay! If you have ear problem, just put the medicine in the ear. Something like straightforward.

But delusion is so complicated, sometimes for cough you have to clean the stomach. For blood-pressure, you have to reduce fat. The solution is somewhere else, delusion is somewhere else! Delusion is somewhere else, solution is somewhere else!

The branding of life is not dependent on the karmas you carry.

The branding of your life cannot be dependent on the karmas you carry. It can only be dependent on the solutions you carry. But you go on branding your life based on the upaadhis you carry, titles. This, this, this, this, this….! Awards and rewards you carry! Defining your life based on awards and rewards and titles you carry!

Sometimes I feel shy about my name. Such a long name, that original name “Nithyananda” is lost somewhere! It is almost like a “Baa Baa Black Sheep” rhyme! Paramahamsa parivrajakaachaarya satchitananda pranava swaroopa…..! I think I cannot repeat! Actually, I do not know by-heart! Understand, fortunately I don’t build my Mamakaara or Ahankaara on that upaadhi.

Lawyer, doctor or engineer should be your PROFESSION, not YOU! The delusions and karmas you carry cannot be your branding. Branding of life cannot be based on the delusion you carry, but based on the freedom you carry.

Life, life cannot be branded, cannot be branded on stranded concepts. All your upaadhis are nothing but stranded identities, stranded identities. Sometimes, the human consciousness tries to survive holding on to the identities, stranded identities. It is like an original tree trying to survive holding on to the parasite without knowing original tree is giving life to the parasite! You are giving life to your stranded identities. It is so unfortunate, the tree is trying to hold on to the parasite! You who grace the thrones, start feeling that thrones grace you! You who grace the identities, upaadhis, titles, rewards, awards, feel that the awards, rewards, titles grace you! No! No!

I tell you, nothing happens in your life that is too big, whether it is good or bad, because your life is not too big! Remember that! All your upaadhis, rewards, awards, titles neither grace you, nor the defamatory statements of others disgrace you. When somebody tries to defame you, he defames himself, not you!

I tell you from the Law of Integrity, before he utters abusive word to you, he has already uttered to himself inside! Only then he can utter it to you! So, anybody defames, suffers more with that word than the guy he defames. Acid destroys the vessel it is kept in first. Only then it destroys the person on whom it is poured. Acid destroys the vessel it is kept in first. At least for acid you have vessels which may not be destroyed by the acid. But for abusive words you don’t have vessel which they cannot destroy! Those abusive words will destroy your heart first. Only then it will destroy the person on whom you are throwing it.

Listen! Listen! Listen!

If you drink poison and expect your enemy to die, it is foolishness!

You say, ‘Yes, yes, I drank, but last mouthful of poison I spat on him!’

But that is not going kill him!

That is exactly what you are trying to do! You use all the abusive words on you and then throw on others also! Surely, others are not going to be disturbed by those words! You will suffer more than others. You will be dead much before you see him die.

Find the source which feels elated by the identities. Find the source which feels elated by the identities. I tell you, the fear of rejection makes you run towards name and fame, whoever has experienced in the young age your love has been rejected. When I say “your love being rejected”, not just male-female love, but even if your friendship requests have been rejected by your classmates. You want to play with that guy, and he says no. You want to study with him, and he says no. Even that rejection creates that pattern in you to run behind name and fame, because in name and fame the attention is showered on you. When you have been rejected, fear of rejection makes you run behind name and fame. Same way, when your love is rejected, just to prove you are worthy you build the pattern of lust.

Please listen! You have good news. I told you yesterday itself, lust cannot be root-pattern, because lust pattern starts after you become physically mature, but all root-patterns have to start before the age of four or five. Lust can never be root-pattern. It can only be established on some root-patterns, on some complicated root-patterns. When the fear of rejection and the feeling of worthlessness create a knot, there grows the lust pattern.

So unfortunate, really unfortunate that human-beings go on struggling with such simple problems. They are really simple problems when you look at them from the angle of solutions. When you look at them from the angle of problems, they are too complicated. When you look at them from the angle of solutions, they are too simple. Because the solution is simple, I say the problem is simple. Because the problem is big, they think the solution is big. I tell you, because I perceive solution is small, I perceive problem is small! First of all, you are not big, so your problems cannot be big. You are too small; your problems also can be only too small.

Human life is so beautifully designed, even if you don’t find the solution, if you keep quiet, problems will get outdated! Even if you can keep quiet, you will outgrow the problems, the problems will get outdated! But you constantly brooding over and complicating, complicating, you keep the problem alive continuously, you keep the problem awake continuously!

The essence of today’s satsangh, the essence of today’s satsangh:

Complicated addiction is “Karma”, straightforward karma is “Addiction. Addiction can have a direct solution, Karmas need indirect solution. Karmas need complicated completion, addictions need direct completions.

I tell you, start completion. You will be relieved from addictions and karmas.

So, “start the completion process” is the essence of today’s satsangh.
