Today in Bhagavad Gita, 5th chapter, Sanyaasa Yoga, 25th verse –

“labhante brahma-nirvanam rsayah ksina-kalmasah | chinna-dvaidha yatatmanah sarva-bhuta-hite ratah ||”

Translation – “The sages whose sins have become powerless; who have destroyed their (inner) conflicts; who are self-restrained; and who are intent on the welfare of all living beings are able to dissolve themselves in the Supreme Spirit.”

Bhagavan is defining many of the spiritual qualities here. The sages whose sins have become powerless means the sages whose old patterns have become powerless. The new patterns have become so strong, living, alive in them. Old patterns don’t exist anymore. They don’t control your day to day activities anymore. If I have to give one example, yesterday I went to Brindavan and Mathura to have Darshan of Sri Krishna and Krishna Janma Bhoomi, Krishna’s birth place. See person like me who is filled with the experience of Advaitha and Shiva, I could see for half hour Shiva was not there at all. It was purely Krishna. Of course ultimately both Shiva and Krishna are one and the same. There was only Krishna in the form. …he was the only priority. When I settled after I returned to Delhi I was thinking oh God! See the power of that place if it can create such a strong wave of Krishna on me who is already established in the Advaitic experience. Advaitic experience is the most strongest spiritual experience. Even in that space if Krishna can create an impression, ordinary minds small sins are nothing….the depth of Advaitic experience is million times more stronger than your experience as a human being. See your experience of human beings forms the basis for …if an advaitic experience can be filled by Krishna, he can fill any ordinary human experience. He can wash away any sins, any ordinary identities you carry which is root cause of all sins. I tell you sometime when the wave of Bhakti, the wave of understanding, wave of bliss happens in you many of the old sins and patterns are not only forgotten, they just disappear.

So sages whose sins have become powerless; who have destroyed their inner conflicts, whose inner conflicts have disappeared, destroyed. Who are self restrained, who are settled and your inner self who has settled more on their spiritual strength and who are intent on the welfare of all living beings means go on serving, serving, they dissolve themselves into the supreme oneness, supreme existence it is such a straight forward truth. I don’t need to comment on it. I can tell you the truth as it is.

Try, try to make your old patterns powerless, sin patterns powerless. Now I can say this kind of spiritual tsunami has happened to all of them who came to Kailash Yaatra. I can see such a strong spiritual tsunami has happened in them. All their old patterns are washed away. To make old patterns disappear only pilgrimages are useful…like this ns aims at making your old patterns powerless, old patterns dead. So allow the spiritual tsunami, big spiritual wave happen in you through this pilgrimages, enyatras or this niraahaara samyama and make this old patterns powerless.

Now I will answer questions.

Question – Bharat has been taken by surprise by the recent development of a large number of Pakistani Hindus declaring their wish to stay on its soil after crossing over. Swamiji, does Bharatn geography need to be really really protected to protect the Bharatn philosophy too. Will loss of Bharatn land mean loss of great spiritual truths and loss to the entire humanity? please tell us the real essence of Bharat and true service to Bharat. - Ashok kumar , Gujrat.

Ashok, I need to address few issues in your concern and question. First thing from Pakistan, Hindus are being driven out, Hindus coming and settling in Bharat asking for Asylum because of Religious pesercution. If you see 65 years before during independence the percentage of Hindu population in Pakistan and today the Hindu population in Pakistan. Practically they are annihillated. That is the right word I will use – annhillated. That is on one side. The religious persecution. The 2nd issue please understand the Vedic civilization has so much of concern for life, human beings it will not only act as the sanctuary for the persecuted Hindus but for any persecuted being. For all persecuted beings we are the sanctuary ..even if Muslims are persecuted in Bangladesh and run to Bharat we accommodate them. Even if they create trouble for us, we tolerate them and we tell them we also will live happily and peacefully, you too live. We never drive them. I tell you the extraordinary philosophical strength which allows compassion is a unique quality of Bharat. So please understand Bharat is not just a land it is a philosophy. Having patriotism for Bharat is protecting the philosophy which will directly save it. I am not promoting patriotism for Bharat just like any other country promotes – just because you are are born in that country you have to love that country and serve it. My patriotism is not ego based it is spirituality based. So please understand Bharat is not just a geography, it is a philosophy. Your dedication towards Bharat will protect world’s largest, non-violent spiritual land. So service to Bharat is service to whole universe. I can go on with this subject not for hours but for days and months. Anybody who loves life should support Bharat because the life style and the core truths for which Bharatn philosophy stands is love for life. Tremendous compassion non-violence. There is nothing to do with ego. It is completely spiritual centric. So I tell you really really realy, we need to protect the Bharatn geography and Bharatn philosophy both together to keep humanity alive. Sometimes in Bharatn side Bharatn philosophy is being persecuted. Just like what is happening to us in Bidadi, what is being done to us in Karnataka. We need to protect Bharatn philosophy and Bharatn soil. Please understand this is really, really really need of the time. That is all I can say.

Question - Swamiji, recently Oprah winfrey made a very immature remark - Oprah: 'I heard Bharatn people eat with their hands still' Could you please enlighten us on the benefits of eating with hand and why west is so obsessed with this false show and so called " looking gentlemanly " - - Judy from Ireland.

Oprah Winfrey understand all healthy civilizations, the civilizations which live for quite a long time on planet earth healthy, time tested civilizations all usually eat with the hands including African civilizations. Please understand, I wanted her to know her roots and roots of Bharat is one and the same. Both civilizations are time tested. Actually they are not even two different civilizations. It is one and the same. It is from Bharat the rishis went and settled in Africa and created civilization. All civilizations which stood test of time eat with hand. I also wanted to share few truths with eating with hand. Please understand food is not something like medicine which should enter your body and start working on that part. No. food is your life. Frist see through eyes intensely. Then feel with both hands. Remember this is going to become part of your very life, blood and fill your body with that feeling it is going to become part of your blood, part of your organs, part of your body. Somehow, the civilizations which did not understand of food and sleep did not live long healthily. The civilizations which have und the food and sleep withstood the test of time lived, will live and forever, looking gentlemanly this concept of being gentlemanly is pseudo. So I request Oprah try eating with your hand for few days. Then you will understand how it will make you healthy and how it is good for your life. Thank you. I end today’s Satsang with this.
