Today officially we are starting the kalpa vaas. Kalpavaas means staying here on certain days during the Kumbha mela is called Kalpavaas. Some say it is 21 days, some say it is 41 days. You should know the importance of this kalpa vaas. Why just staying here is called spiritual practice. This place is called Maha Kumbha Puri the world’s largest mega city which pops up in 3 weeks, exists for 55 days and is removed within 7 days. Because March 10th Kumbha mela is ending. March 20th there is a huge flood covering all the places where we are sitting now.. why staying in this place itself is considered as a spiritual practice in Vedic tradition? You can see the train moving ☺ Always we have ashrams next to Railway track. This next to Railway track is our ashram is always whether it is Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad anywhere our ashrams are next to railway tracks. Why staying in this place itself is considered as spiritual practice. Understand various imp reasons. This place comes under auspicious impact of cosmic energy this time in this 55 days. A strong impact of cosmic spiritual energy. Whole night I was in samadhi due to Krishna sankeertan continuously going on…yesterday I went around the whole Kumbha Puri and I felt wow what a strength of Vedic tradition, power of Vedic tradition. Even after so much of getting beating up by the atheists and even after latest atheists invading through media even after so much we are around. I felt so much of joy and pride – Hindu Asmitha. The pride feeling belongs to Vedic Tradition. Each tent and the people gathered – God! Continuously, I can say all tastes and spices and varieties of Hinduism served in one place. If you don’t get something in Maha Kumbha Puri, forget about it, it is not there in Hinduism. Everything available in the world’s oldest spiritual tradition is available here. Every sanyaasi, sadhu, master, leader, followers, seekers everyone is here celebrating in their own way! We are here with hundreds of devotees. Our tent can accommodate around 250. We already confirmed accommodation for 220 people for this. From today to 16th. So today we will start officially our kalpa vaas – living in this sacred space. Understand, this ground, this very ground Shankara walked, Ramanuja walked, Jnana Sambandar walked, Swami Narayan walked, Vivekananda walked, Paramahamsa Yogananda walked, Kapila walked all masters and incarnations including Rama and Krishna walked on this very land. Their feet dust is here. How sacred it is. And continuously Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswathi are walking! What a land to be in – Maha Kumbha Puri. That is why even though Maharshi Mahesh Yogi when he was alive and self exiled himself from Bharat. You all should know for quiet a long time he did not visit this land…even after incorporating his own country….the world’s richest ….he wrote a will that his body should be cremated here on the banks of Allahabad on banks of ganga and next few years it will be inaugurated…understand this is the most sacred space where millions of enlightened beings walked, will walk, walking, and millions of masters bodies have been given jala samadhi. So most sacred space on planet earth – Maha Kumbha Puri. Maha Kumbha Puri, awakens devotion, knowledge, joy, pride, courageous trust. Ultimately the bliss of Vedic tradition.w hen I went around, I literally felt the courage and the strength of this Vedic tradition. Can you imagine millions, crores of people does not bother about this weather or anything. Simple meagre ordinary food, one or two shawl, simply sleeping in tents all over literally in single digit degree. It was 6 degree few days before. Single digit degree weather. You will not see a single start hotel anywhere. Go around. Not a single place food is being sold. Crores of people being served free food. Every pandaal free food is being served continuously waiting to serve people giving free accommodation. God! I really feel I cannot describe this Maha Kumbha Puri anymore. This is the most happening city in the whole world. It is not just the Shangai, …no non-veg, no alcohol, no other sexual activities or gambling, – nothing.t he whole city just on one truth, one tatva – spirituality! and zero crime. You can see our own tent – no door, no gate nothing. It is all there. Gateless gate! And what a place to live! I sincerely thank all our volunteers and sanyaasis who came earlier and they have done an amazing job. I just want to congratulate and bless them! All volunteers and our sanyaasis, Turiyananda, Pujananda, Atmamaneeshananda and so sincerely they have done an amazing job. With available resources, money and handful of people they have done the best. Let us get ready to celebrate and live the kalpa vaas in Maha Kumbha Puri. Today I initiate you formally to the kalpa vaasa. I request all participants to be integrated and authentic to the whole thing happening here. Because it is not a paid program, do not take it in light way, take it sincerely and practice all this. Today is 6th till 16th we will be here . …I also request all devotees all over the world, don’t miss Kumbha mela. Even if you do not get accommodation in our tent, don’t worry. After 16th it is going to be free, come and spend time then and enjoy the kumbha mela because till march 10th it is going to be there. I declare this is the most happiest city on the planet earth! Most blissful city on the planet earth! How Disney claims they are the happiest place on planet earth, I tell you we are the most blissful city on planet earth – Maha Kumbha Puri. I can give you hundreds of reasons why kumbha mela living here for a kalpa is considered as a spiritual practice and recently the Indo British collaborative study done on kalpavaasis proves even though these conditions are very poor, the kalpavaasis go back very high. Even though there is so much pollution, kalpavaasis go back with high mental health. It is scientifically proven. So I welcome all the people to be here and do the kalpa vaas. And I will continue to expand on this. The very place brings so much of joy and bliss. The place has a powerful space where Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswathi merge. Kalpa vaasa means we are going to stay here for 11 days. 11 day kalpa vaasa we are doing. All these 11 days you will practice the 4 tatvaas intensely – Integrity, Authenticity, Responsibility, Enriching others. How many of you are staying here raise your hand. One team will go around Kumbha Puri and enrich others with our presence. 2nd team is the team which is the Athidhi devo bhaava – you wills tay here and treat everyone literally as God. You don’t know who will walk here. All the siddha purushas, jnaanis, mahatmas will come here as a beggar. Don’t even look at them as beggars. You will treat them as me.
